PROD tags should not be replaced
Hi. This edit of yours to Los Teke Teke was improper: once a PROD tag has been removed by anyone, including the article author, for any reason or none, it may not be replaced - see WP:PROD#Objecting. The point is that PROD is intended for uncontroversial deletions, to save unnecessary work at AfD, but if someone removes the PROD template the deletion is evidently not uncontroversial, and any further deletion proposal must be done by AfD. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 19:35, 28 April 2013 (UTC)
Proposed deletion
Notify author/project: == Proposed deletion of Los Teke Teke ==
The article Los Teke Teke has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- no sign or source of notability. Poorly written. Not encyclopedic. WP:Fart
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 19:54, 28 April 2013 (UTC)

- I did not say you were "the author." You were a contributor at one point as reflected in the history, and since I don't precisely know the meaning of the phrase (you were a "contributor" according to the history), I erred on the size of giving too many people notice, rather than too few. John in DC says we have to use another route to delete this abysmal article. 7&6=thirteen (☎) 20:18, 28 April 2013 (UTC)

Hello Osplace
The rather troublesome and un-communicative editor we have both been 'chasing' around seem to have also made a 'new' page for the men's volleyball here 2013 FIVB Volleyball Men's U23 World Championship and is trying to redirect the original page there.
I have given them level 3 warning for 'blanking' with additional custom message about cut-and -paste moves and edit warring. (Sigh!) Regards 220 of Borg 16:25, 7 October 2013 (UTC)

I had a look for that and found some IPs apparently from Iran where the editor seems to have an interest. Hard to understand why they wont communicate! 220 of Borg 00:44, 8 October 2013 (UTC)

Re: Third party sources on CAC Games
From what I remember results don't have to be third party (something about numbers can't be biased). The issue about the site going down is a bigger concern though. While I have no problem looking for third party sources there are over 400 events at the games and finding all the sources (mostly news reports) for all of them is time consuming and right now my top priority is getting the medalists onto Wikipedia.JoshMartini007 (talk) 19:25, 17 November 2014 (UTC)

Hi! In this page 2014 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship qualification Japan and Thailand qualified at 7 Sep, but winner and runner-up I think it should be 8 Sep. If this page show qualification date is 7 sep, the title should be finalists or something like this. What's your opinion?Noncommittalp (talk) 23:16, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- If both teams qualified on 7 sep, no matter the result of the 8 sep it should be either pool winner or runner-up. There is should be some license to write either pool winner or runner-up, even when this was decided on 8 sep. I would not write finalist and the 7 sep date, I would prefer including the final ranking, because the viewer should notice how they ranked in the qualifier. Probably we should let the day 7 sep and the final ranking and include a note stating this. Interesting. Osplace 21:48, 31 March 2015 (UTC)

Hello! I want more opinion. In page 2015 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship, Someone add Japan team send their U23-team to the competition. But, I think it shouldn't be in the page, because 1. It like defend Japan for bad result of competition. 2. I think it's not important information to add, because every team can send everybody follow FIVB rule. So, it shouldn't be in the page. 3. There are competition which countries didn't send their best team, the information like this isn't include in the pages. 4. I think the information like this should include national team page not in competition page. Noncommittalp (talk) 00:43, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
more question about volleyball page
Hello! I add the leaders in statistic section in 2015 FIVB Volleyball World League. I want an opinion about players'name. Wikipedia's page isn't as same as Official website. Example, nickname 1st Matt Anderson(wiki) Matthew Anderson(off), 2nd Chinese and Korean name which last name before first, 3rd Spanish Portuguese Persian Arabic name which hard to find what the real name is. So, I think it should follow official website. What your opinion?
One more question, I think the infobox of volleyball was changed, Do you know what's going on?
Thank you Noncommittalp (talk) 09:12, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
- About statistic section, are you willing to provide references? I have not find any myself. Wikipedia have articles (not pages) about people, but the name on Wikipedia have to be according to WP:NAMES. Also, you can read about hatnotes. You should always follow official website names, and remember, other editor will join your work and help with corrections. I could not understand your last question, could you please be specific about the infobox are you talking about? Thanks, and keep working. Osplace 13:33, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
- The references is in official website, but I didn't added the reference, because I will rewrite in separated section not include the results. About the names, I should use Matthew Anderson , Myung Geun Song , Milad Ebadipour Ghara H. , and another one, the name which include letters that aren't english like Marko Podrascanin or not?
- The infobox, I found someone convert template:Infobox FIVB tournament Noncommittalp (talk) 21:51, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
- Well yes, is that simple, there is nothing wrong with those non-english names. Please take time and read WP:NAMES. The infobox you mention was the case of a WP:WAR. Be aware that when including text on wikipedia you have to provide references, always. If you want to test, use your sandbox. Osplace 20:21, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
Conflict in volleyball World league page
In 2015 FIVB Volleyball World League, there are anonymous users edit section:Qualification in the table of participating team.
first one add Germany *withdrew, but another one remove it. They revert each other many times.
So, I want your opinion. Please see in the page. My English is not good I don't know how to explain the situation.
Moreover, the anonymous users also do in World grand prix's page which South Korea withdrew. Noncommittalp (talk)
- The qualification section of the articles says:
- But the provided reference says: "In Group 2, Germany have withdrawn their team from the competition and will be replaced by Japan, who move up to Group 2 from Group 3. Japan will be replaced by Venezuela in Group 3." That is the reason we have to fix the article.
- In the other hand, I have found this saying that South Korea was part of Grand Prix, but no further details are provided. The corrections have to be made to the articles, the user will be reported. One of them have been blocked from editing before. Osplace 17:50, 2 July 2015 (UTC)

