Image copyright problem with Image:Haeundae.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Haeundae.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. Copyvio edit

I notice that you violate the copyedit policy. I wondered how you manage to add a lot of information to Korean cuisine related articles within a short period of time, so followed some of references you attached to the articles. In turn, you just copied and pasted copyrighted contents !!! That is a huge violation on law and you can be blocked here for the misconduct. Please don't do that again. If you think the sources are helpful to enhance the articles, please make an effort to change some of sentences or paragraphs. You can't use them as they are.--Appletrees (talk) 01:12, 24 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

No, you should erase the copyedits or rework them as soon as possible. Unless you fix the problems, somebody soon would find your misconduct and you would get some unpleasant sanction. I suggest that fix it in few days. I refrained from giving the big and conspicuous warning signs, but I didn't because you seem to be a newbie (actually I doubt about it). --Appletrees (talk) 10:01, 24 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
You take the whole content per tangpyeongchae which is a dead match. I altered some sentence of them to avoid it looks like a violation of the copyright law. I'm still working on it but you shouldn't do that. I could've reported you and I also doubt that you're the same person I've encountered at here not with your current account.--Appletrees (talk) 10:15, 24 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
See this article Song Duk-ki which has been banned from editing due to the copyright infringement. The article is also created by a newbie but that kind of behaviors doesn't help anything to the Korean project. Violating policy is degrading the community and causes to lose or delete the whole articles. I don't want all the cuisine articles you touched since your register at English wiki would undergo the same thing as the Song Duk-ki article because the copyright violation. Hear my advice.--Appletrees (talk) 10:47, 24 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image:Haeundae.jpg edit

As notified earlier, the image Image:Haeundae.jpg lacked license information. As other images uploaded by you (Image:Main bldg of baekyangtemple.jpg and others) are licensed under GFDL (tagged {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}}), I have added the same tag to the image. If there is a problem, please change the license of the image. Thank you. --Kusunose 03:34, 27 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Regarding your edits on subway station articles on the Seoul Subway edit

Hello. I've noticed that in the past couple of weeks, you've added a lot of information to articles on subway stations on the Seoul Subway. I recognize that you meant to contribute with good intentions, and that is something that I would like to commend you on.

However, your edits seem to have numerous grammatical and spelling errors in them, and that is a bit of a problem. An article should not be difficult to read and comprehend, and I'm having those kinds of problems on your edits.

As for spelling errors, you could run a spell-checker on a word-processing program. Mozilla Firefox also points out spelling errors as you type, which is kind of nifty. It's not that difficult, and it makes life easier for the rest of us on Wikipedia.

Grammatical flaws may be harder to catch, but the errors you're making are pretty clear for anyone to see. Moreover, these sorts of grammatical errors are not up to the standards of articles on Wikipedia, which is accessed by millions around the world. Again, I'm sure there would be some way to reduce the number of errors.

Thanks for your time, and I sincerely hope that you keep this in mind the next time you make edits on Wikipedia articles. Sungminkwon (talk) 06:56, 3 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Welcome back edit

Huh? You're not removed from the project at all. None can do so because the project is purely managed by volunteers and has no obligation unless the participants want to stop coming around th project or are infinitely banned from the English Wikipedia. You're always welcome to the project. At that time, you were a new user, so would not know how important the copyright policy in Wikipedia. Aside the matter, you're a good contributor especially to Korean cuisine. :) Welcome back. --Appletrees (talk) 14:06, 25 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Image:Haeundae.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on Image:Haeundae.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Haeundae.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Asaka-no-miya edit

What do you mean by not personal on my edition of Asaka-no-miya? I searched and found certain articles concerning his rituals and he actually conducted such rituals in Gongju. Would you let me know your clear reason for deleting them? Pju0353 (talk) 12:50, 27 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

The article you edited was about a group of people, not about a person. It's that simple. Chris (クリス • フィッチ) (talk) 16:17, 27 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Huh? Group of people? I mean what kinds of people do you mean by. It was not acceptable as I meantioned that he actually visited and did rituals.Pju0353 (talk) 08:09, 28 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Bangladesh-South Korea relations edit

Hi, the difference is the dash, i.e. "–" instead of "-". I know they both look pretty similar, but I believe that's the type to use. Regards. PC78 (talk) 15:31, 27 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Tundzha River edit

Hey there and thanks for the question. The Bulgarian pronunciation is /ˈtundʒɐ/ and the Turkish one should be something very close because the Bulgarian name is actually based on it. The /dʒ/ is the sound of the j in English Jack. Tundzha and Tunca both seem to ultimately come from Tonzos, which is the river's ancient Thracian name. Re: Pillar of Hercules edit

Hi Pju! Thanks for taking interest in the article and taking time to translate it. Yes, the peak in the centre of the photo is The Rock of Gibraltar. If you enlarge the image, you will be able to see the North African Mountain, Jebel Musa (Morocco), in Morocco over the horizon. This is said to be the other Pillar of Hercules. I hope this helps. Please feel free to translate other Gibraltar-related articles to Korean. Thanks, --Gibmetal 77talk 12:31, 25 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

No problem. It would be my pleasure to help you out wherever possible. Kind regards, --Gibmetal 77talk 12:08, 27 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Busan highlighted at map.

I want to build up graphic features of Mokpo and it is needed to highlight the location at South Korean map like this please help me and I hope where I can exactly find such ways to do by myself. Pju0353 (talk) 23:55, 8 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Is what you are looking for a map that highlights the Honam region that Mokpo is in? If so, you can submit a request for a map to be made at Wikipedia:Graphic Lab/Map workshop if you don't think you can make one yourself. If I have misunderstood you request, either let me know, or just remove the -helped from your helpme request. Monty845 05:12, 9 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
Ah I did find a way to mark it on a national map, but if you want it colored like that, you can ask there. As for the help tag, once it has the -helped added, the request is closed, if you want you can remove the template, or just leave it. I am attaching a location map, that wont do exactly what you want, but it should be an easy substitute. Let me know if that will work for what you want to do. Monty845 04:24, 10 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
Ok, check out Mokpo now, there are some parameters you can use to tweak it if you want. Oh and the coordinates are actually for the airport, so if you have better ones go ahead and adjust it. Monty845 05:10, 10 May 2011 (UTC)Reply
To add maps to other articles, the code is | pushpin_map = South Korea | pushpin_label_position = left | latd = 34.7589 | longd = 126.38 and the full template documentation can be found at Template:Infobox settlement, but basically take that code and change the coordinates as needed.
