Lancia 3 RO edit

Are you copying this article from somewhere else? Is it a site which allows copying? Please provide your sources of information (not just a bibliography copied from another article, but the sources you have actually used in writing what you have written). PamD (talk) 14:30, 18 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

In reply to your reply on my talk page: you might find it useful to look at Wikipedia:Translation which discusses the procedure for translating from other language Wikipedias and the sort of interwiki links and attributions which are needed. If you can't work out how to make the various bits of infrastructure to work, better to leave them out of the article - as it says in that page, "Wikipedia consensus is that an unedited machine translation, left as a Wikipedia article, is worse than nothing." How does info box work? edit

Your question.

I've scouring about gathering more information about the Lancia Ro and 3 Ro and have put some of the technical information in the info box, but it does not appear on the Show Preview or Save Page setting. Any other help/suggestions to bring up the entry to standard would be much be looked upon gratefully.

Jesse James (lifesaver) edit

Hi, as per your request on my talk page here are a few suggestions as to how you can improve the Joshua James (lifesaver) article:

  • The lead has some issues, see WP:LEAD for more information.
  • Basic sentence structure

"…Joshua witnessed his mother’s and a baby sisters death in the…" Has grammar errors and could be rewritten as: "…Joshua witnessed the death of both his mother and a baby sister in the…"

If you would like the article copyedited, please post a request at the requests page]

  • The first three picture captions are far too long – try to be more succinct.
  • Every sentence does not need its own paragraph – it interrupts the flow and makes the text look odd.
  • More references are required if the article is to make Good Article status.

Hope this helps, Best ► Philg88 ◄  talk 08:38, 31 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Better source request for File:Joshua_James_Gold_Life-Saving_Medal,_USLSS,_obverse.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Joshua_James_Gold_Life-Saving_Medal,_USLSS,_obverse.jpg. You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 05:34, 26 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

File copyright problem with File:Joshua James Gold Life-Saving Medal, USLSS, obverse.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Joshua James Gold Life-Saving Medal, USLSS, obverse.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 22:14, 20 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. File source problem with File:Joshua James Full Portrait.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Joshua James Full Portrait.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
