Viswasam edit

Hi Kishore Editing I have reverted your edit at Viswasam for two reasons:-

  • Per per WP:FILMPLOT, plot summaries should be between 400 and 700 words - your edit increased it from edit increased it from 809 (slightly too long) to 1043 words (much too long)
  • Also per WP:FILMPLOT "Do not include actors' names in the plot summary since it is considered redundant to the "Cast" section."

It might be worth your while reading WP:FILMPLOT before spending too much time editing film plots - Thanks - Arjayay (talk) 08:20, 23 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

I've had to do revert some of your edits at Darbar (film) - for the same reasons - Arjayay (talk) 08:29, 23 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

September 2020 edit

Hello, I'm Suneye1. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. SUN EYE 1 17:00, 29 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Kadaram Kondan. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 09:56, 19 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for October 18 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Project 75I-class submarine, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kalvari-class submarine. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

October 2021 edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Nilgiri-class frigate (2019), please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history, as well as helping prevent edit conflicts. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The Show preview button is right next to the Publish changes button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. - wolf 21:04, 20 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Added note edit

Along with the preview function, you can also use your sandbox to set-up edits. In the space of about a day, you've made 75 consecutive edits to this page (so far). That's is a significant portion of the page's history and a lot of watchlist notifications for all the editors watching this page. Instead, use preview to ensure an edit is correct before saving, and for any content you intend to make mass-changes to, just copy the existing section to your sandbox, make the changes there (with as many edits as you like), then copy that content back over to the article to replace the existing section's content. This will greatly cut down on the number of edits made to the article. Thank you - wolf 21:13, 20 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia and copyright edit

Hello Kishore Editing! Your additions to Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW-SWC) corvette have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 16:43, 30 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

January 2022 edit

Hello, Kishore Editing. I noticed that your recent edit to Invincible-class submarine added a link to an image on an external website or on your computer, or to a file name that does not exist on Wikipedia's server. For technical and policy reasons it is not possible to use images from external sources on Wikipedia. Most images you find on the internet are copyrighted and cannot be used on Wikipedia, or their use is subject to certain restrictions. If the image meets Wikipedia's image use policy, consider uploading it to Wikipedia yourself or request that someone else upload it. See the image tutorial to learn about wiki syntax used for images.   Hello, I'm TheGEICOgecko. I noticed that you recently removed content from PageName without adequately explaining why. Kishore Editing, to be clear, it seems that you had removed content to fix it. If this was your intention, please add back the content before you publish your edit. There should not be an intermediary phase where you delete a bunch of content without explanation, no matter how quick you add it back in. TheGEICOgecko (talk) 04:30, 14 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Edit on P17A edit

Hi. Hope you are doing good. First, I am sorry I didn't mention the reason, I intended to but somehow I pressed the enter before I noticed that no reason was mentioned. I edited the part because it was plain and simple bunkum.

1. P17a does house internal bay for RHIB, the user you quote did mention in some other tweet. Moreover, you can't use any tom dick and harry views on Wikipedia. The source has to be WP:RS complaint.

2. Shivalik class has VLS Barak-1. Not sure why you are quoting random stuff.

3. P17 and 17A are not related. Its just a follow-on. P17a is built around P15 design albeit a bit smaller. Also you have put random ref around the text and none of the source corroborate what you said. Shashpant (talk) 07:52, 11 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Death on the Nile edit

Please note WP:FILMPLOT recommends 400-700 words. You expanded the plot section considerably beyond that. Lifted the word count warning on "Leave the World Behind." edit

Yes, it is okay to lift the warning. Such a move could be compelling for other editors to stop interfering in making edits to the film's plot.
Thank you Silver Pavilion (talk) 05:56, 19 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
you're welcome :) TheEpicApartmentLord (talk) 00:03, 20 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
It would be prudent if you recommended any action against such an editing fest. Even after the warning I gave on 19 December, editors still continue to morph the plot's writing to satisfy their own perspectives. Something should be done to stop and discourage such action.
Thank you. Silver Pavilion (talk) 13:34, 20 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I still watch the plot editing fest daily and change if it doesn't fit the criteria for how it should be written. 1. No extending sentences via semicolons and commas. Keep it how it should be. 2. Inferencing and unneeded info should not be used, such as saying that the standoff in the film should be called a Mexican standoff. 3. No trying to make the plot writing seem forced or poetically, such as overusing transition words. And obviously, for number 4, there should be no vandalizing. I think these 4 rules should apply for writing a plot essay for a movie. TheEpicApartmentLord (talk) 21:01, 20 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
