Thank you for your recent contributions. Getting started creating new articles on Wikipedia can be tricky, and you might like to try creating a draft of your article in draftspace or in your userspace first, which you can then ask for feedback on if necessary, with less risk of deletion. Do make sure you also read help available to you, including Your First Article and the Tutorial. You might also like to try the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version. Thank you. Act345 (talk) 17:21, 12 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

The article Sultana Yeasmin Laila has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

To delete a draft

edit

I was created this draft to add information of a popular folk singer of Bangladesh named Sultana Yeasmin Laila who is a winner of a popular reality show named closeup1. So I wanted to publish the article via draft validation. but it is a matter of sorrow that (202.125.65.146) user have deleted this content and removed from submission. As a volunteer we need inspiration, hope none of expected such kind of behavior. There is no benefit to me and this person is not related to me. I had done this job as a voluntary work. For this why I have created and publish it again to make wikipedia more informative about her. This job has done before declined the request by another honorable wikipidian User:Ronhjones made by the (202.125.65.146) user. So in this circumstances, I requested to remove this unnecessary draft Draft:Sultana Yeasmin Laila by deleting permanently. Thanks in advance.

  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.

I asking this mostly for your use of this image [1] of Sultana Yeasmin Laila, which you claim as your own work. If this is your own work, it would imply some sort of connection between yourself and the singer.--SamHolt6 (talk) 16:24, 21 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Cordial thanks to you.

@Winged Blades of Godric:, :@Fitindia:,  :@SamHolt6:,

I am so sorry for late response to talk. When I have seen the voting situation in the deletion page I have not made any speech on behalf of my content. But when people described me as a Paid contributor, then something need to share. As a new contributor, after Creating the draft I was submitted it to AFC for publishing via reviewed. But an unknown user removed it and delete from submission. I have tried to clarify my mission and vision relates to this personality in the article deletion talk page but marked as Collapsing discussion about editor integrity, unrelated to the AfD. As a Bangladeshi I am contributing at Bengali Wikipedia too. This person is a popular singer of my country but that is not the main fact, people can know via wikipedia about the others winner of the same reality show named CloseUp1 but I thought as a winner of same contest she also deserve it and people also learn about her via wikipedia. I have said many times this singer lives in my country and I have no sort of connection with her without taking a snap of picture. Bengali Wikipedia can realize it easily but they could have been identify me as paid-contributor, affiliated writer and spammer etc. I am saying here honestly that I have taken her picture to sure about her personal information too, nothing else and there is no financial or any sort of connection that can go against the content policy of wikipedia. My voice will be heard like a partial person, Advertiser, Promoter, Advocacy etc. it is a great matter of sorrow that the article has deleted by proving the failure of the WP:NMUSIC ,although it support the rule #9 of WP:MUSICBIO , and where other winners of the same contest can be notable WP:NMUSIC , but she can't  ! If this is for creating by me and for the confusion about my contribution which relates to WP:PAID, ( although I have clarify myself) then nothing to say without sharing that it may conflicted the content policy of Wikipedia, it can be hampered the neutralism about a content conflicted with the Neutral point of view (WP:NPOV). I have said too many times that this person is not relates to me and I have added several faithful reference with the article and finally this article I have not created as a fan of this related person. Finally sorry for pinging you. Hope there will be no misunderstanding with us, want to stay with you, stay with wikipedia. Finally sorry for emotional involvement. Thanks and regards. Md. Ways to improve Dunedin Tailoresses’ Union

edit

Hi, I'm Rosguill. Md. Giashuddin Chowdhury, thanks for creating Dunedin Tailoresses’ Union!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. The article could use expansion, preferably using content from secondary sources. You may want to get in touch with relevant wikiprojects at WikiProject Organized Labor and WikiProject Women's History.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Short descriptions

edit

Thank you for adding Short descriptions to articles. However, many of these descriptions have been much too long – the current guidelines at WP:SDSHORT advise a limit of around 40 characters. Please read the full guidelines at WP:SDCONTENTGhostInTheMachine talk to me 22:38, 14 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

@GhostInTheMachine Noted with thanks. Basically there is misunderstanding in me about spamming, I have tried to follow the editors character limit. In future work I will follow your above mentioned guidance. Until then request to dear all, who are here about the same issue, please revert the edit which I have done. Finally thanks for notifying me. Regards-Md. Giashuddin Chowdhury (talk) 08:08, 15 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
It will be helpful to me, if you let me know your observation after reviewing immediate last 3 added description. Thanks Md. Giashuddin Chowdhury (talk) 08:24, 15 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
One of the interesting and challenging aspects of short descriptions is making sure that they are short, while useful. 40 characters is not a solid limit, but 70 is still too long. For example:
  • Torpex Games Game development studio located in Bellevue, Washington, United States (70 characters) – "located" is nearly always redundant. "United States" can be abbreviated to US (not USA). "Bellevue" is too much detail – country and state is enough. So Game development studio in Washington, US (41 characters) is only one character over.
  • VP Awards Recognized award for the optical and eyewear industry (53 characters) – arguably, all awards are "Recognized", by somebody anyway. Is the award international? Annual? Hard to tell as the article is rather poor, but I went for Optical and eyewear industry award in India (43 characters) which is true as far as possible. While in the article, I also tried to clean it up a little.
  • ING New England Golf Classic Annual golf tournament for professional women golfers on the Futures Tour (73 characters) – no need for "Futures Tour", tournaments are always on some tour. Annual tournament for women golfers (35 characters) is probably enough, the article itself is unclear if the tournament is international or limited to America or even just New England. The article also does not say if the tournament is still running, so having "annual" in the SD is probably suspect. It does include the sport, which is so often missing - quite often from the article itself.
Having trouble with the SD is often a sign that the article itself needs work. A good article often gives you a possible SD as part of the lead sentence. Another clue is sometimes in the categories, so Torpex could probably have had a SD of American video game company (27 characters)

Short descriptions

edit

Hi Md. Giashuddin Chowdhury, I noticed that you have been working on adding short descriptions to articles. Unfortunately, almost all of your additions are not in line with the recommendations on short descriptions and need to be rewritten. Many of your short descriptions are too long; WP:SDLENGTH recommends that short descriptions should be less than 40 characters, while many of your additions are over 100 characters long. Your short descriptions also violate many other recommendations in WP:SDAVOID and WP:SDFORMAT. Please carefully read and understand the Wikipedia:Short description page before adding any more short descriptions. Thank you. Liu1126 (talk) 22:41, 14 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
