{{subst:AFC submission/submit}} Dezzy McKenna Drummer TV Star and Comedian is known to most Australians as The Character "Animal" from Hey Hey Its Saturday. He drummed 12 months with Jo Jo Zep and The Falcons. Due to Jo Jo Zep’s fascination with funk and latin music Dezzy fell in love with Afro-Latin and Caribbean music and did long tours with a West African-Aussie Band called “Randy and Jah-Roots’’ supporting Toots and The Maytalls, Kia Kaha, No Fixed Address, Taj Mahal, Colored Stone and Peter Tosh. From there the saxophone star and motor-mouthed comic Wilbur Wild launched Dezzy to National TV stardom as the Character Drummer and Comedian named ‘Animal’ on the Comedy variety show “Hey Hey It’s Saturday” He quit TV and comedy to play ‘serious’ again and then drummed many years with the legendary Aussie Soul Diva Wendy Saddington.
