Disambiguation link notification for April 28

Hi. When you recently edited Transport in East Anglia, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page NIBS (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Afc

I had an AfC for [Huw & Tony Williams] that I had requested the Help team move the latest request for review to the top of the page. My watchlist says that you did something on May 7 - but all that appears to have happened is that the request for review has disappeared. not sure what to do next, so am using the second refusal dialogue to re-submit.N1geD (talk) 18:42, 9 May 2012 (UTC)

Talkforward

It's a big step to take for something that's no big deal. Read through some back numbers, look at the questions (especially Keepscases'), look at the stress inducing comments, and work out what you'd do if it failed. (I'd have just carried on as before...) Think about why you want it. And why you need it... Think what experience of admin areas you've had - CSD and prod I've seen. Any SPI, ANI or other such? Then talk again with Panyd or me. Or both. Single Source tagging

Hey Wilbysuffolk! I'm wondering if you could remove all the one source tags you added to the articles I made. Because, according to {{one source}} — "A single source is not automatically a problem. Good judgment and common sense should be used." — which it is not, it is a good reference. Thanks! --Tomtomn00 (talkcontributions) 18:36, 18 May 2012 (UTC)

Ok doing it now. Wilbysuffolk Talk to me 19:21, 18 May 2012 (UTC)

A tip

When you find an unnecessary article like Manicure set with one outside link, look at it, and tag it spam. I'm sure I've seen their site before - all those tacky little 'gifts'. I've given this one a level 2 promo warning. There's a hell of a lot of it from Chinese sites. Peridon (talk) 20:33, 18 May 2012 (UTC)

Universidad Privada San Juan Bautista

Was {{allplot}} a click on the wrong checkbox? Or have I missed something? PamD 22:35, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

And Da Nang C Hospital and Da Nang Women's Hospital too! Please take more care. PamD 22:46, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

Position of {{stub}} tags

Please remember to put {[tl|stub}} tags after everything except interlanguage links, per WP:ORDER. It makes life easier for stub-sorters and reduces the risk of duplicated stub tags. Thanks. PamD 22:53, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

Articles for Creation Appeal

Articles for Creation is backlogged and needs YOUR help!

Articles for Creation is desperately in need of reviewers! We are looking for urgent help, from experienced editors and administrators alike, to help us clear a record backlog of pending submissions. There is currently a significant backlog of 2550 submissions waiting to be reviewed. These submissions are generally from new editors who have never edited Wikipedia before. A prompt, constructive review of submissions could significantly editor retention.

Do you have what it takes?
  1. Are you familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines?
  2. Do you know what Wikipedia is and is not?
  3. Do you have a working knowledge of the Manual of Style, particularly article naming conventions?
  4. Are you (at least) autoconfirmed?
  5. Can you review submissions based on their individual merits?

If the answer to these questions is yes, then please read the reviewing instructions and donate a little of your time to helping tackle the backlog.

Click here to review to a random submissionArticle selected by erwin85's random article script on toolserver.

We would greatly appreciate your help. Currently, only a small handful of users are reviewing articles. Any help, even if it's just 1 or 2 reviews, would be extremely beneficial.

Angella Reid Article

I noticed that you added a stub tag to the article I recently created on current White House Chief Usher Angella Reid, and I wanted to let you know I will be working to expand the article, so please feel free review the article's assessment later on. --TommyBoy (talk) 08:26, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

Suggestion

Take a look at this. Could you make your mass-stubs a bit like that? Anyway, I expanded Narborough Railway Line, which got a DYK after I did 13x expansion. One final thing, how many pages have you created, because you should use {{cite web}} in all of them? I've made 888+. --Thine Antique Pen (talkcontributions) 08:52, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

Most have Cite web but I created that on a browser which did not support Provelt annoyingly. I've now back to cite web. I've created 126 pages. Wilbysuffolk Talk to me 09:01, 27 May 2012 (UTC)
Fixed another one. My list is here. Thanks! --Thine Antique Pen (talkcontributions) 09:07, 27 May 2012 (UTC)
By the way, you do not get DYK credit for Narborough Railway Line, as I expanded it 13x. --Thine Antique Pen (talkcontributions) 09:10, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

