Creating articles in userspace

edit

All you have to do is create a page at the following link:

User:LegalFiction/James Sears

This will place the article in your "userspace", and you can make a new article about it when it's ready. S. Dean Jameson 00:15, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

THANKS!!!!! Sorry about breaching etiquette! LegalFiction (talk) 00:16, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

If I click "Save page" on that user page, will it do the same thing all over again? Should I only use "preview"? LegalFiction (talk) 00:19, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Attack page moved to user space

edit

Thanks for building Wikipedia. I'm afraid that we should not have this in user space either. Please review WP:BLP for articles about living people. Please read WP:BIO to learn more about notability requirements for articles about people. The article will need WP:Verifiable, reliable sources and need to be written in a neutral tone. I don't think the subject is going to meet notability requirements. It seems his only notability comes from the negative information. I will send the user page for discussion to see if consensus can be reached. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 00:30, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Starte thread at WP:AN/I

edit

Hello. I've listed this for discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#BLP deleted speedy moved to user page. It will probably be the quickest way to get feed back on whether to let it grow on your user page or other options. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 00:42, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Page deleted

edit

I've deleted the page pending its improvement, proper sourcing and indication of encyclopedicity. I will be happy to provide you the text to work with offline. FCYTravis (talk) 02:45, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Help

Okay, I'm putting up the page again that I tried (unsuccessfully) to create before. This is my first attempt at making a wiki page. I have tried to include the reasons for notability inside the article. And I have attempted to make the article sound as neutral as possible. I've followed the wiki pages for Chris Crocker and Tricia Walsh-Smith as examples. I hope that it's okay and I'm not violating any wiki protocols. I certainly never intended it to be an attack page, as my initial attempt must have seemed. I attempted to upload a related picture earlier, but I think that I don't know how to read the licensing stuff and it was taken down by other administrators. I would appreciate any assistance before this becomes a real page. LegalFiction (talk) 17:19, 3 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi LegalFiction. Have you looked at the article wizard? It's a useful tool that gives a step-by-step guide to creating your articles. Here are some policies that might be of interest (...well, of necessity anyway. :)).
Take a look through those links. For safety's sake, you might want to create your article in a subpage of your userpage, for example, at User:LegalFiction/Articlename (replacing ArticleName with your title). Let me know if this proves a help to you. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 17:31, 3 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I did try to use all the wiki guides to make sure everything was okay. I worked it up offline and then posted it to my userspace here User:LegalFiction/James Sears. I just wanted to see if everything looks fine before moving it to wiki space? Can anyone okay me? I don't want to get swatted again. LegalFiction (talk) 17:34, 3 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

James Sears

edit

I'm sorry, I still see no way in which he meets WP:BIO. There is nothing to offset the serious negative WP:BLP content. I will seek other opnions. You should blank the page for now. The earlier version is still accessible in the edit history. Sorry, I coud not be more helpful. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 19:47, 3 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Looks like you've got positives from PeterSymonds and Spellcast. I asked User:T-rex for an opinion. If he says OK, it should be OK. Cheers, Dlohcierekim 20:55, 3 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Contributions to Seduction Community Pages

edit

LegalFiction, you have been doing some great work on seduction community-related pages. Your edits appear informative and unbiased, and I agree with them for the most part. I only edit sporadically nowadays, but if you need my input on any seduction community articles, or AFDs, feel free to drop me a line, as I have been working on these articles off-and-on for a while. --SecondSight (talk) 06:29, 18 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Paula Yates

edit

In your recent edits to Paula Yates you amended the correct British English spellings of "travelled" and "jewellry" to the American versions. This is the Nth time these words have been changed by various editors. The spellings have been changed back, please desist from altering correct spellings in British wikipedia articles. Thank you for your cooperation 21stCenturyGreenstuff (talk) 09:30, 8 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Analeigh Tipton notability

edit

Are you actually challenging the validity of the article? Because you seem to be saying, that since Analeigh didn't come in first or second . someone else is gong to challenge it. If you don't actually think, that the article doesn't meet the criteria of notability, you shouldn't have tagged it and should remove the tag. And whether someone was in the top 2 or not isn't a criteria for notability. NIk Pace came in second but doesn't have a page because she didn't do much after top model. if anything McKey and Samantha are less notable than Analeigh. So unless you feel the Artlcle doesn't measure-Misty Willows (talk) 06:58, 23 November 2008 (UTC)Reply
