Speedy deletion nomination of Koteanjaneya

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Koteanjaneya requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Epicgenius (talk) 21:43, 1 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

I NEED HELP

I suppose you wanted to ask for help with the article that was tagged for speedy deletion. While the given deletion rationale ("non-notable person") clearly did not apply, I have deleted it because it did not give enough context to identify the subject. The fact that Epicgenius thought it was about a living person is a pretty strong indication that he couldn't identify the subject, and I didn't do much better. In fact I'm not even sure the article's different paragraphs were on he same subject. It also did not cite any reliable sources.
To change the title of a page your account must be autoconfirmed, that is, it must be at least four days old with at least ten edits. See Help:Moving a page on the technical details. Until then you can request others to move the page; see WP:RM for the place to request page moves. Huon (talk) 22:13, 1 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

gottcha how do i change the display name user:koteanjaneya to just koteanjaneya , i want it to show as koteanjaneya as a name not user

i just want to change the display name from user:koteanjaneya to koteanjaneya

User:Koteanjaneya is your user page, a place to put information relevant to you as a Wikipedia editor. Koteanjaneya would be the place for an article on that subject. If you're unhappy with your username and want your account renamed, you can ask for a username change, but user pages always are in the "User:" namespace. If you meant to create an article, not a user page, I could move the page for you, but it suffers all the problems I pointed out above and would quickly be deleted (again) if I turned it into an article. You should take a look at WP:My first article for an introduction on article writing. Huon (talk) 22:43, 1 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
Also, I'd strongly suggest you write a draft in your sandbox or via the Article Wizard instead of re-creating it in the mainspace. Provide enough context so someone who has never heard of the topic can tell what the article is about, and cite reliable sources. Then submit the draft for a review by an experienced editor, for example by adding {{subst:submit}} to the top of the draft. Huon (talk) 22:50, 1 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Koteanjaneya

Hello Koteanjaneya,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Koteanjaneya for deletion, because it's too short to identify the subject of the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Vanjagenije (talk) 22:31, 1 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello Koteanjaneya,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, Kote anjaneya, may be copied from http://www.lordhanuman.info/the-birth-of-sri-hanuman/. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 22:56, 1 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Deletion discussion about Kote anjaneya

edit

Hello, Koteanjaneya,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Kote anjaneya should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kote anjaneya .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, Vanjagenije (talk) 23:13, 1 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
