I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Maziyke. Thanks! Eagleash (talk) 22:46, 15 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the reply, Be well aware that we have dozens of newspaper cut outs from the 90s when digital publishing in Nigeria does not exist. I also reference a webpage where the mainstream Nigerian Newspapers then, published articles concerning the musician in question.[1]https://maziyke.com/maziyke-main-newspapers-hardcover-reports/ Newyorkgm (talk) 16:59, 16 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Aguike moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to Aguike. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it is promotional and reads like an advertisement and you may have a possible Conflict of Interest. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Clearfrienda 💬 02:42, 7 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

In this revised version, objective language is used to present information about Aguike. The text emphasizes providing factual details about his career, influences, achievements, and personal life. Aguike is a Nigerian musician who has gained significant recognition since the 80s. During the mid-90s, when the print media in Nigeria lacked internet access, Aguike made headlines and his organization has preserved numerous news clippings as evidence. Newyorkgm (talk) 12:58, 7 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
I believe your article is notable but it is written without a neutral point of view. Phrases like "his classics from that era continue to be appreciated," read like a promotional piece. Also, do you have a conflict of interest with the subject? If so, you have to disclose it. Once you believe you've removed the promotional language, you can submit the draft to articles for creation to get it reviewed again. Happy editing, Clearfrienda 💬 00:36, 8 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:Bouncia.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Bouncia.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Aguike

edit

Please stop removing the orphan tag from Aguike. The article is an orphan; it's not subjective. Consider finding some articles to link to it. C F A 💬 18:17, 19 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Could you please provide more details? I have encountered numerous individuals claiming to be associated with Wiki who have attempted to extort money from my organization. I am aware that the article could be improved, but I am curious as to why you are the only one recently stating that my article is "an Orphan page." Newyorkgm (talk) 07:04, 20 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
The article is an orphan — an article with no links from other pages. This is not an opinion or whatever you think it is. No pages link to Aguike, so the orphan tag has been added to the article. To fix this, find some articles where you can add links pointing to Aguike. C F A 💬 00:29, 25 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at User:DESiegel/Template the regulars, you may be blocked from editing. --Picard's Facepalm Made It So Engage! 13:15, 20 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Picard's Facepalm. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the main body of Aguike. Generally, any relevant external links should be listed in an "External links" section at the end of the article and meet the external links guidelines. Links within the body of an article should be internal wikilinks. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --Picard's Facepalm Made It So Engage! 13:19, 20 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

You can label it as 'disruptive' or use any other term you prefer, but there are editors on this Wikipedia platform who are unscrupulous individuals. Whenever they leave a comment and someone re-edits, they go back and delete the links while bombarding my email inbox with messages offering their assistance. When they fail to extort money from my organization, it seems they will stop at nothing until they achieve their malicious objective. I have evidence to demonstrate that most of the editors here are corrupt. Just 24 hours ago, I personally added all the necessary links, but a few hours later, another editor removed them and labeled the article as an orphan page. Below are some examples of the emails I receive from certain editors who disrupt this article with excessive zeal and corruption, resulting in unnecessary editing on my part. I am exhausted by this situation and may be compelled to make it public.

I am not involved in any emails you may be receiving from 3rd parties who are offering WP editing services to you. The best thing you can do with regards to those is ignore them. Additionally - "editing for pay" is in violation of WP policies and guidelines (see WP:COI). What I did initially message you about was your seemingly random edit of a standing essay article on WP WP:TR. Your edits were not related in any fashion to that article, and were discussionary in nature. Within WP articles themselves is not the correct location to have a discussion - even if it were on-topic for that article. You need to use talk pages for that effort - however, the information you posted to the article was not on-topic even for the talk page of that article. In either case - it still would have been removed. These types of edits must not continue. --Picard's Facepalm Made It So Engage! 14:53, 20 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
You removed the entire external links I inserted at the end of the article. You might be re-editing this article in bad faith, pls stop!!!! Newyorkgm (talk) 14:12, 20 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Again - see WP:ELNO. Do not insert in-line links within WP article text. Most of your content was exactly that. At best - the links you added to the end of the article may qualify as citation references - but by no means qualify as self-standing external links. Please review WP:EL for more information so you may learn what kinds of external links are appropriate at the ends of articles. Thanks. --Picard's Facepalm Made It So Engage! 14:57, 20 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I had three external links from highly credible newspapers in this article, but you removed them. Those sources are relevant to the subject. I'm not sure who to trust anymore, especially when some editors on this platform consistently edit this article, causing problems and adding tags with instructions not to remove them. I have emails to prove how many times I've been asked to pay for those tags to be removed. I don't have time for back and forth. It's evident that there are individuals who are making this once influential medium less credible. Newyorkgm (talk) 15:36, 20 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
If the sources you added are for reference & citing purposes then please see WP:CITE regarding how to appropriately add them to the article. If someone is offering to edit the page for you, it would be presume it would be to improve the quality of the article and to meet the criteria being tagged. Currently the article doesn't meet that criteria and is therefor tagged as orphaned. If another party edits the article - or if you do - and it improves the quality of the article and relieves it of it's orphaned status - then the tag will be removed. While a 3rd party - or any WP editor - can do this, it is still a violation of WP:COI to do so for money - so I would probably refrain from doing so. Right now the only reason why the article is less than credible is because of it's orphaned state. Once that is corrected - it will certainly be credible again. If outside parties are charging others with an apparent vested interest in certain articles to improve those articles - that is an individual morality issue that they need to deal with, and has nothing to do with the WP medium as a whole. --Picard's Facepalm Made It So Engage! 18:26, 20 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
As an aside - the addition of maintenance templates is also not a bad thing. Tagging articles as such gets them added to review categories and there are editors on the project who focus almost solely on article improvements of certain types - including orphaned articles. Having this tag very likely means it will get someone's attention and they will put forth further research to improve the quality and linkability of the article. In short - this is a good thing. Let it evolve :) --Picard's Facepalm Made It So Engage! 18:33, 20 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please stop. If you continue to remove maintenance templates without resolving the problem that the template refers to, as you did at Aguike, you may be blocked from editing. You have received multiple warnings about not removing the maintenance tags from articles until/unless that situation is resolved. You need to immediately stop this conduct. --Picard's Facepalm Made It So Engage! 15:03, 20 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Your threat to block me holds no significance. I do not benefit from this platform; on the contrary, I have made numerous donations. People like you are the cause of Wikipedia losing its credibility as a reference point. You labeled the article as lacking links, you proceeded to delete three recently added external references. This is incredibly frustrating; I have more important matters to attend to. Wishing you a pleasant day. Newyorkgm (talk) 13:38, 21 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I didn't threaten to block you, and I have no ability to do so. Actually - people who do not properly cite references are the cause of credibility loss... that just so happens to be the three external links you provided. Again - see WP:CITE. The article lacking links resulting in the orphan maintenance tag is another issue altogether. If you would read both WP:CITE and WP:ORPHAN to understand the differences and the issues, as well as how to resolve them - it would go much further for your efforts to improve the article. I can assure you that it is far more frustrating for us to see people flatly refuse to read the policies and standards WP has in place to ensure credibility and uniformity - while making the same errors again and again in contrast with those policies and standards - to then only complain about things like credibility and uniformity. We cannot help you if you refuse to help yourself. --Picard's Facepalm Made It So Engage! 15:27, 21 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
