Hi buddy, I am newbie in Wikipedia and having problem in uploading pictures now, can anybody help me in this? Thanks!

Hello, please see Wikipedia:Upload. I will leave the helpme tag alone, because I am not experienced with images, so that someone else can help you further. The page I have linked is a good start. Cheers, sonia♫♪ 10:45, 29 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Hi Jesslynn lee86, below are the steps:
  • Go to Wikipedia:Upload. If your picture is under free use, go to Commons:Upload instead. You don't have to create an account. Use your English Wikipedia username and password to login.
  • If you are in the Wikipedia Upload page, you will see a "What kind of image or multimedia (audio or video) file is it?" section. If you are in the Commons Upload page, you will see a "Where is the work from? (Click on the appropriate link)" section. Choose the appropriate category.
  • You'll be led to the next page to upload your file, fill out the description, choose the copyright info etc. You shouldn't be having any problems with it.
  • Once you've uploaded it successfully, put in on your page as [[File:YOURIMAGENAME.jpg]].
Hope this helps, Bejinhan talks 10:58, 29 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

April 2010 edit

This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits.
The next time you use Wikipedia for advertising, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Please stop adding spam links and spammy articles. Wikipedia must not be used for advertising. You have been warned about this several times. This is your final warning. andy (talk) 16:29, 6 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of STATISTICS Problems and Solutions edit

The article STATISTICS Problems and Solutions has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of how this might meet notability guidelines. Lacks citations to significant coverage in reliable sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. RadioFan (talk) 02:51, 7 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of STRUCTURAL ASPECTS OF PROTEIN SYNTHESIS (2nd Edition) edit

A tag has been placed on STRUCTURAL ASPECTS OF PROTEIN SYNTHESIS (2nd Edition), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 07:08, 10 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of 八方文化创作室 edit

A tag has been placed on 八方文化创作室 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

July 2010 edit

This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits.
The next time you create an inappropriate page, such as 八方文化创作室, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. You have previously been warned (and blocked) for disruptive editing - removing these warnings from your talk page doesn't hide the fact. Now you are trying to add another spam article that isn't even in English. Any further disruptive action will result in another block. andy (talk) 10:04, 30 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

世界科技出版集团 edit

This article is a Chinese translation of World Scientific. It therefore belongs at Chinese Wikipedia, not the English one. I am going to delete it shortly unless you have a very convincing argument why it should be retained—or unless another admin deletes it first. Favonian (talk) 10:25, 3 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Articles for deletion nomination of Textbook of Structural Biology edit

I have nominated Textbook of Structural Biology, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Textbook of Structural Biology. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Airplaneman 02:49, 20 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hmm... sorry for all of those standardized templates above. Please visit the deletion discussion above. I've provided two useful links in my rationale. The most important one is WP:BK. Believe me, I don't like asking for others' good and honest work to be deleted, but not everything can go on here. I've had some pages nominated for speedy deletion myself. I hope you understand. Happy editing, Airplaneman 02:57, 20 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Physics Over Easy edit

A tag has been placed on Physics Over Easy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

August 2010 edit

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Physics Over Easy. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Orphaned non-free media (File:Pysics-Over-Easy-cover.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading File:Pysics-Over-Easy-cover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 15:41, 20 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
