Welcome from the Scottish Castles Wikiproject, thanks for getting stuck in. I just gave your Luffness Castle a quick copyedit - mainly links etc. If you get time, can you clarify the sentence about Patrick Hepburn? Sir Patrick Hepburn, 1st Lord Hales died in 1483, long before the reformation. Patrick Hepburn, 3rd Earl of Bothwell however, was around at this date. Hello Horis, good to hear from you. Its not too complex: "invalid names, e.g. too many" means that there are too many separate words in the <ref> tag. To illustrate, look at the references which are working on your Couston Castle page:

<ref name=Lindsay>
<ref name=Scotgaz>

And the one that isn't:

<ref name=Historic Scotland>

The difference is, the "name" in the Historic Scotland one is two words, so it breaks. To fix, simply use <ref name=HistoricScotland>etcetc</ref>, without a space. Does that make sense? Then at the end, just type </references> or {{reflist}} to make the references show up.

The error messages link through to Help:Cite errors which explains more. Fascinating to know that William the Lion had a son called "de London" - perhaps his English captivity was not too onerous!

When you follow the link to Affleck Castle, you will end up on the Monikie page, but underneath the page title you will see in small text "(Redirected from Affleck Castle)". If you click on the link there, you won't get redirected (or, just click here: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Affleck_Castle&redirect=no). Looks OK. I've done some standard formatting cleanup to finish off an article on a listed building: I've cited the HES listing and added a picture from Wikimedia Commons. There's an entry on the building already on Wikidata created as part of a bulk creation of entries for buildings with Historic Scotland IDs, so I've linked both to it and to the Commons category. The Canmore citation went to the wrong URL and I've also corrected a formatting glitch in a few places in the article where the reference came a space after the full stop. I've also tagged the talk page. In case of people searching for Lochwood Castle (which is what HES call it) I've set up a redirect page. Hope that's all OK!
