Proposed deletion of Dragons versus Dinosaurs

edit

The article Dragons versus Dinosaurs has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable self-published book. Does not meet WP:BOOK.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Corrupt wikipedia administrators

edit

Please do not make statements attacking people or groups of people. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images in violation of our biographies of living persons policy will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay.   Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Xtoriez. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. ClaretAsh (talk) 12:59, 9 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Dragons versus Dinosaurs. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. If you don't want the page to be deleted, than participate in the discussion. It's as simple as that. ClaretAsh (talk) 13:00, 9 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on User:Crusio. You are welcome to rephrase your comment as a civil criticism of the article. Thank you. ClaretAsh (talk) 13:02, 9 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

What AfD means

edit

Hi, I'd appreciate if you could read this message to the end before reacting. Please calm down, and AfD discussion is just that, a discussion. It's where the community decides whether a certain article is conform our policies and guidelines (linked to in the above template). It does not automatically mean that an article will be deleted. Many such discussions end in a "keep" decision. Instead of posting rants about corrupt admins (perhaps I'm corrupt, but I'm certainly not an admin), it would be much more productive if you would familiarize yourself with the policies here (especially WP:BOOK) and then participate in the discussion presenting rational arguments based in policy. If there are good reasons to keep the two articles that I have nominated for deletion, then you'll see that all of is are very willing to be convinced. But I will have to be good arguments, not rants and tirades. Vandalizing other editors' userpages is definitely not going to help you cause either.

In addition, I have the impression (given some of your edit summaries) that you are the author of these books, so I understand your emotional involvement. Please note that "notability" as used here on WP has a very special meaning. It does not say anything at all about quality, value, or anything like that. It only means that some subject has been noted by others, for which we take reliable independent sources as proof. If you think about it, you'll recognize that it really has to be that way. Otherwise we would have articles about my pets (very cute and definitely notable in our household) and such... Hope this explains a bit what has happened and that, whatever the outcome of the AfD discussions, you will not let that discourage you from contributing here. --Crusio (talk) 14:50, 9 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of G. L. Strytler

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on G. L. Strytler requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Mr. Vernon (talk) 06:44, 15 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Book. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Saddhiyama (talk) 11:42, 5 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Four and a half years later, and here you still are, promoting your own work on Wikipedia, despite the many, many warnings you've received in the past for such behaviour. I've therefore been left with no other choice but to block you. Graham87 15:06, 30 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
