John Mitchell peer-review request

I'd love to get your feedback on an article I created and recently submitted for peer-review on Pittsburgh Steelers assistant head coach John Mitchell. Thanks in advance for your time. -- Deejayk (talk) 17:54, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi. Concerning this edit of yours, I would like to suggest you reading {{Talkheader}} a bit. Not all talk pages need this template. Thanks, Magioladitis (talk) 13:28, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

Edmund Harvey (footballer)

Hello, recently created the above, and was wondering if your books could clear up a bit of confusion. Michael Joyce's Football League Players' Records has Harvey at York City between Birmingham and Bradford City, whereas my Birmingham sources have him moving directly to Bradford. Do you have any mention of him at York? presumably it would be at the end of the 1926/27 season, if it happened. I'm asking Mattythewhite as well. Also anything else you can add (or correct)? date of death would be nice. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 08:40, 17 April 2009 (UTC)

Follow-up: Matty confirms he spent the whole of 1926/27 season at York, after "failing to make an impact" at Sheffield Wednesday... See conversation User talk:Mattythewhite#Edmund Harvey (footballer) / User talk:Struway2#Edmund Harvey (footballer). cheers, Struway2 (talk) 07:25, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

Jack Foster (football manager)

Got any more info on him?

A Jack Foster played for Vale between 1917 and 1919 in the war and non-leagues. Its possible they are one and the same.--EchetusXe (talk) 13:01, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

Hi Peanut, any chance you could add some info about this player's Bradford career on behalf of Struway2? Cheers, GiantSnowman 09:41, 3 May 2009 (UTC)

GA Sweeps invitation

Hello, I hope you are doing well. I am sending you this message since you are a member of the GA WikiProject. I would like to invite you to consider helping with the GA sweeps process. Sweeps helps to ensure that the oldest GAs still meet the criteria, and improve the quality of GAs overall. Unfortunately, last month only two articles were reviewed. This is definitely a low point after our peak at the beginning of the process when 163 articles were reviewed in September 2007. After nearly two years, the running total has just passed the 50% mark. In order to expediate the reviewing, several changes have been made to the process. A new worklist has been created, detailing which articles are left to review. All exempt and previously reviewed articles have already been removed from the list. Instead of reviewing by topic, you can consider picking and choosing whichever articles interest you.

We are always looking for new members to assist with the remaining articles, so if you are interested or know of anybody that can assist, please visit the GA sweeps page. In addition, for every member that reviews 100 articles or has a significant impact on the process, s/he will get an award when they reach that threshold. If only 14 editors achieve this feat starting now, we would be done with Sweeps! Of course, having more people reviewing less articles would be better for all involved, so please consider asking others to help out. Feel free to stop by and only review a few articles, something's better than nothing! Take a look at the list, and see what articles interest you. Let's work to complete Sweeps so that efforts can be fully focused on the backlog at GAN. If you have any questions about the process, reviewing, or need help with a particular article, please contact me or OhanaUnited and we'll be happy to help. --Happy editing! Chris Dunphy

Hello there, I thought I should inform you that I have edited the details for Chris as it incorrectly states that he has a son "Jamie" who is a paper merchant based in Dudley. I am the eldest of Chris's five children and can assure you that none of us is named Jamie or operates a paper business. I hope this clarification is of some use to you. McLaughlan/McLaughlin

I'm getting more and more confused about the correct spelling of our reserve keeper's name - the BBC, as well as City themselves, use both spellings, although 'McLaughlan' does seem to be more popular...can you shed any light on the matter? Cheers, GiantSnowman 11:56, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Edits to the football association page

Hi Peanut4,

I just took the time to review this post once more after several months...

I hope I am using this correctly, I wanted to leave you a message as I would like to understand why you feel I should be banned from commenting on the FA page.

You say I am wrong, can you explain why? I would definitely like to have a good discussion with you, only if we can do this in a constructive way. I have facts and grounds to state what I am bringing to the forum, since you seem to have the power to ban people from this site, I would like you to explain yours.

Looking forward for your response, feel free to email me directly (Jf_fer@yahoo.com)
