Billy Talent

Hi there!

Band names are never italicized. Names of albums are, as are books, periodicals, films, and television series; individual songs are not italicized, but are enclosed in visible quotation marks ("O Canada")... unless possibly certain cases they're being discussed as a single. I'm not clear on that! I am clear on the foregoing.

Also, headings should not be capitalized except for the first word, and proper nouns; see Wikipedia:Manual of Style (headings)#Capitalisation.

Portuguese Liga

Hi there! I've moved the article BWINLIGA 2006-07 (that you had previously moved from 2006-07 in Portuguese football) to Portuguese Liga 2006-07. You said it would not be wise to have an article with all Portuguese football described by season. I disagree with you. If you see we have 2006-07 in English football, 2006-07 in Scottish football and 2006-07 in Italian football. That doesn't make it impossible to have Premier League 2006-07, Scottish Premier League 2006-07 and Serie A 2006-07. Please not that their respective titles are not Barclays Premier League, Bank of Scotland Scottish Premierleague or Serie A TIM. I'll wait until you answer and then I'll revert the changes and make two separate articles: 2006-07 in Portuguese football (including the Portuguese Liga/BWINLIGA, the Liga de Honra/Liga Vitalis, and minor notes on the Second and Third Divisions, plus the Cup, the SuperCup, the national team, and if possible women's and youth competitions) and Portuguese Liga 2006-07 (exclusively dedicated to the Liga). hi there. sorry if i was bothering you while you were editing the page. but don't take the tags too seriously. I'm sure you know that you can remove the tags by youself. if you don't really like the tags then remove it. it's not there to "grade" the article. it's there so that other editors can help with the "imperfections" that the article has. there are editors that go through the uncategorized pages category and look to categorize articles. I myself, do that on occasion. likewise, editors go through the category of pages that provide insufficient context and try to improve articles that are in that category. without those tags, these editors will not find a link to the articles. that'd the point of the tags; to try to get other editores to help with the article. all the best, --brewcrewer (yada, yada) 13:16, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

I don't know if you are aware, but there is a group of users going around changing all the US and Canada soccer articles formatting from WDL to WLT. Also, when matches are listed uses the footballbox they are changing from Home team first to Home team last. Thought I would let you know if this is something that you would care about. There is a rather long discussion on the MLS 2008 discussion page. They reached a 'consensus' after only a week and 20 votes. I personally think that Canada and US articles should be written the same as every other soccer article on wiki.NeilCanada (talk) 23:07, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

Hey, I appreciate you having your opinion but 2 things: 1) bring changes like the one you proposed for the Golden Boot up at the talk page before unilaterally changing it. I know you should be bold and whatnot, but chances are things that have been going on for more than 2 months on a well updated article aren't the way they are by accident. 2) if you're going to be upset about the consensus reached on a particular issue, the very least you could do is read the whole discussion to understand why the consensus was reached in the first place. I appreciate your desire to improve the encyclopedia, but there is a process we follow on WP and the heart of that are the courtesies I just described.
