75.47 edit

Just so you know, 75.47 moved on to 63.193 (Example: 63.193.92.68). Consider rangeblocking on 63.193? --Splat5572 (talk) 04:00, 23 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

RFA at Commons edit

Since my civility problem have stopped at Commons, is this impossible I will ever become an admin?Since you said my RFA over here is not impossible, I don't know about Commons, or it is just going to take a long time for my tantrum problem to be forgotton. I know I just have to not jerk around.--Freewayguy What's up? 02:03, 26 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

I did. Will I never pass the RFA, how many trys will it take to pass the RFA? I will do the same thing to Deadstar too.--Freewayguy What's up? 05:13, 27 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

And proof I've grown up and convince I can control admin tool.--Freewayguy What's up? 05:20, 27 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

I did pay back by apologizing. This might make communities see and be more ncomfortable to give me admin tools. I've grown alot anyways, and now I might been some steps closer than last month. I still have alot of stuff to learn anyways. Also I hve improved my grammar skills. I still don't like books, and will never like books, so writing might still be a struggle.--Freewayguy What's up? 05:33, 27 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

RFA edit

Did I get any closer to RFA than few reviews. My English skills did imporve a little bit however reading and writing is always a ordeal for me. If my English was as good as NE2 I would've written and expanded alot of good articles. THe problem with writing is they are usually a prompt, and I have to focus on one subject, organizing thoughts.--Freewayguy What's up? 18:56, 2 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • You can coach me about writing if you like. My civil problem is actually gone from Commons, I did apologize to Deadstar for vandalism page move, as well as User O by yelling at him.--Freewayguy What's up? 19:33, 2 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

66.66 IP's MOS violation edit

I hope you know 66.66 has been messing up the exit list on mass tons of pages by adding blue, green, white plates on the exit list. I'm not dealing with these since I have enough with warring.--I-405 (Freeway) 21:50, 5 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Should 66.66 have a Level 4 warning or should we block him for a while? he had a level 3 warnng so let's just give him one more warning.--I-405 (Freeway) 22:10, 5 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I gave that user a {{Uw-mos3}}. Since we don't have a Level 4 for MOS violation, I'll just give him level 3. Let Rschen7754 (talk · contribs) know about this.--I-405 (Freeway) 22:19, 5 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Could you get an image (similar to commons:Image:Marquette County, Mich.svg) for List of state highways in Snohomish County, Washington. Exit list issues on some California edit

I don't know why Rschen7754 keep undoing my changes for no rations. I don't know what's wrong with See Golden State Frwy link because that article has it's own exit list, and duplicating an exit list seems annoying. I don't know what's the problem when a person looking at the exit list have to jump between pages.--SCFReeways 23:30, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • Can you answer this question. Because I don't think Duplicating an exit list seems like a solution because people will have to update two lists.--SCFReeways 23:31, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • Rschen7754 just blankly undoing my changes on I-5, I-80, and US 101 in CA. I think this is way out of line and Rschen7754 is not beign fair. He should at least discuss the issue on talk page and let us compromise. i'm putting it on WT:CASH for now. What's IRC channel. Can you help me quickly?--SCFReeways 23:57, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

date= in {{Cite map}} edit

Hi Scott, In this edit you removed the date= argument from {{Cite map}}. Was that intentional? I know there is some history around the use year= and date=. I don't know what the current consensus is. Should date= be added back in? Thanks, Patleahy 17:59, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

Money Game edit

The addition was poorly written the several previous times it had been added and duplicated in the article. Sottolacqua (talk) 16:48, 20 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

In addition, there's a clear difference between what should be considered "encyclopedic information" and "mindless trivia." For instance, fonts, random playings of Golden Road where the "dots" weren't used, whether or not Drew Carey says "Alakazam!", etc. should not be included in article descriptions. The scope and level of detail for most of the pricing game articles is already sufficient and there really isn't much more that can be added without it turning into fancruft. Sottolacqua (talk) 17:34, 20 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Problems with Rschen7754 edit

