I AM INNOCENT! edit

I've been Autoblocked. You were blocked by Nlu for the following reason (see our blocking policy): Autoblocked because your IP address has been recently used by "Hessticles". The reason given for Hessticles's block is: "inappropriate user name, vandalism". Reply (my revert in Fuck) edit

Hi Glen, I was trying to clean up the vandalism of User:Vrrayman1892. (Along with his previous attack socks [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6], [7], and [8]), and one later one, [9]. The tag was in place immediately before he went on his rampage, so my revert reinstated it. Looking back through the changes, the tag was apparently added in this edit; if that edit was vandalism, and I inadvertantly reinstated it, then you have my sincere apology. -- Jim Douglas 13:51, 25 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

In this case, I wasn't consciously adding the tag, just working on the assumption that whatever Randall did was vandalism. Apparently he's well-known around here; this was my first experience with the person. I innocently sent him a standard vandalism warning, so he singled me out for special attention. Thanks for the pointer to WP:RFP. -- Jim Douglas 14:16, 25 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your Opinion edit

This link: http://www.ntpowerhouse.com/ - spam or not? Check this out [10]. The guy who insists that adding this link to the Bodybuilding article will make it more of a world view, instead of American-centric, is named after a dog that used to be featured on this page (Yembi the security dog)[11] - bad evidence I know, but it's there. I'm pretty sure he's just spamming as he has no other edits on Wikipedia, but now he's wasting time with an AMA request. I've never seen anyone go to such lengths to have one link inserted into one article! I'm not trying to sway anyone's decision, but if you can have a look and post your neutral thoughts it might save some people some time. Thanks. Yankees76 16:17, 25 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hey Glen S,

Please help me block the user at IP address 82.198.250.11. I'm not sure how. Check out the two incidents of vandalism (today 27 Sept) at the article on Michael Palmer. I see you have already given him the final warning. Now it needs to happen.

User:성혀니 - and your "STOP!" outburst at fellow admins edit

I thought your bark Stop blocking this user! at the other admins who were simply following policy was a little uncalled for - especially the instructions I given on his talk page regarding the steps involved in getting the name change were:

As he's still editing now well after this 24 hour window was due to shut shows if anything they were following policy correctly, and perhaps you could have been a tad more civil. Just my $0.02 Glen 08:26, 28 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Large portions of the parabens article have been erased. edit

Hello, There are two different editors which are both erasing entire sections of this article. Please oversee the history page and article.

I am a new user that does not know what to do in this situation. I think removing large sections of the parabens article may be vandalism.

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Parabens&diff=78477710&oldid=78447944 Thank You. --63.17.32.188 19:26, 29 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I added the info about precautionary principle and a lot of other sentences. All info was erased. My first experince with Wikipedia was not a very friendly one. I will pass on joining Wikipedia for now. --63.17.32.188 19:42, 29 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
The article on parabens is all one sided POV pushing. The information about the precutionary principle is gone. Can I add it back in or not?

Wikipedia is about a neutral point of view. The parabens article is anything but. --63.17.32.188 19:51, 29 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Precautionary Principle section for Inclusion in the parabens article. edit

"Hello",

Its me again, the 63 user. I think the info about 'precautionary principle' belongs in the parabens article because it represents a current shift or movement away from parabens along with other type ingredients. A lot of people reject this movement. Others embrace it. Shopping at a health food store is a good idea. Now even Walmart has a large organic section. Anyways, there are two users who disagree with me about. If I add this info one of them will eventually erase it. If not today then next week. I am happy with my contributions but sad it got erased because others disagree. If you agree you can add this info back in. I will let you be mediate this POV dispute. Also, I would like to add a some more sentences that were erased for the article to explain all sides of the issues regarding parabens. The current article is completely bias right now. This is more than obvious. --Frown Smiles 00:11, 30 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

"Hello", It just me again, the 63 American user. I have updated the parabens article. Someone wrongfully changed the name of the article from Parabens to Paraben. Since Parabens represent a group of ingredients I think it should be changed back to Parabens. Thanks for telling me to be bold in my writings. I added two short paragraphs that are Wikipedic and relavant. There is a current shift away from parabens worldwide. The fact remains parabens are a concern which I explained accurrately about the ongoing current event. More than 90% of cosmetics sold at the health food stores in the United States of America are Paraben Free. --63.17.87.240 17:54, 30 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Re:Wait a tic edit

Well I spotted those edits in recent changes, and I was like "KoS deleted his own page?". However, Someone (The Anome) had an impersonator(The MOO vandal) that I dealt with before and saw the I, and then I saw the user creation logs and saw that you were responsable, so by then I pretty much kissed my Wiki-ass goodbye. "Shit, I'm banned. I messed with the admins." I'm mildly familiar with the Multiple Account to Prevent Impersonation rules, although I was a bit late to remove it by the time I saw you had caught the edits.

