Greetings. I assume that the meaning of the name Jahangir that you wanted to include in the article came from something you have read. If so, make a reference to that book or article. If you need help in making a reference go to the Wikipedia help pages. If you are uncertain how to use Wikipedia there is a group of Wikipedians who are happy to help you. Go to Wikipedia:Teahouse and introduce yourself. Regards--Chewings72 (talk) 01:19, 2 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of User:Sarthakniar edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:Sarthakniar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/home/science/Rare-space-radio-waves-to-test-Einsteins-theory/articleshow/50412109.cms. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 07:39, 2 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Pollution becoming the hazardous element of the environment edit

Hello Sarthakniar,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Pollution becoming the hazardous element of the environment for deletion, because it appears to duplicate an existing Wikipedia article, pollution.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. WannaBeEditor (talk) 10:38, 4 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

January 2016 edit

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Pollution becoming the hazardous element of the environment. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. —teb728 t c 10:48, 4 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia is not a place to post your poetry. It is an encyclopedia, use an encyclopedic wp:tone. You should read Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and the welcome section above. Jim1138 (talk) 07:54, 8 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
Do not sign your name to Wikipedia articles. Do you see other's names on Forest? It has been edited thousands of times, significantly by dozens of individuals, yet no names... Why did you remove that image from Forest? Also, you did not cite any sources for your edit. See wp:V Jim1138 (talk) 09:10, 8 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Forest edit

This is the wp:diff here If you notice, the code [[Image:Spiny Forest Ifaty Madagascar.jpg... has been removed. That is the image you removed. If you can't make it work properly, please don't do anything. I don't like fixing all of your errors. Please ask about editing at the wp:teahouse. Earth edit

The derivation of the word 'Earth' (its etymology) is covered in the section of the article Earth#Name_and_etymology. It is not as simple as your text implies "The word Earth is derived from the word soil.". The lead section should summarise the article, so anything added to it should summarise that particular section, which I don't think that your text did. Incomplete citation edit

Hi! I noticed you added a citation to Cell (biology) that was incomplete. When you cite a source, it's important to include enough information so that someone who reads this article can look up the book on their own, so that they can check if the information that Wikipedia says is in the book is really in the book. Having enough information to find the original source is an important part of showing the research that has gone into an article - like showing your working in a maths problem. You can look at WP:CITEHOW to see a list of information to include when you cite sources. Thank you, and happy editing! --211.30.17.74 (talk) 08:39, 12 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia and copyright edit

Hello Sarthakniar, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 20:09, 12 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Red Label edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Red Label, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.   Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
