Speedy delete edit

Hi I undid your speedy delete nomination as G1 is not an appropriate as the text does not consist entirely of incoherent text or gibberish with no meaningful content or history. It was however a G12 criteria delete candidate and probably a G11 as well. You might want to read WP:SPEEDY to help you choose the right category and maybe do a bit of editing yourself before patrolling the new pages as you seem to have only been adding categories reverting edits and nominating for speedy deletes. This should help you understand the difficulties encountered by editors. --Domdeparis (talk) 11:18, 4 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

I would reiterate this point; G1 is only for incomprehensible nonsense, such as "dhgionvguabkebt" as the only content. It isn't for anything you can read and understand, even if poorly written. Please post here that you understand this. Thanks 331dot (talk) 11:14, 6 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
@331dot: I'm afraid that this may be an account that has been created only to carry out modifications via Twinkle or to revert edits. For the moment the person has not written a single word in any language anywhere and as stated on his user page has a non native speaker level of English. This may explain the random speedy delete nominations. --Domdeparis (talk) 13:37, 6 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Domdeparis: That would seem to add up, absent any comment from this person. 331dot (talk) 20:34, 6 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy delete nom edit

Are you trying to delete the non-notable article Simon Nwakacha? If so, this is the second time your tag has listed Simon_nwakacha_bibliography. The article is not a bibliography, but a biography. DonFB (talk) 15:25, 4 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

January 2017 edit

Hello Nishant Kharel. Thanks for patrolling new pages – it's a very important task! I'm just letting you know, however, that there is consensus that we shouldn't tag pages as lacking context (CSD A1) and/or content (CSD A3) moments after they are created, as you did at Letsshave. It is also suggested that pages that might meet CSD A7 criteria not be tagged for deletion immediately after they are created. It's usually best to wait at least 10–15 minutes for more content to be added if the page is very short, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Tagging such pages in a very short space of time may drive away well-meaning contributors, which is not good for Wikipedia. Attack pages (G10), blatant nonsense (G1), copyright violations (G12) and pure vandalism/blatant hoaxes (G3) should of course still be tagged and deleted immediately. Thanks. 331dot (talk) 11:13, 6 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

WP:INDICSCRIPT edit

Hi there, a quick note re: this edit. Community preference is that Indic script not appear in the lead. See WP:INDICSCRIPT. It's fine to add it to the infobox as you did with {{Infobox name module}}, provided that the film is marketed using the native language. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 07:27, 8 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2017 election voter message edit

Hello, Nishant Kharel. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