Notability of Victor Poletaev
Dear Osplace
There are no factors listed on volleyball project page that say which player is notable and which is not. But I myself think every player that is playing in a professional team or under age players who have won a world or continental tournament award are notable. what are your factors?
Victor Poletaev has under age awards and also he is a member of Zenit Kazan club that perhaps is the strongest club in the world and he has played in several matches in Russian super league and CEV champions league.
And if these are not enough, he is going to be part of Russian senior national team in the forthcoming 2015 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup.[3][4] I think members of senior national teams are definitely notable players, am I right? Tomcat313 (talk) 15:35, 20 August 2015 (UTC)
- Tomcat313, NO you are not right, even if you "think yourself" any idea. Here is the discussion were the WikiProject Volleyball decided that under age players not even medalists, not YOG, not awarded are deemed notables. And yes World Cup is one of the top competition just participation is enough. And no, being member of a senior team is not enough. Osplace 15:56, 20 August 2015 (UTC)
Conflict in 2016 FIVB World League
Hello!
I have some conflict with an anonymous user about teams in Group 3 of 2016 World league. The news from FIVB is not comfirm the teams who will play in group 3, but there are the news from Some national federations show the 8 remaining teams from 2015 edition will qualified. From, Finnish, Spanish, and montenegrin news. But, before FIVB declared teams in 2016, CEV released the news Slovenia will play in 2016 by winning the 2015 European League like Montenegro and Greece in 2014 Europeam League. So, many confusing now.
The news from Slovenia claim its team will play in World League next year. All of references came from the anonymous user except the one from Finnish is mine. I add all refs in qualification section which you can see if the user does not revert it again.
You can see the ref from Montenegro show what teams which it will play in WL. It look like the same teams as Slovenia ref, but Slovenia replace Mexico. But, the user want to removed Tunisia for no reason.
I think the teams from group 3 should be removed until FIVB comfirm. Please see the situation, and tell me your opinion.
Thank you so much.Noncommittalp (talk) 23:20, 22 August 2015 (UTC)

RE:Deletion
I saw you left a message on my talk page about needing to delete some more articles. Please, in the future, don't do that. People might look at that as if it's canvassing. Since that might be portrayed negatively, I'll refrain from voting on the AfD and the TfD; but I do agree, it needs to be deleted. The Undead Never Die (talk) 00:56, 16 September 2015 (UTC)