Is it really applicable to have someone else impersonate someone in order to get the impersonator account blocked? I'm confused, this seems like something KoS mighta done himself.

Eh. Whatever.

Hello Glen, edit

I thought about using my account to edits pages but I still prefer to not use any account. Having an account is like someone is watching your every move. This is equivalent to having your phone tapped! Without an account I can do edits without big brother following me. I have made edits to Potassium sorbate and other articles today. It feels more comfortable without an account. Well... I have finsihed editing the parabens article. I rephrased about 3 sentences and contributed about 3 sentences that have been shortened by another editor to the parabens article. The article is in great shape now. After the storm I now see the sunshine. I have learned and grown from my experinces. I understand Wikipedic sentences must not include too many flowerly type words. My frown is now upside down so to speak>>> //(:_._:)\\ Frown Smiles 23:06, 2 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

I said "several" not "seven". There is a difference.

Also there are people behind IP addresses and they also count as people, hence attacking them is a personal attack.

Telling someone to leave is very impolite and a borderline personal attack. Saying that he is pathetic IS a personal attack and as such here you go.

Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on the contributor; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Quick question regarding the tag that you removed. The page was tagged for removal due to the fact that there was a privacy concern regarding some of the info that existed on the page. I liked it so I asked him to borrow it before I used it but he saud I should ask you. So, in case you are a little slow (just kidding, no harm intended) I will state it out: may I botrow your your flash-work for my page?

Thanks!

Also, since I'm a new user, and you seem to have expertiece in the area, could you give me a cool signature and anything else you feel like! Of course you don't have to, but it would be appreciated! Thank you!

Thanks for your response. I didn't mean to be rude but it took time to write that and I was afraid it wouldn't be added.

Can you please review my revisions and discussion on the Jean Case page that you tagged for deletion? I am happy to make additional changes if you think they are warranted, but I removed many links and made the page more factual and straightforward biographical information.

As a comparison, Kate Carr, the head of a brain cancer organization, has a page that's very similar, that wasn't tagged for deletion. What is the difference? I would say that Jean Case is a more notable figure as a philanthropist and former business executive, and the format of her bio is very similar.

Thanks.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mmiller20910 (talkcontribs) 11 October 15:55 (UTC).

unhelpful edit

Hi,

I received a message concerning my edit of the acupuncture article and was wondering why it was considered unhelpful. My change was well written and included no factual errors. The current article is very misleading and does not reveal the current lack of evidence for acupuncture. The writer clearly believes that this technique based on invisible energy fields is a valid alternative to scientific medicine for people who have real illnesses and need actual care. Only one of the scientific theories he lists is actually a scientific theory (the one I left in) The rest have absolutely no basis in biology. They simply use scientific terminology to confuse people into thinking that an actual biochemists or microbiologists agree with it. Under criticism he states "TCM theory predates use of the scientific method, and has received various criticisms on that basis" Do you believe this? It is not criticized because it is old but because it makes no sense and has no evidence to support it. The fact that it was proposed long before humans possessed any real knowledge of chemistry, biology and physiology, tissue organization, organs and organ functionality, the circulatory system and endocrine systems, the function of the brain, the existence of cells and genetics, and countless other discoveries made over centuries and tested repeatedly using logical experimentation and empirical analysis does not enhance its credibility. However, I do realize that some of my statements did not appear neutral. What does it take to change an article?

Disputes, revised. edit

That upon Ann Coulter's ignorance was something that needed to be placed in at some place without a whole essay upon her rather flawed beliefs on Canada. If a person is known for this kind of thing it should not be hidden, as it is seen that you do allow for other media figure's known flawed beliefs such as Mel Gibson's strong anti-semitism. I know a vast number of Canadians who have taken an offense from her opinions and it should be mentioned in some place. This is now the third incident that I have seen something removed that is a simple piece of trivia that a person might benefit from knowing. I have seen many similar tidbits on other topics that have been allowed to stay, so this is leading me to believe that there are impartial moderators on this site that simply delete information when they don't like the image it portrays, even if it is more unbiased.

Well I suppose I can try to find those laughably bad panel interviews I saw with her online.

