I would advise you to just go back to the old user account. It's a much shorter and easier to remember user name and you'll have all of the feautures and customizations. Dear Dr.Bruno, I have removed the paragraph from Jayalalitha's page as it contained many defamatory languages and it quotes many citations from Gossips. I updated in talk page of Jayalalitha quoting relevant Wikipedia policy on living persons. She is the political leader, criticisms against her should be related to her political actions or political life and not about her personal life. I have edited such defamatory words mentioned in many Indian actresses pages also. This paragraph has been removed many times and they add it again and again. Thanks for your edit in my page. Thanks Ravikumar I give below points to justify my edit in article about Jayalalitha 1) It quotes articles written by some foreign writers regarding defamatory statements which cannot be considered reliable. Moreover any edits regarding dating,wrong relationship,illegal relationship etc to be considered gossips unless it is confirmed by concerned person. If we allow this then all articles regarding political leaders/Notable figures will be flooded with Junk compalaints regarding their personal life. If we allow this some BJP people will write bad about Sonia Gandhi's personal life, congress men will write bad about Sushma Swaraj personal life. 2)Words like concubine needs to be considered personal attack. 3)Words like 'she has illegal child' etc are unsourced. If we ask source,may be that guy will give citation from some gossip magazine. I have also taken up this matter with bulletin board which resolves controversial edits on living persons. One Google Hit Explained

1. Please note that Indian History is not found in the net in the same magnitude as European or American History.
2. Also most of the Indian magazines (dailies, weeklies) do not have a online version.
3. Another factor is that the vernacular (Hindi, Tamil etc) magazines use different fonts and is not searchable by Google
4. Another problem is the use of different spelling for the same name. For example, my town is referred to as Tuticorin, Thoothukudi, Thoothukkudi, தூத்துக்குடி etc. You can get the complete picture only if you search all these. Even then since most of the matter is not online, you may not even get one hit

With few exceptions, if something is notable, it does come up in Google. I have written much about obscure Poland-related topics, and rarely I couldn't point out to at least few English language pages (although I will be the first to admit there are exceptiona and Google test is not fullproof). Nonetheless the current sources and recation is rather dubious. We have one page with with evident POV ("This site is meant to serve as a platform for all MALL and SAINTHWAR RAJPUTS fighting to get back their past GLORY, DIGNITY and SELF-RESPECT. So come forward and join the battle against evils in society and contribute far the betterment of this RAJPUT COMMUNITY"[1])a terribly formatted non-encyclopedic wiki article, and what looks suspiciously like a sockpuppet vote stacking by new users/anons,; that does not fill me with much confidence. The best think would be if a user familiar with Indian language would act on my request posted on Indian noticeboard and could verify if this is indeed a notable subject or somebody's OR/hoax.-- _{Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk}  02:28, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

Please note that the Google test is totally useless for India related topics. I am very sure about this, but most of the europeans and americans are not able to understand this Then, I am very much convinced that the votes there are NOT SOCKPUPPETS, but made by persons from that community who are not able to understand the wikipedian rules I agree that it is terribly formatted, but that is not a criteria for deletion. As I said, my main reason for this AfD was to see if any Indian language editors can verify it is a notable subjet. Please note that most of the Indian books will be in Non-English and most of that will be offline. You should note that we cannot just like that go to a library and verify the books. We have our own jobs and family. Just because no Indian user could go to a library, a source cannot be ignored. Not every one is a sock puppet. Online Access is not common in India (unlike your country) and pretty costly. We pay around Rs 20 (that is the cost of 10 cups of coffee) per hour of Internet Usage. (Work out in your currency) Maintaining one account is pretty difficult. How can most people think of socks !!! (except for few teenage fanatics in cities who are rich enough to have computers and broadband access at their home). Your words few offline non-English books whose existence cannot be verified and and the poor quality of the article is just a final nail to the coffin give me an impression that your intention was not a healthy discussion, but getting the article deleted. If you really want to improve Wikipedia, give some time and hear the opinion of those who are new to wikipedia. On the other hand, if you are hell bent on removing articles regarding which you have no idea and you want to satisfy your ego that your AFD has succeeded, carry on... First, I am non-English, and some aspects of Polish history are not Googlabe, either - but usually one can at least verify the existence of the phenomena, if not details. While India's alphabet may make it more difficult, I'd have thought the sheer mass of India's would compensate for that. And indeed: Poland: 23.35 (internet users per 100) * 40 (millions) = 934; India: 3.24 (per 100) * 1,100 (millions) = 3564. Source for stats: [2]. Thus India has more Internet users than Poland (thus it should have more Wikipedians, too). Indian language can be further discounted as a factor affecting this analysis, as no Indian-language website has been presented to support it (and don't tell me Indian wikipedians are to busy to use google...). Thus even for an meta:inclusionist like me this looks like a suspicious, unnotable topic. First I would like to thank you for your sincere reply to my (?? arrogant) message. I am sorry if that had hurt. I would like to point out a lot of your assumptions are wrong

