Disambiguation link notification

Hi. When you recently edited Judge Dredd (pinball), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page 2000 AD (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Judge Dredd articles

Hi. Please don't merge or redirect these articles until the AfD has closed. While good-faith efforts to improve the articles are welcome, outright merging/redirecting in the middle of an AfD disrupts the AfD process. If the consensus at AfD is to merge the articles, then fine, but please wait for the AfD to close. --IllaZilla (talk) 16:00, 3 March 2012 (UTC)

The edit warring is part of a broader issue, and while it doesn't really change anything (except perhaps the tone I will take in addressing the situation), please see the note on my Talk page regarding the User in question. Agricolae (talk) 23:34, 3 April 2012 (UTC)

CJOTUS

Are we sure it's only ever been 18 nominated? Has there never been any nominations to CJ other than Rutledge's that did not survive confirmation? -- Foofighter20x (talk) 17:51, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

List of nominations to the Supreme Court of the United States appears to indicate otherwise. -- Foofighter20x (talk) 18:25, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

There were 18 who served (don't forget Rutledge) out of 22 nominations, 18 confirmed (don't forget Cushing). -- Foofighter20x (talk) 22:26, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

Sorry, you are correct about 17 served. Still, 18 confirmed. -- Foofighter20x (talk) 22:30, 1 July 2012 (UTC)
Frick on a stick. Seems the ability to count is a function of coffee consumption, of which today I have had zero ounces. Your numbers as presently reflected in the article and on my talk page are correct, sir. -- Foofighter20x (talk) 22:34, 1 July 2012 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Shojun.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Shojun.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:02, 28 August 2012 (UTC)

File copyright problem with File:Elizabeth Cross.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Elizabeth Cross.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 11:24, 13 September 2012 (UTC)

Judge Dredd

Actually, it says comic strips and webcomics are italicized. The Judge Dredd feature in 2000 AD is neither of these. QUote marks are correct. --Tenebrae (talk) 21:48, 18 September 2012 (UTC)

In that case, every comic book is a comic strip.  That is simply not so, and it's certainly not the standard definition of "comic strip." I say we ask third-party editors for their opinion. --Tenebrae (talk) 22:09, 18 September 2012 (UTC)
Hmm. No one's been at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Comics since June 2011. I'll ask some WPC admins to weigh in at the Judge Dredd talk page, if you're cool with that. --Tenebrae (talk) 22:15, 18 September 2012 (UTC)

Ulysses S. Grant

Regarding your recent edit (which was correct), either the IP is thinking of the fact that President Grant changed his middle name—or else, perhaps more likely, he is confusing the "S." in Ulysses S. Grant with the one in Harry S. Truman, which truly did not stand for anything. Regards, Newyorkbrad (talk) 01:55, 27 November 2012 (UTC)
