Orphaned non-free image File:RTL Klub.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:RTL Klub.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hugahoody (talk) 21:33, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Yue Loong Feeling edit

Hello John! Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm used to it), but I believe you are resident in Taiwan. If that is the case, and if you own a reasonably decent camera, could you keep your eyes peeled for a Yue Loong Feeling? There aren't probably very many left, but a photo of one for Wikipedia would be very nice. Best regards,  ⊂| Mr.choppers |⊃  (talk) 06:16, 7 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Doppleganger accounts edit

I noticed you created, and are editing with, several accounts that you tagged as 'doppleganger' accounts. As per WP:DOPPELGANGER, these sorts of accounts are only meant to prevent impersonation and they should not be used for editing. I'm not seeing which other rationale under WP:Multiple Accounts justifies your using these other accounts. Can you please disclose any other accounts you created, and from now stick to editing under your primary (this) account? Thanks. -- œ 12:18, 27 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

I don't have any other account.--jcnJohn Chen (Talk-Contib.) RA 13:33, 28 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
For what reason are you editing with multiple accounts? -- œ 11:15, 31 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, I've gone ahead and blocked the two fake dopplegangers. WP:DOPPELGANGER says "A doppelgänger account is a second account created with a username similar to one's main account to prevent impersonation. Such accounts should not be used for editing." - and both were definitely editing for a significant amount of time. Stick to only using one account. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 14:09, 31 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Use of non-free image File:Disney Junior Logo.png on Disney Junior (Romania) edit

The non-free image File:Disney Junior Logo.png was recently restored to Disney Junior (Romania) by you after it have been removed for failure of our non-free content criteria policy, specifically item #10c which requires a "separate, specific non-free use rationale for each use of the item". The image still fails the 10c policy requirement and has been removed from the article again. Please do not restore this image to that article again without complying with the requirements of that policy. For more information on how to write an appropriate non-free use rationale, please consult Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline. If you have questions about this, please ask. Hi. When you recently edited Studio Universal, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page English (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Playhouse Disney merges edit

John123521,

At Wikipedia:Proposed mergers, you suggested merges for Playhouse Disney Channel (Asia) and Playhouse Disney (France). These merges are clearly non-controversial, and you can feel free to merge without discussion. The below instructions are for Playhouse Disney Channel (Asia) and the France one would be similar.

  1. Copy text as needed from Playhouse Disney Channel (Asia) to Disney Junior (Asia). I suggest having each page open in a browser tab. Save edits to Disney Junior (Asia)
  2. Delete all content from Playhouse Disney Channel (Asia) and replaced with #REDIRECT [[Disney Junior (Asia)]] {{R from merge}}
  3. At Talk:Playhouse Disney Channel (Asia), add {{merged-to|Disney Junior (Asia)|date}}, replacing date with the date you merged, at the top of the page
  4. At Talk:Disney Junior (Asia), add {{merged-from|Playhouse Disney Channel (Asia)|date}}, as you did above.

If these merges aren't completed in a couple weeks, I will close your request as stale. Thanks, Ego White Tray (talk) 02:35, 22 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

No one seems to understand why you want to discuss the redirect Sony Entertainment Television. signature edit

You do need to fix your signature as previously suggested. See WP:SIG#NT NE Ent 23:05, 19 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • You do not need to fix your signature as previously suggested. According to WP:SIG#NT, you may simply replace {{fontcolor|white|silver|jcn}} with {{subst:fontcolor|white|silver|jcn}}. I will say that method is discouraged, but permissible. I would be happy to try and assist you with shortening your signature in other places as I sure the reason you have not made any changes is difficulties figuring out how to do it within the 255 character limit. Just ping me with {{U|Technical 13}} if interested. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation. Technical 13 (talk) 23:30, 19 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:WHMB logo lesea.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:WHMB logo lesea.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 09:08, 24 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:MundoMaxNY.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:MundoMaxNY.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:03, 9 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

.vlaanderen listed at Redirects for discussion edit

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect .vlaanderen. Since you had some involvement with the .vlaanderen redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. —Loginnigol (talk) 22:33, 7 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
