Thank you for thoughts on the article talk edit

Thank you for reflecting the Gerechtigkeitsspirale!

Did you know ... that a church's 1510 spiral of justice declares: "Justice suffered in great need. Truth is slain dead. Faith has lost the battle"?

The poem ends with "Praise the right thing".

Per Holknekt edit

Please take a look at the article Per Holknekt that I have created. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.--BabbaQ (talk) 22:33, 20 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

I've taken a few whacks at it. My principal concern is the information that is not there. There is almost nothing, for example, on his first 20 years of life: parents' names, siblings (other than Thomas), education, etc. I have inserted a number of hidden comments in the text where more information would be useful. --Piledhigheranddeeper (talk) 19:54, 22 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to International Civil Aviation Organization airport code may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. Radio in Mexico edit

Hey, I saw your text question on Radio in Mexico, which I wrote.

The 1,750 figure includes all licensed AM, FM and shortwave radio stations, including commercial and the various noncommercial types. It does not include pirate radio stations, of which there are decent numbers (and which are illegal and seized from time to time), etc. The breakdown is 1,316 commercial and 434 noncommercial.

It does include some double counting, because of the way the figure is counted; all AM-FM combos are double-counted, and there are also 10 listed boosters (in the cited table, "EC", equipos complementarios). It is nigh impossible to find any info on boosters; we used to have scarcely better luck getting info on TV relay transmitters.

It's a fairly accurate number. The US has north of 15,000 separate radio stations plus 6,000 FM translators and boosters and 1,300 LPFMs. I expect the FM numbers to start spiking when they finally reduce the station spacing to 400 kHz and open the floodgates to new radio stations across the country. Raymie (tc) 06:15, 20 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for clearing this up. I did not realize that Mexico has about one-tenth as many stations as the United States (I can certainly understand counting both sides of an AM-FM pair, and I sympathize with difficulties in getting info on retranslators/boosters). --Piledhigheranddeeper (talk) 14:31, 20 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
The main problem is that Mexico has insisted on 800 kHz station spacing for a very long time (e.g. 90.5, 91.3, 92.1). They are finally getting the ball rolling on cutting that down to 400. That should mean new FMs even in Mexico City for the first time in forever. Raymie (tc) 15:42, 20 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:MenAreLikeStreetcarsCover.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:MenAreLikeStreetcarsCover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 18:57, 3 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:StagLineCover.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:StagLineCover.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 22:36, 8 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Maudie'sDiaryCast.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Maudie'sDiaryCast.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
