Proposed deletion of Giuseppe D.

edit

The article Giuseppe D. has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. My76Strat 02:52, 9 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for uploading File:GDprofilepic.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. MorganKevinJ(talk) 04:17, 9 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:GDprofilepic.jpg

edit

Thank you for uploading File:GDprofilepic.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 04:08, 11 February 2011 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Logan Talk Contributions 04:08, 11 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Offer to assist

edit

Hello Pepstar, when you indicated that some of the terms flying about were as effective as a foreign language in helping you understand, I wanted to extend an offer of assistance. Most often when you see the blue link within the text, you can click that link to also get more information. For example, when I suggested that the article should be userfied, I included it as a blue link in case you needed more information, or if the term was unfamiliar. Perhaps look at some of the blue links that are in the text, as these are things that someone feels might help you in what ever circumstance you are dealing with. I am willing to walk with you through the process of writing your first article, and helping you understand the relevant Wikipedia policy which governs whether or not the writing qualifies as a Wikipedia article. Good luck to you. My76Strat 03:02, 16 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Yes, please. From the top of my article, walk me through until you see a red flag so I can understand what is wrong at that point and what I can do to rectify it. I also am trying to request the pic to be undeleted or should I repost with the copyright tag done correctly. Pepstar (talk) 03:42, 24 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • I have moved the article to User:Pepstar/Giuseppe D. - I see that My76Strat has offered to help, which I am glad to see. Be warned, however, that the move to your user space is only a temporary measure to give you time to "fix up" the article. If I see a 4-week period where no work is done on the draft article, I will delete it with no further warning. Having said that, I hope that you can bring it up to the standards of Wikipedia, as I don't like to see people's work deleted if it can be avoided. Please tell me what's the first thing I should fix on my page. Thank you. Pepstar (talk) 05:29, 5 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
