Alan Fletcher

Hello Rich

I'm just wondering if this addition to Alan Fletcher should have been picked up by ClueBot? It's obvious vandalism to me--5 albert square (talk) 01:51, 15 December 2012 (UTC)

ClueBot NG must go!!!

Listen up git, I heard you run ClueBot NG eh? Well I have bone to pick with this so called 'bot'. This automated piece of rubbish is ruining Wikipedia by blocking legitimate edits. I am currently leading the petitions to get rid of ClueBot NG for which, by the way, support is mounting fast. I love helping Wikipedia out by sharing my wealth of knowledge on the lower leagues of British football (or 'soccer' to you yanks), however I am now absolutely fuming at the way in which I have treated by this ridiculously strict 'bot', which will block any (and I mean any) perfectly legitimate information I so kindly donate to Wikipedia. I have a wealth of knowledge on the field of lower league footballers and lesser known teams, information which, if allowed to share, would significantly improve the current appalling state of Wikipedia's pages on lower league English football. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Boomage (talkcontribs) 22:36, 24 December 2012 (UTC)

Well it seems you are unable to sign your own post, want to hide your identity? I would love to see said petitions which you seem to have not linked which makes me think they don't exist... and calling me a git? You are sad... - Rich(MTCD)T|C|E-Mail 22:39, 24 December 2012 (UTC)

Hypocrite

You seem to have a policy by which you always remain civil to others on Wikipedia, Well, in the way you just replied to me that's clearly not the case - calling me 'sad', not very civil is it. You are the one who sent me a message saying remain civil to people on Wikipedia, it seems you have already broken that trust. You're obviously rubbish with computers because you're one of the makers of ClueBot NG which is (as i said) an automated piece of rubbish which wrongly blocks legitimate edits on Wikipedia. You are letting down Wikipedia with your rude reply to users. I can tell you're one of these cocky arrogant gits because of your username. Unbelievable you are, the downfall of Wikipedia.

"Cocky arrogant gits"... really... - Rich(MTCD)T|C|E-Mail 23:24, 24 December 2012 (UTC)

Are you a 10 year old?

Are you a 10 year old? I know it sounds ridiculous but the way you're speaking and the language you are using in your replies is very slang and unprofessional. When I talk to other Wikipedia moderators they speak in a more civilized manner and are more polite. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Boomage (talkcontribs) 23:49, 24 December 2012 (UTC)

1. I'm not a Wikipedia admin or mod or whatever, please don't presume I am.
2. I do not see any slang, show me an example of where I have used slang.
3. You are asking me to be polite? I don't think calling me an arrogant git is really going to help...
4. This is the final time I will respond, if any one else like to chip in to this they are more then welcome too - Rich(MTCD)T|C|E-Mail 00:13, 25 December 2012 (UTC)
It would be interesting to see the ClueBot reversions which are being complained about.TheLongTone (talk) 12:23, 25 December 2012 (UTC)

Messages on CBNG's talk page

Hello!

There's messages on ClueBot NG's talk page that you may be interested in.

User talk:ClueBot NG#Feeding ClueBot false-positives into ClueBot NG, someone is wondering if it's possible to combine User:ClueBot and CBNG's false positive databases? I'm not sure that is possible, firstly because they are two separate bots, secondly because ClueBot has been out of action for so long and I'm fairly certain ClueNet has updated a lot since then and a merge wouldn't work for technical reasons. Thirdly I'd imagine combining the databases would make them massive as ClueBot had close to 1.6 million edits when he retired!

The same editor also edited User:ClueBot/FalsePositives and put ClueBot's wikibreak template on there. They said that they did that because they were reporting a false positive that the original ClueBot made, they found an old false positive reporting page for ClueBot and they said that it took them ages to work out that ClueBot was no longer in action. I've removed the wikibreak template and tidied things up a bit by putting a small notice on the old reporting page explaining old ClueBot is on a Wikibreak and giving the link for ClueBot NG's false positive reporting page at ClueNet. I hope that's ok.--5 albert square (talk) 22:24, 1 January 2013 (UTC)

That's fine, thanks :) - Rich(MTCD)T|C|E-Mail 23:29, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
