Welcome!

edit

Hello, POEV Evaluation, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 18:29, 29 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank-you very much for this! We would be happy for you to review this article (on Scaling Impact). I had perhaps misunderstood that the article would automatically be reviewed when we submitted for review given we declared a potential conflict of interest -- but this would be a pre-review that you are suggesting? We are open to it.
We are a bit unsure of how the review process proceeds - I notice a couple of comments appeared. Are we required to address them or who decides what needs to be addressed? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
On the username - I can request a change of username using the link you have shared, thank-you!

Reviewers are experienced editors, and are the gatekeepers to paid editors creating articles. Since you are receiving comments from gatekeepers there is a strong pragmatic need to take them into account. Not doing to will hinder the putative acceptance of this draft as an article (0.99 probability)
That a thing is Creative Commons elsewhere solves copyright issues, but does not solve wording. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia. It does not care what an entity wishes to say about itself. Instead, it records what others have said about the entity in references.
Wikipedia is an amateur project. Paid editing is tolerated bit not encouraged nor assisted except by serendipity. Put plain, why should an amateur editor help a paid editor get paid for editing Wikipedia? You are being paid to learn how to write and to write. Thus you should be able to produce material that is immediately acceptable. If not then you provide the entity paying you with no vale, even negative value by virtue of not getting it right. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 18:30, 7 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thank-you! I received a rejection of submission later from a second reviewer, which made clear the next steps of editing and resubmitting. HPK at DevResearchEval (talk) 18:47, 8 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank-you. I have again tried to edit it down to cut the wordiness-- I am not sure how much simpler it can be made without losing all meaning. Presumably, someone interested in this topic and looking to learn about it on Wikipedia would already know what the linked terms mean, or would be willing to follow them and find out as needed. Are there specific terms that you find are not understandable or don't make sense in this paragraph? As for "word salad" article linked in your comment, note the definition on that page suggests it is a "symptom of a neurological or mental disorder.". I can assure you that is not what this lede is... it is written by people who know this topic very well and this is not particularly constructive (in fact, probably not very appropriate) feedback. ~~ HPK at DevResearchEval (talk) 19:50, 22 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
