Capitalisation of food names

edit

You are incorrect that samp is capitalised. The only words in food names that are capitalised are: (a) German foodsthat are capitalised in German, like Spaetzle, and (b) proper nouns that happen to be part of the food name, as in oysters Rockefeller. Samp is neither of these. - Julietdeltalima (talk) 20:01, 14 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

I will go fix it then. KIEV90 (talk) 20:28, 14 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Dieter Lehnhoff, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. You do not seem to have a grasp of our capitalisation style guide and I kindly ask that you acquaint yourself with it before you go further. You are creating far more errors than you are fixing.   You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Samara flag. Why are you continuing to change national varieties of English, and remove diacritics, when you have been asked not to? Neighbours, colours, honours, centres are all correct, and it is very disruptive to change articles simply to reorient the spellings to the American version. If you have any questions, please discuss at WP:TEAHOUSE. Julietdeltalima (talk) 21:00, 17 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

National varieties of English

edit

Hello. In a recent edit to the page Ivankovo massacre, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.

For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. Julietdeltalima (talk) 20:07, 14 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Duke of Buckingham's Light Infantry ("The Sky Blues"). Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Turgan Talk 18:38, 17 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

It has already been mentioned to you about unnecessarily switching English versions and spelling. Please take heed of this. American English spelling does not need to apply to non-American centric articles. Turgan Talk 18:40, 17 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Henri Désiré Landru, you may be blocked from editing. Turgan Talk 18:55, 17 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

I got a +780 on the Rajupunta rifles and I will make sure the edits are correct according to that language or dialect. Now could you please unblock my account. KIEV90 (talk) 15:31, 18 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Do you understand that those numbers aren't scores in a game? They're merely the number of bytes of information added or deleted. - Julietdeltalima (talk) 15:52, 18 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
I just read through your guidelines, and I already now know that but, thank you anyways. -KIEV90 KIEV90 (talk) 17:49, 18 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
I am sorry for my earlier message, and I am sorry for making disruptive edits. Editing Wikipedia is a hobby, and something enjoy doing. I have read through all of your editing guidelines, and I will restore documents very carefully and make sure they are correct according to that language or dialect. Now if you would you please appeal my account.

Request reason:

Decline reason:

Declining on two bases. One is that your block is over, so you should be able to edit. But reviewing it anyway, it was correctly issued, and your appeal also would likely have fell short - comparatively few articles have a "correct language or dialect". Some articles that are specifically aligned to a certain country (etc) do, but most are just set to whatever the article creator used. Nosebagbear (talk) 14:34, 20 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
