Re: Draft:Ethan Anderson edit

Hello Jogh7 I have added projects Australia, Music, Biography, to your article. You may wish to join them, check their to-do, and meet new people with interest in these topics. ( To reply click "edit" next to this section, and add your reply at the end. ) Cheers, --Gryllida (talk, e-mail) 04:05, 10 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Sources for the draft edit

I'd suggest to find more than one source. The Apple Music link has two issues:

  • It is a passing mention. It does not say a lot about Ethan Anderson.
  • It is very closely affiliated with the article subject. To write article in encyclopedia, it is required to fin sources that are written by someone else (not by Ethan Anderson; and not by Ethan Anderson's publisher).

You will need to find sources which are reliable (they have analysis of Ethan Anderson's life or work by an expert, and are professionally reviewed), and are independent (written by a third party, to whom Ethan Anderson does not pay for their work).

Please let me know if you need any help with this. Thanks. --Gryllida (talk, e-mail) 04:08, 10 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

How to use a 'talk' page at Wikipedia edit

To reply at a talk page (like this one), click 'edit' next to any section, and write your message at the end, followed by four tildes (~) for signature. For example, in a section that looks like this

== Hi ==
Can you please help me? --Gryllida 2021 June 3rd, 12:23

You can add you reply at the end like that:

== Hi ==
Can you please help me? --Gryllida 2021 June 3rd, 12:23
:Hi Gryllida, how can I help? --~~~~

Please give it a try. Regards, -Gryllida (talk, e-mail) 04:08, 10 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Jogh7. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. GPL93 (talk) 02:54, 15 June 2021 (UTC)Reply
