Hello, I'm Flyer22 Frozen. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to North Dakota—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. Flyer22 Frozen (talk) 07:00, 2 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. I am new to this. So I was looking for some less visited pages to learn editing. Sandbox can embed book references and links? Legallybrown (talk) 07:26, 2 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page Bajrang Dal has an edit summary that appears to be inaccurate or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. Clearly not a typo but a major change which was in essence vandalism as it had Wikipedia stating in its own voice the view of Bajrang Dal. This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Vijayanagara Empire, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Doug Weller talk 14:56, 30 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Rice Christian, you may be blocked from editing. no reliable sources for "widely believed" Doug Weller talk 14:59, 30 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Warning: Tendentious editing at Bajrang Dal

edit

This tendentious edit with a straight-up deceitful edit summary (the edit certainly wasn't about correcting a "typo", as you stated) was very reasonably reverted. Your re-revert was pretty disruptive. Please self-revert. If you continue such tendentious editing you are likely to be sanctioned. Bishonen | tålk 19:16, 30 September 2020 (UTC).Reply

Welcome

Hello Legallybrown and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your contributions do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox (but beware that the contents of the sandbox are deleted frequently) rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a Help desk, or you can click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome!
