Dear Missvain,
Thank you for your comments. I will gather secondary sources to further prove the subject's notability, as you can see from the former reviewer comments, however, earlier reviewers were convinced of his notability (see comment from DGG, April 4th, 2022). Nevertheless I will further improve the article and resubmit in the coming days. All the best, Michael Mastadblg (talk) 08:42, 17 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello Mastadblg -- I happened across this draft and, though not in my area of expertise, thought the subject was likely to meet WP:PROF; David Eppstein agreed and has edited and promoted the draft. I fear you've been given some unhelpful advice: adding references to the subject's papers is not usually useful; what is necessary is material written about the subject's work. For academics, this is usually takes the form of review articles, reviews of their authored books, festschrifts, award citations and obituaries, although news coverage in specialist press or even newspapers can sometimes be found. Once you've established notability, it is acceptable to source basic biographical material (education, career profile) from their university profile or CV. All you can write based on the subject's own papers is that they have researched/published in a particular field.

If you have any other ideas for biographies of mathematicians or scientists, first, check whether they meet either WP:PROF, usually by having a strong citation profile, or WP:AUTHOR, usually with multiple books with reviews, and then I'd suggest creating the article in your own userspace (you have a link to a personal sandbox next to your talk page) and moving it to mainspace yourself when you feel you've sourced it adequately. You can show high citations by listing the subject's highest-cited research papers and giving the Google Scholar or Scopus citation count. I hope this is helpful, feel free to ask me on my talk page for general advice. Regards, Espresso Addict (talk) 19:21, 25 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much for your help, I have now added some secondary sources which will help with the notoriety aspect and also to demonstrate the impact of some of his more popular work. The next step will be to get a picture on there, which I had in an early version but was forced to delete for reasons I did not quite understand. Thanks again!
