Hi, thank you for the message. I finished my first article and am trying to publish or submit for review (or whatever happens next). I followed a YouTube video that said to Move it, which I did. But it doesn't seem like anything happened. When I use Google to search my article (search: Hurco Companies Inc. wikipedia) nothing comes up. Am I just waiting for someone to review it? Thanks. Joe JAB61 (talk) 16:47, 30 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hi,
This article is nowhere near ready to be published. Far too much of the content is unreferenced, and the sources cited do not establish notability. I can either move it back to drafts, or propose that it is deleted — which would you prefer?
The reason why it's not showing up on Google searches is because it hasn't been patrolled yet (and when it will be, it will almost certainly either be deleted or moved back to drafts, not marked as patrolled, anyway).
For future reference, you will find all the advice you need on editing Wikipedia on Wikipedia. There is no need to find a YouTube video, which probably gives you wrong advice anyway... as indeed it seems to have done here.

Hello,
Thank you very much for the reply. Please move it back to drafts so I can work to improve it. May I also ask if there is a source to help me understand specifically what needs to be referenced and what doesn't? (And why the sources cited are unsatisfactory?) Thank you kindly - JAB61
P.S. I should also say that I work for the company that the article is about. What do I need to do to disclose that? JAB61 (talk) 00:31, 1 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
I had draftify the article as it came up on my patrol per the discussion here and noted on the edit summary also. For declaration of COI, please see the below notice by DoubleGrazing and follow the instructions as per below. Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 01:14, 1 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hurco Companies Inc. moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Hurco Companies Inc., is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello, thank you for your recent review of my article "Hurco Companies Inc." I am new to Wikipedia and am doing my best to learn and understand all of the requirements. I have a question for you about WP:MILL. Many other very similar companies such as Makino, DMG Mori Seiki Co., Yamazaki Mazak Corporation, Haas Automation, Hardinge Inc, and Matsuura Machinery all have Wikipedia pages and do the same thing (make machine tools) as Hurco Corporation (and have very similar citations - or in some cases none at all). What am I doing wrong? Thank you. JAB61 (talk) 13:00, 10 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
