Self-expression Values edit

Thanks for the message. Not sure whether you saw my comments at Wikipedia:Requests for feedback/Archive22#Self Expression Values. It's basically a question of tone - the article reads like a university term paper, rather than an article you would find in an encyclopedia. For example, the opening sentence: Scholars have argued that self-expression values are part of a core value dimension in the modernization process is what you would find in an essay. An encyclopedia article would begin: Self-expression values are.... Also, it's not clear whether the article contains your own conclusions based on the sources you have cited -- if it does, it is original reasearch or a synthesis of published material that advances your own conclusions, both of which are inappropriate for Wikipedia. If you would like further comments, please post a message at Requests for Editor Assistance. Hope this helps. – ukexpat (talk) 19:29, 18 January 2010 (UTC)Reply
