Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Annh07 (talk) 09:17, 23 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

edit

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:56, 28 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detectedthat when you recently edited Arvin Transit, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Freightliner. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Verifiability and level of detail

edit

Hi Foothill194, I've noticed lately that you have been adding a great deal of detail to lists of bus routes and bus fleets. Please remember several things:

  • Per the verifiability policy, all information should be cited to reliable sources. You often add information without a citation, or with a citation that does not support the information. (For example, in this edit, you added a bus fleet table with a citation to a web page that doesn't contain any details about the bus fleet.) If you cannot support a claim with a citation to a reliable source, do not add it.
  • Wikipedia is an encyclopedia - a source of general factual information - not a travel guide or a railfan/busfan spotter's guide. Details such as the powertrain of all buses in a fleet, and specific service details for bus routes, are generally not suitable for Wikipedia. For most bus operators, the only details needed in the route list are the route number and name; the list I added at GTrans is a good example for you to follow.

I understand that this may be frustrating to you, but these policies are an important part of keeping Wikipedia a high-quality and reliable encyclopedia. If you want to contribute to a wiki intended specifically for transit fans, you may find Transit Wiki or CPTDB Wiki more to your liking. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 07:29, 27 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at North County Transit District. XtraJovial (talkcontribs) 16:41, 27 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please consider this a final-final warning: if you continue to add unsourced (or flat-out uncitable) material to transit agency articles (or just in general), sanctions will be sought against you. You have received several warnings before for this very reason, and it seems that you completely disregard them. The WP:No original research and WP:Verifiability policies are most relevant here. Hi, I noticed in an edit you made to OC Bus split the names of the buses into separate links that are right next to each other, making it hard to tell that its actually two different links. Mxdanger (talk) 09:05, 2 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