Meta translation coordinators, 00:18, 13 November 2015 (UTC)I want your opinion about WL/WGP pools composition
I actually stuck with this topic. I think World League(WL)/World Grand Prix(WGP) article should keep original pool composition from FIVB announcement, WL WGP. The pools composition order by ranking, but I didn't agree. Here are my reason
- 1. Many competition pages didn't use ranking order like European championship didn't use European ranking order. The competition had a format(can see in it regulation) of pools composition which didn't order by ranking, the article had kept the original composition. Also in Asian championship which had a format, too(from regulation).
- 2. I have seen a format of WGP group1 in 2014 and 2015. Both had the same format to change week1' pools composition to week2 and week3, but I wasn't sure. Now, I am sure that there are the format of WL/WGP pools composition. Because the 2016 pools composition of WGP group1 and all groups of WL use the same format. I made the table in order to compare the pools composition in User:Noncommittalp/sandbox Please visit my sendbox to see it, you will see the relation. The format in 2016 a little bit change from 2014/2015 WGP. If you want to know, I can show you later.
- 3. The World ranking didn't relate anything in WL/WGP's pools composition unlike both men's and women's World championships.
- 4. The old competition articles, especially, didn't denote the World ranking except the World championship article which use the ranking directly. And, I can understand why they didn't denote the ranking, because there aren't relation.
- 5. FIVB sport regulation use the position of the pools composition to match up schedule by Berger table (wikipedia has only French article).
- So, please consider one more time, and tell me how do you think? Thank you. Noncommittalp (talk) 17:14, 6 November 2015 (UTC)
- I cannot find any relation. We should probably skip that. We should only focus in getting the provided information with references. There is no relation at all. Previous article lack this information because there is nothing to say about it. Probably is just about commercial reasons, internal arrangements, FIVB has not provide that information yet, and we cannot do any Wikipedia:No original research. Osplace 18:22, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
- I think I did not do Wikipedia:No original reseach. I want to keep the information in the same as the published source, the original pool composision from FIVB website, showed. And, I think the way that use ranking order is do against Wikipedia:No original source. I also think to use the ranking make the readers think the ranking relate to the pools composition. You can see Youtube:FIVB World Grand Prix 2014 draw to proof the ranking did't relate the composition. All of informations 1.-5. just were claim for supporting. The ranking ordering was introduced in 2014 edition, the elder pages did not denote and prior by ranking. Noncommittalp (talk) 10:45, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
- Leave the matter like that, there is no need to talk about if there is no source. If you do so, then is a Wikipedia:No original research violation. Osplace 14:56, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
- Could you tell me why using pools composition follow the FIVB announcements, WL WGP, are Wikipedia:No original research violation. Noncommittalp (talk) 15:35, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
- Using FIVB referenced pool compositions are not, I have not say that in any way. I do not understand your disagreement: I think World League(WL)/World Grand Prix(WGP) article should keep original pool composition from FIVB announcement...but I didn't agree. You are contradicting yourself. Should the article follow the FIVB pool, that I agree or do you oppose doing so? Osplace 15:45, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
- You forgot 1 sentence "The pools composition order by ranking". Perhaps, I forgot 1 word. "I think World League(WL)/World Grand Prix(WGP) article should keep original pool composition from FIVB announcement. Now, the pools composition order by ranking, but I didn't agree". Noncommittalp (talk) 15:52, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
- Still do not understand anything. Fill in the blanks: The recent articles have this problem:____ and my proposal is ___. Osplace 16:12, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
- Problem: The pools composition of 2016 WL/WGP now use rank order unlike FIVB announcements. My proposal keep all positions in pools composition like FIVB announcements WL WGP.Noncommittalp (talk) 16:27, 16 November 2015 (UTC)
- I do not understand why that should be a problem. You edit a lot of volleyball articles. Remember WP:OWN, if you do not know this policy, then you must read it. Not everything will be displayed as you like here in WP. Learn that by heart and keep editing. FIVB pools are completely random. Either way seems ok for me. But, it should not necessarily needs to be your way. Osplace 17:02, 16 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Pool composition didn't finish yet. And, I want an opinion about WL/WGP pages.
1. The pool compositions of 3 groups of 2016 WL and 2016 WGP group 1 didn't random. I wrote the format in talk page of 2016 WL. But, OK I didn't want to use that format anymore.
2. I have had this problem, because 2013 and older WGP pages have shown pool composition which FIVB announced, not World ranking order, not alphabetically. So, I really did not understand why I can't use the same way. I want an answer.
3. So, use World ranking order, right? I will the old pages in World ranking. But. I prefer alphabetically.
OK, next topic, How do you think if I change all times of intercontinental round to UTC+0. I think it is easy for readers to compare their time.
Next one about pool ranking criteria, Do you think if I change "Pool standing procedure" to "Pool ranking criteria" like recent FIVB competitions. And about number 5, Result of the last match between the tied teams, is for the two tied teams. When more than two teams are tied, I think "result of last match between the tied teams" is wrong.Noncommittalp (talk) 15:48, 18 December 2015 (UTC)
