Request reason:

I would like to be unblock because I fully understand that I have kept making bad pages even after many warnings. I also understand that I have been very disruptive on the IRC channel and I promise I won't do this ever again. I am also no longer being disruptive and I have also became an autopatroller on Wikimedia Commons and English Wiktionary. If I am unblocked, I will continue my work in editing the train articles and I won't be rude ever again. I am very sorry for my previous edits. After my 8 month block and reading Wikipedia's policies, I think I have learnt my lesson.

Decline reason:

Three weeks have passed since Admin Vanjagenije offered to put a new unblock request to the Community. This is more than enough time for you to have prepared the necessary text but you have not responded. Consequently, I am closing your appeal. You now know what is required in any future appeal that you may submit. Just Chilling (talk) 00:03, 5 September 2017 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Pkbwcgs (talk) 15:39, 11 August 2017 (UTC)

Initially, the text in my unblock request was the text I was prepared to submit as my consensus for the unblock request. However, do not want to make another request. Everything in my unblock request is what I am prepared to submit. I have changed my unblock request so this is the final request I am going to put in.

I would like to be unblocked from Wikipedia because I fully understand that I have continued to make bad pages even though I have constantly been warned not to and I understand that I have been very disruptive and rude on the IRC channel and I promise I won't do this ever again. I am also no longer being disruptive on any other Wikis and I have also became an autopatroller on Wikimedia Commons and English Wiktionary. If I am unblocked, I will continue my work in editing the train articles and I am extremely sorry for my previous edits. I understand that if I break any of Wikipedia's policies, it will lead to a re-block again. After my 8 month block and reading Wikipedia's policies, I think I have learnt my lesson. This is the final request that I would like to submit on WP:ANI and I apologise for reacting later than usual. Thank you -- Pkbwcgs (talk) 08:59, 5 September 2017 (UTC)

  • Your ban is result of a community consensus, so new consensus is needed for unblock. You can write a text of an unblock request and I can copy it to WP:ANI (per WP:Offer). Bu sure to fully explain how you understand the reason(s) for block and to write what you plan to edit if unblocked. Vanjagenije (talk) 17:39, 14 August 2017 (UTC)

I have opened an unblock discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard#Unblock request for Pkbwcgs. If you have further comments to add or need to respond to something that is said there, you can write it here and someone will copy it over. only (talk) 10:43, 5 September 2017 (UTC)

Please had the fact that I have contributed to adding more definitions than patrolling page in Wiktionary and I have been more specific in my deletion requests than before. Thank you -- Pkbwcgs (talk) 10:52, 5 September 2017 (UTC)

Taoism Diet

Not a hundred percent sure if this is how to communicate but before you call my edits "vandalism" do some research. As a Taoist I'm offended that this kind of missinformation is allowed to exist. Traditional Chinese Taoist food medicine uses animals. Traditional Taoist tools use hide and leather. PLEASE CORRECT YOURSELF. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:805F:5B80:6014:4407:8CA6:223D (talk) 17:41, 15 September 2017 (UTC)

I can understand this but you have removed useful content. This is called vandalism. Pkbwcgs (talk) 17:45, 15 September 2017 (UTC)

Unblocked

As Drmies is presumably probably busy, I will drop the notice. Your block on the English Wikipedia has been lifted after the discussion here. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask any one of us. Regards, Alex ShihTalk 16:22, 5 September 2017 (UTC)

  • Oh, right--I figured the user would be following the discussion. Thanks! Drmies (talk) 16:38, 5 September 2017 (UTC)

Friendly reminder

Considering the sensitive nature of your unblock, careless tagging like this one might attract more attention than usual. Just be cautious. Regards, Alex ShihTalk 09:20, 6 September 2017 (UTC)

It was an accident. I thought the IP created another Noticeboard for fun and I nominated it for deletion. Once I checked the history, I knew I made a mistake so next time, I will check the history of a page before rollbacking or nominating it for deletion. Pkbwcgs (talk) 09:23, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
  • That is the most unlikely story ever, and it makes me have to look more carefully at the rest of your edits. Drmies (talk) 14:55, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
  • OK--what is this all about? Drmies (talk) 14:57, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
@Drmies: Firstly, I haven't gave him the warning, another user gave him a warning. Secondly, I removed the bad/nonsense content on his talk page. Pkbwcgs (talk) 15:01, 6 September 2017 (UTC)
Huh? I have no problem with the warning--I have a problem with you messing with someone else's talk page. It is not your business, let alone your mandate, to "clean up" someone else's talk page. Please don't do this again, unless it's obvious vandalism or an insult or whatever. Or you can just play it safe and not remove anything from anyone else's user page or user talk page again. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 15:05, 6 September 2017 (UTC)

