Please stop

What you are adding is spam. You are copying and pasting things that say "our" and other promotional materials. Please rewrite them such that they are not advertisments. Wikipedia is not a propaganda machine. Alright, I understand that your projects are academic in nature, but the articles you've added should still be cleaned up a bit to be more encyclopedic. OBO Foundry particularly could use some work. Sorry for the strong response to your articles, but we have a problem here with spammers and PR folks, which is what you are acting as. As for the commercial tag, it is often used as a catch-all spam tag even though it isn't completely accurate. One last thing, I urge you to remove email addresses from your articles and talk page comments. These addresses will be picked up automatically by spammers. Also, Wikipedia is copied wholesale by well over a hundred different sites, as is allowed under the terms of the GFDL, so your addresses will be spread around a bunch. If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

• You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
• Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
• Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
• In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. I understand that this term is your own coinage, and I have some concern that, unless it has been the subject of substantial independent comment, an article about it will not be acceptable under the fundamental Wikipedia:No original research policy. Before putting much effort into this article, you should read that carefully, in particular noting that it says:

"If no reliable third-party sources can be found on a topic, Wikipedia should not have an article about it. If you discover something new, Wikipedia is not the place to announce such a discovery."

and:

"Do not combine material from multiple sources to reach or imply a conclusion not explicitly stated by any of the sources."

Other relevant guidelines are WP:NEO: "To support an article about a particular term or concept, we must cite what reliable secondary sources, such as books and papers, say about the term or concept" and Wikipedia:Notability, the inclusion criterion, which looks for "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject."

When I posted the message above referring to WP:REFUND, I thought I had already made a response there; but I now see it is not there - I must have omitted to click "Save page" after previewing to check it. Apologies: I will repeat a slightly tweaked version below here:

Copyright is a very serious issue for Wikipedia, and I am sure you will understand that we cannot restore copyrighted material, even temporarily, on the basis that someone on the end of a wire says it is OK. I will email the text to you if you enable email on your account. To do that, click on "Preferences" at the top of the screen, and at the bottom of the "User profile" tab enter your email address (which will not be visible to me or to spammers) and check the box marked "Enable email from other users".

The way to make a copyright release is described at WP:Donating copyrighted materials, but for reasons described above I have some doubts whether this material would be acceptable under the Wikipedia:No original research policy. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 23:16, 16 March 2014 (UTC)

Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