Ok, I changed the notice on the page. And about the local js file, i'll give you instructions to do it. This is assuming you're on firefox, windows, and your default program files directory is c:\program files:
Go to "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\chrome". Then create a file called "wikipedia.manifest" (assuming you have it set to show file extentions). In your .manifest file, put: content wikipedia file://c:/mydir/wikipediastuff/. Then put your monobook in your directory that you set in the manifest, and go to your monobook and put <script src="chrome://wikipedia/content/monobook.js"></script>. Some good things about having it local is changes go immediately, you don't have to hard-reload, just normal reload. And you don't flood recentchanges making edits to your monobook, and it loads faster.
Hope this helps! GeorgeMoney (talk) 23:11, 13 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, i'm such an idiot! I forgot to put the document.write in the above code. Well, i'm glad you got it to work! GeorgeMoney (talk) 01:48, 15 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
If you want to include more js files, you can add the document.write code that you put on my talkpage in your on-wiki monobook, or you can even add it to your chrome monobook. And on css, it works for css too, but chrome css files you have to restart the browser to see any changes (so with chrome js you only have to do a normal reload, but with chrome css it requires restarting firefox). If you do want to use CSS put in your monobook.css @import "chrome://wikipedia/content/monobook.css"; . GeorgeMoney (talk) 02:00, 15 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Redirects... edit

Okay, the redirect you created I can see is somewhat verifiable, though it seems uncommon. But, Spanish? I checked google] and quickly scanned a few dozen references online and none seem related at all, even the Urban Dictionary, which lets face it has every plausible definition (and implausible for that matter) has no refderecne to it (it did have Dutch) Where did it originate? Glen S 01:26, 15 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Oh, well I got most of them from the talk page, I just figured the other people didn't have time to put it up yet. Spanish was mentioned by User:Kd5mdk and seconded by User:207.200.116.198. While I certainly wouldn't replace any existing article with such a redirect, since it was unused I figure that anyone looking that up would be redirected here, until anything better came along to be used with the term. I guess I should have looked it up first, but generally that's more something one does with making full articles or making major changes to major articles, right, not just redirects? In those cases, I thought it would make sense to direct any conceivable reference to the best chance of it's proper reference, even in cases of slang. Just not creating articles purely based on slang. Still, since you found nothing, no harm in it's loss I guess. Tyciol 18:05, 15 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Lorenzo Perosi edit

William Shakespeare ... widely regarded as the greatest writer of the English language,

Giuseppe Verdi ... the most influential composer of the (sic) 19th century Italian opera.

Leonardo da Vinci ... widely considered to be one of the greatest painters of all time and a universal genius.

Explain to me how those three examples (and there are many others) are allowed to stay on Wiki.

Secondly, I'd be curious to know how you obtained your expertise in Italian music at the turn of the last century, so much so that you "know" that Perosi was "not" the most popular (not one of the most popular, the most popular) sacred composer in Italy at that time.

You said:
"Explain to me how those three examples (and there are many others) are allowed to stay on Wiki."
Easy:
The difference, which is being repeatedly pointed out to you is the above statements are verifiable by respected sources I would use Britannica to verify your claim of Perosi being "the most popular Italian composer of sacred music at the turn of the twentieth century" however they dont even have an article on him. Perhaps that tells you something?

I dont need to be an expert, all I need to do is find the verifiable opinions of the experts. Your opinion means nothing here (and nor does mine) - expressing your opinion that he is the most (anything) is a breach of WP:NPOV and WP:NOR.
Understand? Find a verifiable third party source that asserts he is the most popular, as in, #1, above all others, cite it and add it. Problem solved. :) Glen 08:15, 16 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Wait, you are kidding right?! Have you seen the amount of warnings that IP has on its talk page? Or did you miss the blanking of Lake Forest High School and the addition of pee pee poo poo stinky doo doo. PEACE BOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII.

Note I would never simply block an IP for blanking anyone's user page (least of all mine), but that was also followed (on top of the vandalism above) with another disruptive edit, the addition of Category:LGBT Wikipedians to my user page?

I'd thank you to do a little research before telling an administrator that he is over-reacting. At the end of the day if there had been any productive edits coming from that anon then that would have made a difference. However, as you can clearly see here - thats far from the case. This has to be a joke. I couldn't find a sockpuppet connection to Glen and Grover cleveland if my life depended on it. Their editing trends are completely different, and if they were the same preson, why would Glen bother posting on the Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents board as Grover cleveland asking for LorenzoPerosi1898 to be blocked when he could just do it himself, as Glen? I received this e-mail from CleveGrove@mail.com:

You fucking homophobe! you think you can even TRY to get me booted from here? i'll fry your ass you cocksucker!!!

Coincidence? For further evidence (which I knew you'd want), I spent three hours last night trying to guess what password such a vitriolic individual might use. I tried many, and indeed, "fuckperosi" is the password for both GlenSWiki@email.com and CleveGrove@mail.com Needless to say, both cleared their mailboxes, outgoing and incoming, hoping to erase any evidence. However, I have the timestamps ... In closing, you can all demote Don Lorenzo Perosi till the end of time. He's been dead fifty years -- how do you expect to succeed in doing so? Glen I believe you did see the information about the user Harry Kewell 14 being blocked for impersonating himself while you were posting the messege regarding Jimbo Wales. If you did not I would appriciate it if you had a look on my page and my talk page and possibly there is some further information on Harry Kewell 14 talk page.