WP:BLANKING

Hello Pkbwcgs. I noticed that you earlier restored blanked warnings from a user talk page. I did the same before, it's something most editors at least do once. However, per WP:BLANKING, users can delete messages from their talk page which should be considered as an acknowledgement. It's also possible to add an {{ow}} template at the top of their page to notify other editors that previous warnings were issued. Thanks for patrolling new changes, —PaleoNeonate – 17:11, 6 September 2017 (UTC)

G8 Redirects

When nominating redirects for G8, please make sure to check the history. Steelers had some fairly obvious vandalism done to it, and should have been fixed instead of CSDd. Thanks. Primefac (talk) 17:51, 7 September 2017 (UTC)

Talk page warning

Hi, thanks for reverting the changes at Whataburger. However, the warning you left at the IP address' talk page is for factual errors, when the edits were actually vandalism. Please keep that in mind! SorryNotSorry 18:43, 8 September 2017 (UTC)

Regarding warning at User talk:72.174.222.70

Hey! Just wanted to let you know that the warning you posted here seemed a bit bitey to me. I fully appreciate your work at reverting vandalism and I know it can frustrating sometimes, but next time when you come across a new editor who has genuine concerns about an article's content, it would be better if you offered them some help so that they feel more comfortable about discussing their opinions. After all, Wikipedia is a collaborative project. Hope you didn't mind me posting this message here. Happy editing! Jiten Dhandha • talk • contributions • 17:02, 14 September 2017 (UTC)

The only warning is given because the IP has blanked the whole page. I think it is appropriate in this case. Pkbwcgs (talk) 17:04, 14 September 2017 (UTC)
Most people dont have formal knowledge of Wikipedia's deletion policies or other intricacies regarding its workings. Its possible that the IP thought they'd be justified in providing an explanation in the edit summary and blanking the article. In any case, a warning was due (perhaps with some explanation of WP policies) but a direct level 4 warning can seem a bit harsh. It's nothing of much concern, just wanted to let you know :) Jiten Dhandha • talk • contributions • 17:15, 14 September 2017 (UTC)

Paliwal

I am planning to make Paliwal a disambiguation page but is it the right thing to do or not? Pkbwcgs (talk) 18:21, 14 September 2017 (UTC)

Have you read Wikipedia:Disambiguation? For a DAB page there must be at least THREE pages with very similar or same titles, none of which is very big (i.e. no Primary Topic). If only two pages with similar, then hat notes on each, no DAB page. Ronhjones  (Talk) 19:07, 14 September 2017 (UTC)

Be careful before auto reverting IP edits

I notice you've been reverting a lot of IP users edits incorrectly, and I've just noticed that one of you latest edits was again an incorrect revert. I'm talking about this edit where the IP corrected what was the last album by the artist but you just reverted it without giving any reason. Be more careful in future and don't automatically assume an IP editor's edits are incorrect, many of them are in fact very good edits as was this one. Also always use an edit summary, from this edit I'm lead to believe your edit was random vandalism. Canterbury Tail talk 21:57, 15 September 2017 (UTC)

Maintenance

Is there some Wikipedia/Wikimedia maintenance going on? My whole Wikipedia browser has significantly slowed down. Pkbwcgs (talk) 15:55, 16 September 2017 (UTC)

Ronnie o sullivan career Prize money

Your totals for the above are incorrect. I am a snooker statistician and I have the proper career total with sources if you want 92.251.169.183 (talk) 19:57, 18 September 2017 (UTC)

It seems to me that you are blanking the content rather than putting in the correct total and that is quite a problem. Please only put the correct total in but do not remove content from the article. It is against to the rules. Pkbwcgs (talk) 20:00, 18 September 2017 (UTC)

Reverting edits

While I am reverting a user's vandalism, it turns out that Cluebot or another user has already reverted it. Is there a way to make sure that this doesn't happen ever again. Pkbwcgs (talk) 08:46, 19 September 2017 (UTC)

