Speedy deletion nomination of Raghu Kilambi

Grogudicae/@Praxidicae: – I'm a bit confused. Are you sure you have the right article? I created a page about another RHOT participant (Real Housewives of Toronto.) There were no advertisements or any special point of view. What I did was search for news pieces, put them into Wikipedia-style (I think?) templates, excerpted factoids from them and arranged them into an article. Same way I'd write anything else, starting with the sources and building from there. I threw out a few social media like stuff since I thought they couldn't really be trusted. What are the specific problems, again assuming that you weren't thinking about a different page? Sequel part III (talk) 10:07, 14 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi @Deb:. What am I supposed to do? No one has bothered to tell me what standards my creation didn't meet I've read a whole lot of Wikipedia articles and edited some and it doesn't look different to me. It sounds like it might be a mistake honestly. For this article, I don't really have anything to add because I already looked at all the Raghu Kilambi sources on google news, unless there is something more recent. There were some things I didn't include because they didn't seem important but you can check for yourself to see if you disagree. I guess I could try LexusNexus or something? Answers here would be helpful because I'd like to create more articles about RHOT and other subjects.Sequel part III (talk) 10:17, 14 May 2021 (UTC)

The place to start is Help:Your first article, whcih contains a wealth of material. Your complaint No one has bothered to tell me what standards my creation didn't meet is somewhat naïve if you read the welcome message at the head of this page.

Sometimes a draft cannot make it. Sometimes an article has to be deleted because it does not meet the standards.

Kilambi is a living person. For a living person we have a high standard of referencing. Every substantive fact you assert, especially one that is susceptible to potential challenge, requires a citation with a reference that is about them, and is independent of them, in multiple secondary sources which are WP:RS, and is significant coverage. Please also see WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources and WP:SELFPUB which has clear limitations on self published sources. Providing sufficient references, ideally one per fact cited, that meet these tough criteria is likely to make this draft a clear acceptance (0.9 probability). Lack of them or an inability to find them is likely to mean that the person is not suitable for inclusion, certainly today. Fiddle^Timtrent Faddle^Talk to me 07:41, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