Kind Regards Harold Kewell 09:14, 19 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Follow Up! edit

No offense but I believe I know what happend regarding the situation at hand, it's pretty straight forward. Most times the user in question was not on my I.P. Why would I joke on such a serious matter.

Kind Regards Harold Kewell 09:20, 19 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Harry Kewell 14 edit

Sorry about my other messege I did not get your pervious messege when writting it. Any way the user Harry Kewell 14 was blocked regarding impersonation of Harry Kewell the English and Australian football player. The thing is he is the real football player and that means he was blocked for impersonating himself.

Kind regards Harold Kewell 09:25, 19 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Wrong Birthday edit

I did get your messege regarding the following up and also the wrong birthday. Just F.Y.I. the birthday Harry isn't the greatest with computers and often has a reputation to make typos and didn't often look at his user page the birthday date was probabley one of those typos.

Kind regards Harold Kewell 09:29, 19 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Huh? Are you talking about the indefblock notice I put on the userpage that you subsequently deleted? And whose phone number is it lol? Nishkid64 02:57, 20 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. Sorry, I just have a habit of tagging indefblock to pages that haven't already been tagged. It's just a pet peeve of mine to see a indef blocked user but no notice. And what do you mean about the "administrators phone numbers"? Nishkid64 03:09, 20 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Fred's an admin?? Lol...maybe that's why I was confused. I thought it was just some guy advertising his phone number. Nishkid64 03:22, 20 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

CheckUser result edit

Glen, I'm exceptionally glad this was resolved. I have indef blocked User:LorenzoPerosi1898 since it is now obvious that this user has been falsifying evidence to discredit you, Grover cleveland and other editors in good standing. I'm sorry you had to put up with Lorenzo's nonsense whne you were properly executing your duties as an admin. Best, Gwernol 04:36, 20 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

You're very welcome. I'm so glad there was nothing to the allegations he made, as I always suspected would be the case. He was not a classic troll, but rather an editor who was so blinded by his belief in his own position that he was willing to spin any lie, however vicious and unfounded to support his belief system. Wikipedia is better off without such people. Good luck, Gwernol 04:53, 20 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
In the meantime, you might want to confiscate the email addresses posted above. I've already taken control of clevegrove@mail.com - which you might be interested to know, was only created on October 18. Interesting how he spent 3 hours (the night before) hacking an email address that hadn't even been created yet. If anyone wants, I'd be happy to hand the address over now that the case is settled. Yankees76 05:20, 20 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Oh yes he did - at least with the clevegrove one, "your" address doesn't seem to work for me. I'm glad everything turned out okay though. Cheers! Yankees76 05:30, 20 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

That's the third 3RR violation on the same page in 4 days. Two Horned still doesn't seem to recognize that he has violated 3RR. He needs time to re-evaluate his editing approach. Jayjg (talk) 14:17, 20 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, your response to him put it better than I did. Jayjg (talk) 14:34, 20 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Hello User:Glen_S. About my block request, before blocking me, you should watch a little bit more carefully what's happening with Hkelkar and his numerous alter-egos in the Koenraad_Elst page: a one and same person uses different identies to evade 3RR. And I'm the one blocked. Try to be balanced. Okay, I know you don't care. You're just here to apply blindly 3RR violation without checking what's happening with a user like Hkelkar . Just try to count how many blocking requests this user tries to achieve under different identities. Just try. I could also use many identies to evade 3RR. I never do. Thanks. TwoHorned 15:31, 20 October 2006 (UTC).Reply
Very strange. No explanation, sorry. Jayjg (talk) 15:46, 20 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Oh, I see. His block expired 15 minutes before he made the comment. Jayjg (talk) 15:56, 20 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Well, frankly, it's not very strange. What I am telling you both is I that Hkelkar is the same guy than Netaji (a well established puppet master user -see the warning on his user page-), which is probably the same guy than other I was talking with obn the Koenraad_Elst page. I am also telling you that Hkelkar does war-blocking under various identities. For cry out loud when will you understand ? TwoHorned 16:05, 20 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Billy Madison edit

Hello.

Thank you for the welcome message. I was wondering if you could help me with a problem. Earlier today (Oct 21st) I edited the 'Billy Madison' page. At the time I was not a registered user. I made significant changes to the plot section because I felt that it was poorly written and confusing, as well as innacurate. However, when I returned to look at the page again, I noticced that it had been reverted to its previous incarnation because the user who had changed it believd I had added unneccessary spoilers. I changed the page back to what I had written.

However, I don't want to get involved in any editing war or anything like that. Is there a way I can get in contact with the user who edited the page so I can discuss it with him?

Thank you. Dr. Deathface 05:47, 21 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