1. Thus India has more Internet users than Poland. May be. thus it should have more Wikipedians, too Need not be. Most of the Indian Wikipedians live out side India. Compare http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Indian_Wikipedians and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Resident_Indian_Wikipedians and you will know the difference. Most of the internet connection that were counted are the ones given to Call Centres and Software industries. Net penetration in India is pretty poor. Please see http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Complete_list_of_language_Wikipedias_available Polish Wikipedia has 307391 articles. Hindi Wikipedia has 3039 articles. I am sure that you understand that your logic is not valid
2. Indian language can be further discounted as a factor affecting this analysis, as no Indian-language website has been presented to support it (and don't tell me Indian wikipedians are to busy to use google...). You are again missing the boat. Indian Wikipedians can point out a site only when that exists. Unfortunately web sites for organisation etc are not common (as of today) in India. Do you know that of the 100+ medical colleges only 10 have websites. Many government departments don't have web sites. It does not mean that they don't exist. My argument is that you should not tell that some thing does not exist in India just because it is not found in Google. Please see http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Complete_list_of_language_Wikipedias_available Polish Wikipedia has 307391 articles. Hindi Wikipedia has 3039 articles. I am sure that you understand that your logic is not valid. Only when something is on net, it can be found by Google. 99% of Indian history is not online. It is also not searchable in Google Scholar. If you need to verify, you have to go to a library and then only verify. Also History books will not be there in all libraries. The nearest library I can think of finding such books in Connemera. You need to allot one full day to do that. That cannot be done immediately.
3. Verifiability would require that the anons present at least ISBNs for the books This is another example of systemic Bias You will find it hard to believe that 95 % of Indian Books don't have ISBN. Indian Books have ISBN, but 95 % of English Books published in India and 99% of Non-English Books published in India do not have ISBN. I have told that I am in no way related to those Rajputs. My concern is that Indian (as well as other regions where internet is not so popular) articles are immediately deleted when that does not turn up in Google. In many cases the editors search with the wrong spelling. In many cases the sources are not online. Certainly, Google is not 'everything'. And even English literature is not everything. Still, even if we can verify by calling them that those people exist, this does not prove either V or N of the article (in theory it can be a hoax by some Indian students, for example. I don't think it's the case, but how do we prove it is not?). Sources

I agree that we need to use books more and websites less, but I think the comment you referred to — "The only sources to support it is one website and few offline non-English books whose existence cannot be verified ..." — meant that the particular books cited could not be found. It's difficult when articles are based only on a few non-English references, because this is the English Wikipedia; editors have to be able to check that what the editor is saying is correct, and shouldn't have to go to unreasonable lengths to do so. I think the point to bear in mind is that this is the English-language Wikipedia, and therefore ideally sources have to be accessible to native English speakers, and reasonably available to people living in English-speaking countries. It's fine to make particular points using non-English sources and books that are hard to obtain, but to base an entire article on them means someone is likely to AfD it. Thanks for remembering, but I feel this won't be a good time to go for another RfA. I don't know if you have noticed, but I have re-started working on the janitorial side of Wikipedia today itself (after about a month of minimal activity). Also, I have been on a lot of Wikibreaks often, and because of other persisting chores, haven't been able to devote enough time for Wikipedia. I will again leave for another 4~5 day WikiBreak in the next week, which will be followed by another semi-break owing to my end-semester examinations. Hence, I don't expect to find the flow in my Wikipedia activities before December. Have a look at my contributions and you will understand why it would be a bad idea to go for RfA now. Its not that I have lost touch with what's going on in Wikipedia, or how things work, but just that my experience tells that people don't like RfAs where the candidate doesn't have recent record of contributions in fields he is planning about. A.R. Rahman

