Hunger Strike Medal edit

@MsJoat thank for your edits on this article it looks and reads much better, hopefully more research will find evidence of more recipients, although not all who were imprisoned for suffragette activism were hunger strikers or medal recipients.

Thankyou

Hi there, MsJoat, and welcome to Women in Red. Thanks for all the work you've been doing on Scottish suffrage and for your article on the Suffragette penny. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 09:55, 1 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for July 2 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Timeline of cricket on UK television, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Terrestrial television in the United Kingdom. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Women in Red 8th Anniversary edit

  Women in Red 8th Anniversary
In July 2015 around 15.5% of the English Wikipedia's biographies were about women. As of July 2023, 19.61% of the English Wikipedia's biographies are about women. That's a lot of biographies created in the effort to close the gender gap. Happy 8th Anniversary! Join us for some virtual cake and add comments or memories and please keep on editing to close the gap!

List of women's cricket grounds edit

Hi. Thanks for making some improvements to the lists of women's cricket grounds. I maintain these and had been meaning to add some of the details that you have made. I hope you don't mind me making a few changes today. Ideally I think we would count multiple grounds at one venue as separate entries, as per Cricinfo; they are after all separate grounds that happen to be at the same venue, but my feelings are not strong on this point! Bs1jac (talk) 18:29, 14 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

I've enjoyed tinkering with them and hopefully some of the formatting changes should make them easier to maintain.
My feelings about combining multiple grounds at one venue is that it avoids giving the impression that there are more venues in a particular place than there actually are. Keeping them seperate made sense when the source was the list of grounds but, now there's individual citations for each and so long as the notation is clear, combining them feels neater to me. But if others decide to separate them out again, the {{Static row numbers}} should make it a less arduous process. MsJoat (talk) 18:49, 14 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Women's cricket edit

@Baffle gab1978 Thank you so much. I've had a quick look at what you've done so far and it's pretty much what I was hoping for. My only note is that I want to avoid over using the phrase "women's cricket" and just use the term "cricket" unless it's specifically comparing it to men's cricket. 86.131.173.236 (talk) 00:06, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
No problem; I note and understand your preference, though it's sometimes necessary to distinguish women's cricket and women cricketers from their male counterparts. Readers may stumble across the article unbidden, and there's also likely still a significant demographic that regards men's cricket as the default. Cheers, Baffle☿gab 02:24, 15 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi again MsJoat, i've now finished the c/e. Some citations are missing from the section "International cricket" so I've marked them with [citation needed] tags. Some of the images were set inappropriately large so I've reset their params; and I substed over the subsection "International cricket" --> "Tournaments" --> "Cricket World Cup", which was transcluded from List of Women's Cricket World Cup records#World Cup Summary, and I've noted this in the edit summary and on both talk pages. I hope that's useful. Cheers, Baffle☿gab 02:12, 16 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

WT20I Records edit

Hi there, I can see you have changed the records page of Women's T20I. There are certain improvements you did which are good. But changing the overall layout is making it more tough to update regularly. The sections were kept separate so that it is easier to read and update as the records keep changing. You should have had a discussion before entirely changing things. User talk:mitratanmoy 10:12, 19 September 2023 (IST)

Thanks so much for all the amazing work you're doing to edit this suffrage material. I checked the Fitzwilliam's webiste for the image of their coin, but its only licensed there under CC-BY-NC-ND - Commons needs licenses of CC-0, CC-BY and CC-BY-SA.
