Mirrors

Thanks for contributing to the article Draft:Mian Hamidullah Hazoori ‎. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited! Bhurgari

Hi, please explain your numerous reverts of my edits to the Bhurgari article. Wikipedia has policies and guidelines: my edits conformed with those and your reverts do not. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 10:21, 19 July 2023 (UTC)

Hello Sitush,

I have an adequate knowledge on the tribes living in Sindh and is my specialty. The reverts that i made were right as they are proven by proper articles, and pages. For example the notable personalities, the likes of Ghulam Muhammad Bhurgri were removed. Ghulam Bhurgri is a pioneer in the freedom movement of Pakistan, and was the first person from Sindh to become a Barrister, children literally are made to study about him in primary school. I do not think any of those personalities needed to be taken out, as each of them has played a significant role in the progress of the province Sindh. The removal of pictures was also not necessary, the family tree is from a book of the Talpur tribe, scanned and put on Wikipedia. Abdul-Majids photo that you removed, should not have been as he is the person to develop the Sindhi writing software. All these people have citations. Sitush i do not understand, on why you make such edits on Wikipedia pages involving Sindh. I have seen you doing the same on other pages, I sincerely believe that we should always cooperate and strive to make Wikipedia a better source of information, and i hope you would wish the same. My reasons were given in my edit summaries. Which of those did you find unacceptable and why? For example, just being something mentioned in a book doesn't mean we can use it on Wikipedia - see WP:RS, for starters. As another example, we don't include in lists the names of people who do not already have their own articles on Wikipedia. - Sitush (talk) 15:54, 19 July 2023 (UTC)

By books, do you mean the British Gazetteers about the province were not factual. And to tell you, three of the mentioned people are already on Wikipedia, while others have credible sources on the internet. I do not understand the need for arguing Goodking1 (talk) 13:44, 20 July 2023 (UTC)

British Raj era sources are not acceptable, per the information at WP:RAJ.

If you want people to appear in a list, then create articles for them first. Please also note that the sources must verify their association with the caste, tribe, clan etc and that if the person is alive then the sources must show that person self-identifying the connection. WP:NLIST & WP:BLP are relevant but probably most important is WP:CONSENSUS - the English-language Wikipedia community has been in agreement about this for many years.

If you don't fix these issues, I will. I think there are other problems, too, but haven't checked back over the edits you reverted. - Sitush (talk) 14:32, 20 July 2023 (UTC)
