My RfA thanks

Hi, TrackerTV! Thank you for supporting me in my RfA, which succeeded with a final tally of 75/0/1! I hope I can live up to the standards of adminship, and I will try my best to make Wikipedia a better place. Feel free to send me a message if you need any assistance. :)

Danny Phantom discussion

Hello. You recently participated in a discussion on the possible deletion or merger of some Danny Phantom characters. While all the articles were kept, I noted that many of those commenting on the debate suggested merging some characters into a main list. Seeing this, I've compiled a list of some of the minor characters who may not need their own article, and would like the opinions of those who weighed in originally. You can participate in the discussion here. Ral315 (talk) 18:25, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

November Esperanza Newsletter

Program Feature: Admin Coaching (needs coaches!)
Admin Coaching needs coaches!!! If you are an administrator, or even a generally experienced user, do consider signing up to be a coach.

Admin Coaching, now being coordinated by HighwayCello, is a program for people who want help learning some of the more subtle aspects of Wikipedia policy and culture. People are matched with experienced users who are willing to offer coaching. The program is designed for people who have figured out the basics of editing articles; they're not newcomers any more, but they might want some help in learning new roles. In this way, Esperanza would help keep hope alive for Wikipedia because we would always be grooming the next generation of admins.

What's New?
The Tutorial Drive is a new Esperanza program! In an effort to make complicated processes on Wikipedia easier for everyone, Esperanza working to create and compile a list of tutorials about processes here on Wikipedia. Consider writing one!
A discussion on how Esperanza relates to the encyclopedia has been started; please add your thoughts.
Many thanks to MiszaBot, courtesy of Misza13, for delivering the newsletter.
  • The list of proposed programs has been updated, with some proposals being archived.
  • There is now a new program: the Tutorial Drive! Consider writing a tutorial on something you are good at doing on Wikipedia.
  • The suggestion of adding a cohesive look to all the Esperanza pages is being considered; join the discussion if you are interested!
  • In order to make a useful interlanguage welcome template, those involved in translation projects will be asked what English Wikipedia policies are most important and confusing to editors coming from other language Wikipedias.
  • A discussion of Esperanza's role in Wikipedia is being held, with all thoughts of all Esperanzians wanted!
  • Shreshth91 informed everyone that he will be leaving the Esperanza council as life is rather busy; his spot will be filled by the runner up from the last election, HighwayCello.
Signed...
Although having the newsletter appear on everyone's userpage is desired, this may not be ideal for everyone. If, in the future, you wish to receive a link to the newsletter, rather than the newsletter itself, you may add yourself to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Newsletter/Opt Out List.

RE: Southern Greenlee County...again

The 5 CPs they have are all expired, and the "NEW", the application, is from 2000, when the 5 CPs were applied for, but was not granted at that time. I'd consider it dead. They list their channel line-up at www.dvec.org/sgctva/sgctvaprog.html, which is accurate, except for the last two stations. The last time I was out there, KGUN was on channel 67 and TNT was on channel 69. Not on the list are licensed channels 2, 7 and 11. In their license renewal, they state that channel 2 translates KGUN, that channel 7 translates KOAT in Albuquerque, and that channel 11 translates KVOA. Although I've never seen signals from channels 2 or 11, I linked them to the primary stations on the basis of their license renewals. I also linked all of the other stations that translate local affiliates. The only stations not linked are those that show cable networks.

If you're doing OTA cable, you might look at Fairbanks AK also. A company called Denali Television operates a wireless cable system there. dhett 03:14, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

We don't delete users, and you seem perfectly able to edit. Was it an IP autoblock? --Golbez 03:45, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

The autoblock seems to have expired, let me know if it comes back; and I will archive my talk page when and how I please. --Golbez 03:49, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
Sorry for being rude myself, you're right, and I've archived. --Golbez 03:54, 13 November 2006 (UTC)

I appreciate your help but...

I've noticed that you archived the discussion at WT:PCP. While WP:ARCHIVE does say it may be a good idea to archive talk pages that become larger than 32k it also recommends "If possible it is better to archive talk pages during a lull in the discussion, as it is best to avoid archiving in the midst of an active discussion so that the full context of the discussion is together." thanks! -Zappernapper 15:16, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

PP and Power Points

It would seem that due to an AfD the information on power points at Pokémon game mechanics has been removed (making all that hard work at DABing kinda moot). I will be trying to reinsert some of the data, HighwayCello just rm all the info that was orginally moved from that Gaweful page instead of working to clean it up. RE: G11 nearly gobbled KPDF-CA

Good catch. We seem to be starting to run into some of that lately, first with the guy in Switzerland who wanted to do away with KUNP-LP KPPP-LP dhett 02:30, 23 December 2006 (UTC), then this Canadian wanting to do away with KPDF-CA. At least the first guy had the courtesy to put out a 5-day notice (5-day: wouldn't that just tick off Rollosmokes now?) before issuing an AfD; this guy just doing a G11 - not cool. I think I'll open a dialog with him before he starts going through the rest of the Phoenix template, and I'll check out the article he's so proud of - <sarcasm>just to see what superior writing style looks like.</sarcasm>

I do take the protests quite seriously, however, and am starting to look for ways to improve the quality of my own writing, which I find lacking at times. dhett 04:15, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Shinou map 2.JPG)

Thanks for uploading Image:Shinou map 2.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Your monobook is in Category:Wikipedia tools

Your monobook is in Category:Wikipedia tools. This is most likely because when you were copying scripts into yout monobook you accidentaly copied their category. Since your monobook is not a tool itself, please remove this category from it. If you intend for your monobook to be a tool, please consider creating a subpage with a more descriptive name, and moving the category there. KAZT-TV

I just noticed the info you posted on KAZT-TV about having to close down their Yuma translator K19CX due to exclusivity issues. That's quite a scoop; I had noted on 2/2/07 that they were airing KAET programming, but didn't know why. K65BB in Wellton (30 mi. E of Yuma) also changed primary stations - they're now broadcasting CW programming from KSWT 13.2 Yuma instead of KAZT. Do you have a link to the exclusivity issue? The article could really benefit from a reference there. dhett (talk contribs) 07:52, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Also... the 'former personalities' section on KYMA is getting a bit unwieldy. Is this something allowed in the standards for TV stations normally? TVGenius 05:07, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

User:TrackerTV/Serebii.net

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article User:TrackerTV/Serebii.net, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on [[Talk:User:TrackerTV/Serebii.net|its talk page]]. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Redirect of WP:BJAODN/C

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on WP:BJAODN/C, by Black Falcon, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because WP:BJAODN/C is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting WP:BJAODN/C, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate WP:BJAODN/C itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 08:16, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:KASW-2006Improved.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. After Midnight 0001 19:24, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:WBNXlogo.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:WBNXlogo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 02:38, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