The problem with Rschen7754 is he's not being fair. He just undos my changes since he thinks he loves it, and mostly he won't say exactly why. Like San Diego Freeway I think should be emrge with I-405, since most contents is about I-405 passing Orange and Los Angeles County, and a little about the I-5. Do you think San Diego Freeway should stay merge with I-405 or should it be kept seeprate page. I see 3 person said to keep it merge with I-405, since whole part of SD Frwy is I-405, then it becomes a I-5 in South Orange County past Irvine, mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Juan, Capo Beach.--Freewayguy 23:16, 27 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Should we merge San Diego Freeway with I-405? I meant oversighter just tell us don't worry about performance. Do you know anything about solar system and planets. On most things like Atmosphere of Titan we keep it merge with Tian, same as Neptune-the deep blue planet Atmosphere of Neptune stays merge with Neptune. Do you even want to try astronomy projects, or no. Do you know Jupiter is a gas planet?--Freewayguy 00:29, 28 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

OK interstates edit

We have severla contributors say not to use state-specific on 25x20px, and state-specific is only use on indep. use or Interstate A, not guide sign or interstate B. Alot of consensus say to only use state-spcific on 88x70px only. --FRWY 03:19, 4 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

State-specific is only on indep use or both guide signs too?--FRWY 03:21, 4 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Most other places, guide sign is use on ind. use only, MO uses neutral in guide sign, but ind. use is state-specific, same as California.--FRWY 03:47, 4 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

This as example. I've seen the Califonria sign drawing 2006-09 illustrate neutral on guide sign use but the 1971 sign drawing still use state-specific. --FRWY 03:49, 4 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Google Maps edit

I'm sorry, whilst you raise a valid point, I will not stop delinking Google Maps, until you or some other contributor provide some concrete evidence that the links are acceptable, especially when there are other 'free' geo-data sources that data of equal value could be obtained from.

Maybe facts are not copyrightable in the US, but they certainly are under EU database rules (which is what Google Maps effectivly is- a large geo-spatial database).

In general the links are commented, rather than an outright removal however so could be easily reinstated.

If you feel the links are justified leave a note on the Talk page for the article concerned, justifying why Google maps data is being used in preference to says, USGS Terraserv , FHA, or countless other data sources that have less restrictive terms compared to Google's.

Sfan00 IMG (talk) 22:18, 15 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

You say citing a source is acceptable, OK in some cases the tagging may have been zealously done (and will be looked at again),

but some were reasonably tagged because the length/coordinate data is obtained from Google's database (and i might point also contain trap numbers). If you think the use of Geo-data from Google Maps is acceptable please comment on the talk page providing the equal of fair-use rationale for the data used. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 22:28, 15 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Cord-data is not copyrightable and does not need a fair-use rational. Facts and figures cannot be copyrighted. -----J.S (T/C/WRE) 23:02, 15 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Is there a way to center-align the banner with the route shield? I've noticed with three-digit routes, the banner is left-aligned. --Fredddie 10:22, 31 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Huh. In Firefox, it everything is left-aligned (which is how I though it was supposed to be, except for the banner), but in Safari, it's all center-aligned. --Fredddie 02:20, 3 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
I ended up added align=center to the offending lines in the table to make it show up correctly. I compared the outcomes in Firefox and in Safari and they look the same.--Fredddie 07:28, 8 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Image request: File:Pend Oreille, Wash.svg edit

I once again return for a map request. This one will be for Pend Oreille County, Washington, a small county with only one city (Newport) and four towns (Cusick, Ione, Metaline and Metaline Falls). There are five current highways (US 2, SR 20, SR 31, SR 41 and SR 211), so this will be a quick job. I'd like the image to include the city, four towns and communties listed on the Wikipedia article on the county. I am soon making a list for the highways, currently undergoing sandboxing here: User:ComputerGuy/Pend Oreille. Thanks and the image should be located at File:Pend Oreille, Wash.svg! –CG 05:45, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Old OK turnpike shield request edit

Hey, I haven't been on IRC lately because with my internet switching off and on, it's become a PITA for me to stay connected. I should be back after today, though, since the company's supposed to fix it today. In any event, the main reason I'm posting here is that I re-took on your request for the old version of the OK Turnpike shields. I messed around in Inkscape for about an hour a couple days ago and came up with File:Muskogee Turnpike shield (old).svg. If that looks good to you, I can upload shields for any of the other turnpikes. Just let me know on my talk page or post at the section for the shields on the request page. Although, since I know you know your way around Inkscape, you could probably do it yourself. =) – TMF 12:56, 14 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