Hi. I noticed you keep adding that "Ilaiyaraaja was at his peak in 1992" on A.R. Rahman's article page. This may or may not be the case, but I think this information would be better placed on an article about the Tamil film industry, rather than on one artist's page. Other information such as the fact he won an Indian National Award for Roja, and has been called the "Asian Mozart" appear in other parts of the article, and thus have been removed. Thanks. Thanks for your reply. The statement has been there for a long time, wasn't added by myself, which is why I think it would be better to put a fact citation needed request next to it, (which has now been done) rather than remove it completely. Personally, I think it is a little POV but, then so is the idea that Ilaiyaraaja was at his peak in 1992 - he was making just as great music before that, and even after that. As for nicknames. If you're referring to the Asian Mozart comment - that is not a nickname - it's a description in an article. Saying someone is commonly referred to, or known/called as the Asian Mozart, is NOT the same as saying one publication described him as such - which is how it is presented on his official website. Thanks for your message. Like you, it really annoys me to see articles about people, no doubt very worthy people, whose only claim to an encyclopaedia entry is that they have done their job. Now, if the job is Prime minister, or pro footballer or CEO of a major company, OK. But too many seem to be for midele to high-ranking bureacrats and professionals. I recently took part in a AfD discussion concerning a really gifted and highly popular teacher in America and that discussion got quite heated. Glad of having been of help. Regarding Image:TvMCEmblemColourWeb.jpg, I tagged it as {{fair use reduce}}, so that other editor reduces its size to comply with our fair use criteria. As for Image:Wikiblock.jpg, the screenshot also shows the browser and taskbar from Windows, so you could also add a {{Software-screenshot}}, although it is questionable. At the time I had placed the copyvio tag on the text of Jeppiaar, it was an article and not a user page. It was only later moved to a user page by User:Kuzaar (see the edit summary here). Yes.There is one more movie acted by Rajini called Ranga.Karathe mani and Radhika acted in that movie. As for as I remember 2nd Rajini's character in Billa movie is also Ranga. I have seen that movie around 5 years back.

Regarding HKELKAR arbitration

You must have seen HKELKAR arbitration case. What is your opinion on this? I don't agree with his opinions in some articles and taking extreme positions. But he has immensely contributed to India related articles within such a short span of time.

Rajkumar Kanagasingam

Though the Rajkumar Kanagasingam was posted by me to the wikipedia originally but wrongly as a newbie (and still feel so), it was actually created by Wackymacs[3] and subsequently shaped by others [4], [5], [6], [7] and [8].

After they all have given notability for Rajkumar Kanagasingam only, I started to shape the Rajkumar Kanagasingam.

The Daily News of Sri Lanka [9] is a Sri Lanka's National Newspaper since 1918 and the widest read newspaper in Sri Lanka and overseas.

Rajkumar Kanagasingam has published articles over the years and the following articles [10], [11], [12] and [13] are available online since 2002.

Though the articles have been written by the subject Rajkumar Kanagasingam, the facts he has mentioned in those articles might have well accepted by the populace without any complaint before he published the next article over the years and might have established some credibility within the Editorial circle as well.

I wonder why those articles can't be considered as Reference for Rajkumar Kanagasingam.

The Press Release in Daily News [14] could speak for Rajkumar Kanagasingam's association with leading Sri Lankan and international personalities and adding notability for Rajkumar Kanagasingam.

The US State Department's Office of Weapons Removal and Abatements "Safe Passage" Newsletter carried a news[15] on "Night of A Thousand Dinners" which was organised jointly by Asian-German Sports Exchange Program and PDIP, A Think Tank which was founded by Rajkumar Kanagasingam.

As the PDIP's Secretary-General, his activities in the available publications (on-line) will speak for his achievements.

All of his above attempts are substantial enough for a fair testimony for his notability among Sri Lankans and gives weight of his book German Memories in Asia which is about-to-be-released.

Ezine Articles may be "Vanity Press" but the contents in most of the articles by Rajkumar Kanagasingam are falling in the lines of well-researched and well-documented articles than those of mere Search Engine Optimization (SEO) ones.

After all his Ezine Articles are linking to his Book/Author Info. Page in AGSEP[16], which is an NGO and not to his personal or affiliated sites with ulterior motives of Ad Sense and click-gimmicks. As an author he is trying his fair attempt for his book without any hidden baits.

Some of the linkings might be Link Farms as I am a newbie of mere three months, but you should consider few of the internationally prominent people I have so far created and those have been left out in the wikipedia so far, especially Dr. Gamani Corea and others.

I have spent lot of my time to keep Dominic Jeeva from deletion with rest of my creations Arumaipperumal and Pandara Vannian which are not falling into the Link Farms.

The Internet is introduced after the mid nineties and still most of the news items are not falling into the web-world. By expecting reference for testing a person's notability with on-line reference materials might be some times misleading where the particular persons' references are mostly in off-line media archives.

Internet is mostly weighing a person's prominence based on the Internet availability in English and few other languages and not in all other world or local languages.

I don't have any objections if suitable and appropriate deleting Rajkumar Kanagasingam from wikipedia, but my kind expectation is at least wikipedia should attempt to have a survey among Sri Lankans through its available means whether Rajkumar Kanagasingam is prominent enough or not among Sri Lankans.

Hi,

The above personality did a lot for a lasting solution in the island though he suffered from diabetes, Motor Neurone Disease, a degenerative disease of the nervous system, and possibly medicine-induced bile duct cancer.

Now putting his Bio "Terrorist Tag", I feel unreasonable and removing it, please take necessary action on this.
