Speedy deletion nomination of Like a boss bro edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing inappropriate pages, such as Like a boss bro, is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Your recent edits edit

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button   or   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 13:33, 21 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

DYK nomination of Pandemonium architecture edit

Hello! Your submission of Pandemonium architecture at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and there still are some issues that may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Yoninah (talk) 22:19, 4 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Take a look at the bottom of the Template matching page. What categories does Pandemonium architecture fall in? Artificial intelligence? Pattern recognition?
BTW, I knew your note was from you, but next time, please add four tildes (~~~~) to sign and date your post. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 22:26, 4 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hi, I see you're working on the article. Please let me know on the DYK talk page when you're done. I added more links to the article for the professionals who have pages on Wikipedia. In order not to be classified as an "orphan", this page also needs to mentioned (and linked) on other pages. So far, it is only mentioned in Oliver Selfridge. I would also like to know if "Pandemonium" needs to be capitalized? Best, Yoninah (talk) 13:41, 5 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hi, I'm not going to be on my computer again till next week. Please note that the way you've formatted the box on the 4 demons into the righthand margin, it will not show up on most computer screens. Best, Yoninah (talk) 13:39, 6 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, it really looks good now. Please add a cite to the second paragraph under History, and we're ready to roll! Yoninah (talk) 21:09, 7 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Hi again, I notice you keep tweaking the article. I'm not sure why you're inserting break-spaces into it; the Wikipedia program does that automatically. Also, please add a caption under the dog. Best, Yoninah (talk) 12:30, 8 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
Our part is all done. Now the nomination will wait on the page until an administrator moves it to the queue. Sometimes someone else may comment on the article, so keep the template on your watchlist. Best, Yoninah (talk) 16:53, 8 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Wow! edit

Your first DYK scored over 5,000 hits, making it eligible for the DYK page leaders list! Congratulations! Yoninah (talk) 09:42, 11 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Featured article edit

I don't know much about the nominating process for Featured Articles, other than it's pretty rigorous and many editors poke around with the article before it's finally approved. You can read about Featuring Article nominating here. Another option is Good Article, which seems less nitpicky but is insistent on good referencing. I once nominated one of my articles for Good Article and only had to do a bit of back and forth with an editor before getting it approved. You can read about Good Article nominating here.

May I suggest, in the meantime, that you write something on your userpage so your name doesn't keep coming up as a red link? If you don't want to write personal information, you could put some userboxes on the page. (Click on my name to see examples; there are many, many userboxes out there.) Message from CaitlinJames edit

Hello Jimmie

Hi! I'm Caitlin! I can give you some help in understanding how to get work done in Wikipedia. I am an undergraduate psychology major at Davidson College. I edited Wikipedia articles last semester as part of a course called Cognitive Psychology. I worked on the article "Misinformation Effect," and I was able to nominate my article for a Did You Know. I found the assignment effective in helping me learn about the topic of the article I edited, the culture and norms of Wikipedia, and writing articles from a neutral point of view. I have learned some valuable lessons while completing my assignment and I will be glad to offer advice based on what I learned.

Jimmie,

Happy to help! Here are the steps to nominate an article for GA:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Good_article_nominations

Find the most appropriate subsection/subtopic from those listed on the right. If you are not sure which subsection is best, use "Miscellaneous".

Add the {{GAN}} template to the top of the nominated article's talk page.

Let me know if you need anything else!

Caitlin

Hmm, are you able to sign into your Wikipedia account by going directly to Wikipedia on a browser? Shouldn't be locked then. Let me know if that doesn't work, and I'll give it a try!