Nope. Primefac (talk) 11:44, 19 September 2017 (UTC)
@Primefac: @Krinkle: There is a feature on RTRC that is called 'Hide patrolled edits'. However, when I check the box and press apply, it throws up this error Downloading recent changes failed. I don't understand why is it throwing this error. Pkbwcgs (talk) 11:49, 19 September 2017 (UTC)
Neither do I, as I didn't even know that tool existed. Primefac (talk) 11:52, 19 September 2017 (UTC)
Perhaps, I will ping the creator of this tool and I have just found out that it was Krinkle. Pkbwcgs (talk) 11:56, 19 September 2017 (UTC)
@Pkbwcgs Thanks for the ping. The wiki software (MediaWiki) implements a feature called "patrolled edits" which allows users with the "patrol" rights to mark edits as patrolled, as well as to filter change lists (such as Special:RecentChanges) by this flag. This flag can be automatically set for edits made by autopatrolled users, and the flag is also set automatically on reverted edits. This greatly reduces duplicate/wasted efforts from multiple accounts (people/bots) reviewing the same edit. RTRC provides the same filter as Special:RecentChanges. However, while the RC-patrol feature is enabled and working fine on many other Wikimedia wikis (Meta-Wiki, Commons, Dutch Wikipedia and many others), it is disabled on English Wikipedia (see phabricator:T143791). English Wikipedia does, however, have New Page Patrol enabled. As such, the option to "Hide patrolled" is visible but can sometimes produce an error in RTRC. For more information about this feature, see mw:Help:Patrolled edits. Krinkle (talk) 16:15, 19 September 2017 (UTC)
@Krinkle: Thanks for your reply. However, I have autopatroller rights on Wikimedia Commons but this 'Hide patrolled edits' feature doesn't work on their RTRC. When I check this box on the RTRC in Wikimedia Commons, it throws up this same error, even though I have autopatroller rights. Pkbwcgs (talk) 16:21, 19 September 2017 (UTC)

Disruptive reverting

You've undone my edit [1] and left me a snotty little form message accusing me of disruption. My edit made the article comply with the image guidelines. Your revert made it violate them. Please explain why you wish to violate these guidelines. 95.145.130.78 (talk) 12:57, 24 September 2017 (UTC)

Huh? Disruptive reverting? That is what you are doing right now by reverting other's revisions continuously. You call someone disruptive reverting when they break WP:3RR and that is what you are doing right now and that is why you have been reported. You must not call me disruptive reverting as I have only reverted your edit once. Pkbwcgs (talk) 13:02, 24 September 2017 (UTC)

September 2017

Usernamekiran (AWB), you might want to double-check that. It was a perfectly legitimate reversion. Primefac (talk) 18:33, 26 September 2017 (UTC)
@Primefac: Hi. I think I reverted an old version of the page. Not sure. I apologise for the confusion. And thanks for the editing the article to correct version. I have also responded Pkbwcgs on my talkpage. See you guys around. —usernamekiran(talk) 18:44, 26 September 2017 (UTC)

Huggle

I am a extended confirmed user and I want to use Huggle but are extended confirmed users allowed to use Huggle or is it only for administrators? Also, do I have to install Huggle on my computer or is it possible to enable it in my preferences panel? Pkbwcgs (talk) 18:50, 26 September 2017 (UTC)

Cleanup

Is there any gadgets or tools which can aid cleanup to reduce the manual cleanup process? Pkbwcgs (talk) 08:31, 30 September 2017 (UTC)

Depends what type of cleanup. There's Twinkle for vandalism, these scripts for MOS, and AutoWikiBrowser for general article cleanup. There's a list of useful user scripts here. Dat GuyTalkContribs 09:59, 30 September 2017 (UTC)

autoFormatter gadget

This gadget is creating a lot of errors and lots of experienced users are reverting my edits that have been performed with this gadget. What is the most appropriate way to use this gadget? Pkbwcgs (talk) 11:44, 30 September 2017 (UTC)

I'm not sure I'm seeing the hyperbole here. You've used autoFormatter 12 times, and been reverted once (and quite frankly, I'm not sure why the edit was reverted. Maybe something to do with those ISBNs). If you start getting complaints about your usage, then ask what to do. Otherwise, carry on.
I assume autoFormatter gives you a preview, so you should be checking to see if it's done anything improperly. Primefac (talk) 12:03, 30 September 2017 (UTC)