First of all, why did you copy my signature? Second of all, when people refer to each other they don't call each other User:something. If you can easily recognise the username to be a name (like mine) most people would just call them by their first name (so rather than calling me User:Adam mugliston, you could just call me Adam). Third of all, fill out this: User:Adam mugliston/Adopt/Entry/Englandtransport.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  18:32, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

Essex in WikiProject East Anglia

Why does this wikiproject cover Essex because Essex is rarely considered part of East Anglia and when it is only the northern parts are considered part of the area. Also East Anglia is named after one of the seven kingdoms of the Heptarchy and is Essex named after a seperate kingdom in the Heptarchy.

Also Southern Linoclnshire (according to the Redcliffe–Maud Report and I think is only in there so the whole of the fens is in the area) and the whole of the East of England (which ignorant people often confuse with East Anglia) are sometimes included in the definition of East Anglia however they aren't included in the scope of the project (and in my opinion rightly so).

I posted this to WikiProject East Anglia's talk page (I have edited it slightly from what I wrote on there) and I was told to ask you. Eopsid (talk) 13:43, 24 June 2012 (UTC)

In my experience, Essex is often considered part of East Anglia, together with Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  14:06, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
see File:East Anglia UK Locator Map.svg.Wilbysuffolk (Talk to me!) 14:38, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
There is alot of debate about this on Talk:East Anglia, it is clear that East Anglia has no universally accepted definition. Wiktionary says that North Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk and parts of Cambridgeshire are in East Anglia. Dictionary.com only includes Norfolk and Suffolk. The Roman Catholic Diocese of East Anglia only includes Cambridgeshire, Peterboro, Norfolk and Suffolk. I am not sure what my point is because i'd imagine you are already aware it's an informal name for an area. "Light bulb". So is the reason for Essex's inclusion is it's inclusion on the image on the East Anglia article? Eopsid (talk) 19:00, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
I could rename it Wikiproject East of England if enough support for this is shown.Wilbysuffolk (Talk to me!) 20:47, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
Probably wants to keep the rural bits but lose Lahdan and Sarfend. Can't say as I blame 'im (LOL)! Britmax (talk) 15:53, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

The reason Essex is included is that in Wilbysuffolk's experience and mine too, Essex is always included in the definition of East Anglia, especially North Essex. And since it would be rather silly to include North Essex, but not South, meaning a new project may have to be created for South Essex and that would be especially difficult since there is not clear definition between north and south Essex, as they are not council districts or anything similar, Wilbysuffolk decided to include all of Essex.  Adam Mugliston  Talk  16:10, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

Re: BLP Prod on Shehan Gunawardena

Hi. Please check the history - I did not create the article, I simply moved it to correct the capitalization. I will move the notice from my talk page, and place it on the talk page of the article's creator, Shehan1986 :) Thank you.  BarkingFish  15:43, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

Sorry, I used twinkle. By the way you need to move the page properly clicking move not copying and pasting. Wilbysuffolk (Talk to me!) 15:44, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
I did move the page properly, I used the Move button, and it created a redirect. Please look at the history on Shehan Gunawardena and you will see the Move entry in the log, and Shehan1986's name below it.  BarkingFish  15:47, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
Oh then it's twinkles error, sorry. I will look in to that. Wilbysuffolk (Talk to me!) 15:49, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
I've alerted Twinkle's creator, AzaToth to the issue in IRC already, hopefully he will tell me what needs doing, or simply go into the code and do it.  BarkingFish  15:51, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

List of bus routes in Ely

Hi. I no longer regularly edit Wikipedia, though I do pop back now and again. I have just been looking through the Ely, Cambridgeshire article and spotted the empty page List of bus routes in Ely (part of the tiny Buses section. Do you know what happened to the list and is this easily fixable? --Senra (talk) 16:40, 23 November 2012 (UTC)

It was deleted per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of bus routes in Ely (2nd nomination). This is not easily fixable. It would be best to replace the "Buses" section in the Ely article with whatever sourced information about bus services there is available. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 16:55, 23 November 2012 (UTC)
OK. Thank you for your rapid response. --Senra (talk) 17:22, 23 November 2012 (UTC)
