Hi, everyone

I'm new here and I'm loving the experience of participating in a living encyclopedia It's great.

Zloty edit

Hi. Please don't cut and paste articles from one name to another one. That's what the "Move this page" link is for. By cutting and pasting, you lost the edit history, which keeps track of who made what edits, and that is a violation of copyright under the GFDL license, which Wikipedia works under. Also please note that not all characters work in article titles. You'll see that the article you created caused a problem with the special character "l" in the title. That's why the article is where it is, and why the disclaimer at the top of the page. Welcome to Wikipedia.  :) RickK 09:16, May 30, 2005 (UTC)

Yes, I know it. I noticed that just after I saved the article. My bad! And then, articles can't be deleted at all, and when I was about to put the deletion template and add it to the deletion page, my pc crushed! Yesterday was not a good day Jotomicron 18:09, 30 May 2005 (UTC)Reply
Ack, I hate days like that. I can delete the redirect, if you want. RickK 21:38, May 31, 2005 (UTC)
Please! It'll be cleaner that way! thx Jotomicron 12:03, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Yule edit

Thanks but look at the date that I posted it. It WAS the correct link, they have odviousdly changed the format of that website and the link has been broken.

I knew that! But I thought you could search for it again and post the correct link now! Maybe it's been dropped from the archives, or the site doesn't really allow search, but I wasn't able to find teh correct link. SO maybe you could. Anyway, it's your decision! Thanks for answering, by the way. (Please, sign your comments. Thank you) --Jotomicron | talk 30 June 2005 20:10 (UTC)

Added *some* more?!? edit

Wow. I hope you were being humble. That is a nice addition. I was going to add about a dozen more, but you already added those and more. Thanks for your contribution! --Deathphoenix 17:37, 20 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

Hehe! Your welcome. I myself has once thought wheather such a thing like this one would be possible, but now I know it is! :). --Jotomicron | talk 17:58, 20 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

Style tip edit

Hi. Thank you for your changes to functional equation. An just a remark. Per the math style manual, variables should be italic, so k instead of k, etc. Just thought I would let you know. Cheers, Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 03:01, 27 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem with Image:Centromere.png edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Centromere.png. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Thank you. Longhair 15:41, 1 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Gameiro 19:43, 28 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Words hardest to translate edit

Hi! Just stumbled upon your page, via saudade, interesting. Being a translator myself I often find there are words that are almost impossible to translate simply (using less than three words). The first that springs to my mind is the polish kilkanaście (keel-ka-NASH-che) which means any number between eleven and nineteen, emphasizing the fact that the speaker doesn't know how much exactly. There are more, I am just to distracted to think about them. Never heard of a radiostukacz, sorry. Cheers, Ouro (blah blah) 09:13, 10 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

hi edit

Hi. I found you in categories of users who can contribute in English and Portuguese. I myself am a native speaker of English, but I'm well on my way to learning Portuguese. Just check out my user page and talk page, and join in any of the discussions. To keep updated, you can even put a watch on my user page, which will automatically watch my talk page. :-) learnportuguese (talk) 20:28, 8 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Olá! edit

Tudo bem?

Apareça por lá... Boas contribuições são sempre bem vindas! =D

A Request for Help edit

Hi there Jotomicron :), I noticed your username on Translators Available Portugguese to English. I was wondering if you could help with updating Riaz Ahmed Gohar Shahi on the Portuguese Wikipedia? Riaz Ahmed Gohar Shahi on the English Wikipedia has been majorly revamped- particularly, its being treated as a BLP now, since no one has been able to find evidence of his death. I'm sorry to say I know little Portuguese, so I'd really appreciate your help in this :), although I understand if you don't have the time. Thanks in advance! Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference edit

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 18:28, 14 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Blocked edit

{{admin!}}

Today I found out that I can't edit pages on Wikipedia on IP issues. The block information mentioned the use of an open proxy, but I believe I am not in one. I am, though, accessing Wikipedia through my faculty's proxy, which is not open. Could this be the culprit of the issue? Can it be resolved? For your reference, the IP we're talking about is 194.117.22.71.

Thanks for your help :) ~ Jotomicron 14:50, 22 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I was on Wikipedia:Translators available and notice that you were on the list for Portuguese to English translators and wondered if you could translate John VI of Portugal and/or Amélie of Leuchtenberg?
