The Mc12 article is really inaccurate edit

Thanks for trying to better the article, James, but it really was better the way it was before. Just to mention some banal mistakes: the MC12s raced in the italian gt championship in 2005 were 1 (one), RacingBOX is the team and this year (2006) they were 2 (two) - RacingBox and Scuderia Playteam. The reason why you see several entries in the classifications is that, as you might remeber, this is a GT car, hence driven by 2 or more drivers in the same race. This said, the 2004 section is also wrong: the car competed in 2 races (Dubai, Zhuhai) and won the latter. The cars weren't by Vitaphone but instead were teamed by Maserati offical personnel, under the name of AF Corse. To end this mess, the MC12Corsa doesn't use carbon-ceramic brakes but instead racing carbon brakes.

- a former Maserati engineer and actual race engineer of a winning MC12. -

I have addressed the issues on the MC12 talk page Talk:Maserati MC12 and some have already been changed. James086 Talk | Contribs|Currently up for Editor Review! 00:04, 1 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi James, the best edit counter that I know of is Essjay's edit counter. There have been a number of edit counters made, like Interiot's edit counter, but most of these (like Interiot's) no longer work. Have fun editing on wikipedia. I hope to see you around. World Oil Market Timeline articles edit

Hi James,

You've done a great job wikifying the WOMT articles. I should mention now, however that myself, User:Medleysoul, User:Mstroeck, and User:Charlie Huggard have been working on wikifying and doing a major overhaul of these articles for quite some time now and are almost finished. I was thinking that since we are almost done, if you were interested in helping us, it would save you some time. You can find our work here. If you have any questions, feel free to give a shout on my talk page. Thanks! Green451 15:25, 23 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, all you have to do is edit Charlie's sandbox, and when we're finished, we'll move the pages to their appropriate titles, e.g. World Oil Market Events of the xxxxs. Actually, there aren't too many things left to do. The only things, really, are to trim 2001 down to the relevant events and a few housekeeping things. Glad you're with us! Cut-and-paste Merging is a bad thing edit

Hi,

I appreciate that you merged the content from the Conker video game series, but cut-and-paste merges are not sufficient. To preserve the GFDL license requirements, please alert an admin, like me, so that he or she can perform a history of the two articles, which requires admin tools. Best wishes, Xoloz 15:34, 20 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your comments on my talk page about the deletion of Ferret Love Page. I'm still learning the templates and how they function and which ones are appropriate at which time. vandal posting edit

I see you have updated your main user page, but you have omitted the archived vandalism...that was really funny to read. Can you put it back? Also, you've proclaimed your sexuality - why? Do you think anyone on Wiki needs/wants to know you're gay? Why not say something more interesting about your life - like what you do at school or something. You don't see other Wikipedians annoucing their sexual preferences...I think, if anything, it only attracts criticism/vandalism. —Preceding unsigned comment added by K42 (talkcontribs)

    • hehe I see you reverted your page - I didn't realise that someone changed your words around...still it was pretty funny. Anyhoo - I still don't see why you need to highlight the issue of your sexuality - no one really gives a flying mcfuck what you do in your spare time. But please keep posting the vandalism. —Preceding unsigned comment added by K42 (talkcontribs)

First, I do try to read everyone's requests on their talk pages. Perhaps it is too late and my eyes are tired, or maybe my browser is rendering things incorrectly. Whatever the case, it's very hard to read the text at the top of this page. Second, can you enlighten me as to how use of images increases server load? I don't think I've heard that before. ... aa:talk 09:04, 3 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

You're aware the the server doesn't send each image over and over again, that it rather sends each image twice? In the case of these svg images, they take up a little bit more because they are vectorized. 97k for the "-" image. If we were to make them jpegs, they would be substantially smaller. And again, only sent once. This comment is close to a thousand bytes. ... aa:talk 09:47, 3 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I do plan to go forward with it, I just haven't taken the time to actually build the project page, I've mostly been too busy building various sportscar pages. If you want to build the page that's fine by me, but I'm likely to do it soon anyway. The359 10:22, 3 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Vitaphone edit

Since you created the entire Vitaphone Racing page, I figured you could fix it. But a suggestion: Vitaphone is merely a sponser of the racing team, similar to Red Bull Racing in F1. Therefore, Vitaphone's products don't really belong on the racing team's page. Yes, Vitaphone-racing.de lists Vitaphone's products, but Vitaphone's actual main website is Vitaphone.de. Therefore, if you want to create a webpage just for Vitaphone as a medical technology corporation (even though there is already a Vitaphone, which is about something different so you'd have to come up with another name), that'd probably be best, and leave the Vitaphone Racing team page just about racing. G'day. I am keen to learn about RC patrol and get involved. Can you let me know how I go about this? Thanks. Reziladnav

comment on RfA edit

Thanks for weighing in on my RfA. I was though a little bit puzzled what you meant by only 6 Wikitalk. Did you mean pages I got involved in or edits on a particular page? Agathoclea 13:42, 20 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

That explains it. Thank you very much. Agathoclea 14:23, 20 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:MC12 blue.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading Image:MC12 blue.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 13:08, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

re: ==What Does &nbsp ; Do?== on User talk:100110100 edit

Thanks, it did help. Is this requirement of featured status, a requirement because of the most common styles in other style houses, for example, Chigago style?100110100 06:18, 7 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Style houses are like APA, MLA, & the aforementioned, Chigago. So, is this a requirement of feature article status because of credibility?100110100 07:44, 7 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
'...Yes...'; is that an answer to my question, or 'Yes, I understand now'?:-P Thanks.100110100 06:46, 8 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

My Request for Adminship edit

Thank you for your support in my my RfA, which passed with a tally of 117/0/1. I hope that my conduct as an admin lives up to the somewhat flattering confidence the community has shown in me. You really know how to make friends saying that I should have been speedily promoted when I was 7 short of WP:100 don't you? :P Please don't hesitate to leave a message on my talk page should you need help or want to discuss something with me.--Nilfanion (talk) 22:54, 9 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: User page edit

Sounds a lot of fun :-) I patrol RC as well reverting vandalism - I now dread the 'You have new messages' banner as it usually = headache! Keep up the good work buddy. --Sagaciousuk (talk) 04:08, 10 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

User-page vandalism edit

Thanks for fixing my user page; of course the vandal (User:Marshal2.0 aka User:Marshalbannana aka User:Jacknicholson continues. An admin slapped down his sort-of sockpuppet accusation against me (and he started revert-warring WP:ANI of all pages), and after it was semi-protected and an admin closed his 'case' against me, he's been edit-warring my user page (as anon-IP). In any case, thanks. jesup 04:19, 11 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

My RFA edit

Hey, thanks so much for supporting my recent RFA. A number of editors considered that I wasn't ready for the mop yet and unfortunately the RFA did not succeed (69/26/11). There are a number of areas which I will be working on (including changing my username) in the next few months in order to allay the fears of those who opposed my election to administrator.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you sincerely for your support over the past week. I've been blown away by the level of interest taken in my RFA and appreciate the time and energy dedicated by all the editors who have contributed to it, support, oppose and neutral alike. I hope to bump into you again soon and look forward to serving you and Wikipedia in any way I can. Cheers! is no longer neccessary for the userpage to be tagged. edit

You mean it is possible to delete the sub-page suddenly without nomination & informing me?--Patchouli 06:58, 13 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

You can close the discussion & remove the tag unless you wish to wait longer.--Patchouli 07:11, 13 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
