Help with Cesar Cruz notability?

Hi, I noticed you're still contributing to WP:US50 with an entry right after my latest, Cesar Cruz. I'm a little worried about notability and thought you might have some pointers. I've done my best looking on the Internet and on HighBeam. Maybe you could suggest something else to look for? His name shows up on CNN archives but it's a rather common name, and I'm not 100% sure it's the same person, and it's kind of in-passing mention anyway (though would add to interest for the bio if he did indeed go from gangs to installing solar panels to a Harvard Ph.D.). Thanks very much, I see you found some good items. One thing is I'd like to neutrally discuss the arrest for the Bay Bridge occupation on May 1, 1992 referenced by Johnson (2011) and exact date established by SF Chronicle. If there were any contemporary sources that would be good. Hi Sue. Thanks first of all for the excellent work you have been doing on the Fashion redlink list. It seems to be coming on very well. I'm not too sure what we should do with Noswall59's honours list. Perhaps we could just reduce it to redlinks without specific links as all those with the most notable honours should be relatively easy to find. Looking at the current edit history and the history of the page's protection, I'm not convinced that removing page protection right now is a good idea. The current page lock only goes back to 2016, though there have been other page protections going back to 2010. What looks like a minor edit war is already occurring with editors and opening page protection may exacerbate the problem. If you disagree, you may list your request to unlock the page protections here since you said the other admin (Elockid) isn't responding to requests. Elina Berglund Schwewitz

Hi Sue. I don't know whether you followed the editathon at the Swedish Embassy in Washington on 8 December. It was interesting in view of the strong emphasis on women and support for Women in Red. One of the women on their Suggested Work List is Elina Berglund Scherwitzl who is notable in particular for developing an app as an alternative to the contraceptive pill but she was also involved in the Higgs boson nuclear project at CERN. I was going to write an article on her but then discovered someone had recently created Elina Berglund and it had been deleted. I can only imagine it was inadequately sourced as Berglund has been widely covered in both the Swedish and the international press, as has her company Natural Cycles on which an article was written a couple of days ago. But I still think Berglund deserves an article in her own right. See for example [2], [3], [4], etc., etc. I wonder if you could have a look at the deleted article and the reason it was deleted. The wedding was lovely, seeing family was wonderful, freezing is not good. Who knew Florida was so cold? Ufff, I did not have sufficient clothing to ward off the cold. AfD Hattie Harlow

Hi Susan! I came across this AfD and wondered if you could check to see if there are any RS on her. From a time period where were sources can be difficult to find. It sounds like her work is maintained somewhere but I am not sure where or if it is on exhibit. From Google, I found she is mentioned in two books. She seems to have made an impression in her field of work. I added the refs that I saw. I am now thinking the source I added [5] is about a different Hattie Harlow. @Thsmi002: Harriet A. Harlow was born in 1845-1846 in Bridgewater, Massachusetts to Sophia (née Howard)[6] and Nathaniel B. Harlow.[7][8]. Her father died of typhoid fever when she was seven years old[9] and she was raised by her mother with her younger sister Ella. My guess is they mistook Harriet for Harry, i.e. Henry in 1855, 1860, 1865, 1870, 1880, 1900, 1910, 1920. My guess is she died before the 1930 census, but no idea. Here's the piece from Harvard. Her papers are kept in Radcliffe's Schlesinger Library (and the notes from your source above confirm that the phrenologist is the same Hattie (Griffith, p 263).[10]. The other Harriet A. "Hattie" was much younger and was a nurse who went abroad during WWI. There are numerous other Hattie Harlow's in the Boston area at this time, but they can be easily discounted as the same woman, as she had no brothers and never married. Her father is possibly the Nathaniel who was excommunicated from the Congregationalist church around the time of her birth for holding abolitionist views. But there is nothing definite to confirm which Nathaniel. [11] Her notability lies in her record keeping, but as it does not appear that a full evaluation of her life has been done, it will be questionable whether consensus will weigh for or against an article. I find no other sources about her, and while the census records flesh out her biography, they add no weight for notability. SusunW (talk) 16:26, 21 December 2017 (UTC)

The Times (Gale) lookup?

I have a cite to something in The Times of 19 September 1960 that quotes Franco Zeffirelli regarding Romeo and Juliet. "twin themes of love and the total breakdown of understanding between two generations". This could be an interview with Zeffirelli, or a review of the movie, or something else entirely. I'm missing title, author, page number, and any DOI, URL, HDL, etc. that might exist for an archived copy. The post-1920 Times archives are only available on Gale, as best I can tell, so if you should be so inclined at some point, I would really appreciate any details you might be able to dig up. Thank you so much for looking into this, Megalibrarygirl! The cite in question is to The Times, not The New York Times, and I'd really hoped to be able to support the direct quote from Zeffirelli. The alternative is some awkward rewriting of the paragraph, and it's a featured article, so I'd rather not mess with the prose if not absolutely necessary. The Times archives are handled by Gale/Cengage, and it's what they're advertising here. The actual access is, I believe, through the Gale NewsVault. I believe the TWL access interface is called Infotrac Newsstand, which should be part of the TWL Gale access.

In any case, email would be fine and I very much appreciate anything you've been able to dig up; and if you have access and opportunity to dig up the originally cited source for that quote that would be even better (but no sweat if not: it can be worked around, I just prefer not to.
