Speedy deletion nomination of Draft: Franklin Obeng-Odoom

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft: Franklin Obeng-Odoom requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Managing a conflict of interest

edit

Hello, Naqqash6. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Franklin Obeng-Odoom, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. S0091 (talk) 20:23, 22 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

It is clear you have an affiliation with Franklin Obeng-Odoom so you need to cease editing the article and certainly removing any of the maintenance tags or you may be blocked. S0091 (talk) 20:30, 22 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
I donot have any affiliation with Obeng-Odoom, i have solve issues in article kindly remove maintenance tags or kindly guide me what more can i do to remove those maintenance templates thanks Naqqash6 (talk) 11:47, 23 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
According to you, the photo is your work which means you know him unless that is not true. If is not your work, then it is a copyright violation so needs to be deleted. Please clarify. S0091 (talk) 16:29, 23 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
I do not know him personally I ask him to use his photo through email and gave me permission for that. Naqqash6 (talk) 17:04, 23 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Ok, so it is not your work. In order for the image to be used on Wikipedia, the copyright holder has to release it under a compatible license, which is Veikko Somerpuro not Obeng-Odoom. An editor on Commons (different project than the English Wikipedia) has requested it be deleted so you will need to handle it there. Also, just make sure we have everything under the COI guideline covered, are you being paid or work for a firm that is being paid to create the article? S0091 (talk) 18:31, 24 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
ok thanks, no i am not being paid. Naqqash6 (talk) 18:58, 24 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks Naqqash6. In the future please be mindful of copyrights. Do not copy other people's work and claim it is your own. Thus far, you have had a couple copyright violations with text and images, which can have legal repercussions for both you and Wikipedia. S0091 (talk) 19:05, 24 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Tammy Tran

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Tammy Tran requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". License tagging for File:Minh-Tam Tran Lawyer.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Minh-Tam Tran Lawyer.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:30, 29 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello Naqqash6. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Tammy Tran, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Naqqash6. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Naqqash6|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 18:28, 29 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I am not get paid anything, i am new at wikipedia and learning... Naqqash6 (talk) 19:34, 29 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
You created two articles and have uploaded photos about those subjects both of which you state the subjects have emailed the photos to you. One you stated you were the the owner which was not true. That means you know them in some way. One might be understandable but not two. Also, unless they are the photographer or are the copyright holder they cannot give you or anyone else permission to use it. S0091 (talk) 19:47, 29 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
when i was writing article on them i find there email, i dont know about licence so i thought it is the best way to get permission from them through email that why i emailed them and ask for their permission to use picture in their article and they replied with permission. Naqqash6 (talk) 20:05, 29 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
kindly guide and advice me, how can i get permission from them so i could upload their picture.
thanks Naqqash6 (talk) 20:07, 29 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
The last thing you need to worry about are photos. If you do not know about copyright then you shouldn't be uploading images. Period. The most crucial is ensuring the subject about which you are writing meets the relevant notability guidelines. Otherwise you are wasting your time and that of other editors.
