Barney vandal

edit

Take a look at Wikipedia:Long term abuse#Disney/Barney vandal. It's only within the last week that they have started to use the talk page or edit summaries. It's really hard to tell if they are legit edits, this is when they make edits like this. Maybe they are different people as one is Verizon Internet Services in New York and the other (Verizon again) but in Boston. I've never been able to get them to talk at all but they may be willing to start. The major problem is the lack of good sources so it's down to tv.com and a fan site called classic Barney. It could well be the IP is right but with no discussion or sources it's hard to tell. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 07:53, 22 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sometimes I feel like tagging them all for an AfD but although it's a kids show it's important. Right now I'm removing triva lists of people who didn't appear in the show and random quotes. Quotes should be something memorable that people actually quote and not things like Barney: "Hi kids", Kids: "Hi Barney". CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 22:59, 22 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

No idea.

Thanks very much for that. I'll work a bit more of that info in to my article, and of course, whatever i manage to miss out in my ham fisted style, you can always add back in later when (hopefully) the article is changed!

If you click the "create" link following the requested username, the e-mail and password will be filled in automatically. There are instructions on what to do next here: Wikipedia:Request an account/Administrators, which, despite it's name, is not only for administrators. Thanks for leaving me the welcoming message for the Birthday Committee! But, there seems to be a problem with the Calender - it shows May 12 as being a Friday (and therefore 13 May as a Saturday) but they are Saturday and Sunday (respectively) this year. I then checked the June calender and the same problem - the days are still shown as they would have been in 2006! I ask for your help as I am not very handy when it comes to making a table/fixing one!

Could you fix the table?

Thanks,

Well thanks for the clarification, but if I was confident of that, I wouldn't have used both. This has been sitting circa ten hours since he told me and David it was broke a second time. So, honor, The Right Thing, and all that makes it a bit hot. // FrankB 03:57, 13 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

CIA factbook

edit

Hi, I noticed all your edits to change the URL to the CIA factbook entries of the countries. May I suggest an other approach for maintaining these links, a bit like {{imdb name}} that links to IMDb? That would prevent having to edit all countries if the link changes again (ok, that implies editing all pages again :) -- lucasbfr talk 11:32, 15 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Abuse Bot

edit

I asked User:BlackBear to take a look. I would suggest you just drop a line to some of the people on the Abuse talk page. I found him because I saw his name several times as an investigator. Just ask several without regard to what you think their position would be. You might create a page in your sandbox with the specifics including a mock up of the instructions and what the page would look like. I'm really new myself at Abuse but I'll help if I can.
