Sorry about this..... edit

Hello. I'm really glad you have decided to add a bunch of information about the Malankara Church to Wikipedia. Others have told you about the copyright violation problems. I'm sorry, but it's true. Wikipedia could cause itself all sorts of trouble if we were not very careful about copyrighted material. I came to your talk page to tell you about an article I was going to tag myself. If it weren't so much, I would suggest re-writing it all. I would be glad to see this beautiful Christian Church, of which I am rather fond, better represented here. It may take a while to find how you can best help on Wikipedia, but I'm glad you are making the effort.  Sean Lotz  talk  07:21, 9 January 2007 (UTC) Below is my welcome message:Reply

Welcome edit

Hello, Sarunmaani! Welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you find Wikipedia as helpful and enjoyable as I do.
  • If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, or type {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.
  • If you want to play around and experiment to see how everything works, please use the Sandbox.
  • Please remember to sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date.
  • Finally, when you edit any page, always fill in the edit summary field.

If you're already loving Wikipedia and plan to stick around and help, you might consider being "adopted" by a more experienced editor. Just type {{Adoptme}} into your userpage and someone will show up to help.

Below are some recommended guidelines to help you get started. There are a lot of links; read what you want now and save the rest for later. Happy Editing!

Duplicate images uploaded edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Yuhanon mor philaxinos.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Philaxinosthirumeni.jpg. The copy called Image:Philaxinosthirumeni.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and remember exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 13:17, 27 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs edit

Hello Sarunmaani! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 964 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Yuhanon Mor Militos - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

File permission problem with File:Yuhanon mor philaxinos.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Yuhanon mor philaxinos.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Redsky89 (talk) 19:03, 1 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:Mormilitheosyuhanon.jpg edit

The file File:Mormilitheosyuhanon.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 9 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
