  Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to CrossFit—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 14:53, 28 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not add or change content, as you did at CrossFit, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Yosemiter (talk) 17:19, 28 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

I am the reliable source ad I AM the official owner of CrossFit. You want a reliable source, you have messaged her.

Do not touch CrossFit. Fitjenlauren (talk) 02:01, 29 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at CrossFit, you may be blocked from editing. Firestar464 (talk) 02:55, 29 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Fitjenlauren. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page CrossFit, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Firestar464 (talk) 03:54, 29 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

  You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you make personal attacks on other people. Comment on content, not on fellow editors. Firestar464 (talk) 03:56, 29 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

You threatened me. Fitjenlauren (talk) 04:04, 29 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

It is you who is threatening people and insulting them, and ignoring Wikipedia's policies. Please stop it, lest you are indefinitely blocked. JavaHurricane 04:11, 29 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Java....I will say the same to you....RED. I am already awake. I may like tea, but that is MY STARBUCKS.

I have threatened zero people. Zero. And CrossFit, the fitness business, those injuries are not mine and I did not put them on those people.

What made you feel the need to butt into a conversation that was not yours?

As for Wikipedia policy, I have not violated any policy. Actually, I was and am correcting the false information. Therefore wasn't it you violating Wikipedia's terms? Fitjenlauren (talk) 04:32, 29 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

You are violating hordes of our policies. Calling Firestar a "sack of shit" and leaving an uncivil message on an admin requesting a block, both are flagrant violations of our policy on personal attacks. Additionally, in spite of being informed about the conflict of interest policy, you continued to make disruptive edits in violation of the policy. Stating that you are trying to correct false information won't exempt you from the original research policy: Wikipedia is not a repository of truth but of what reliable sources say. We try to push for the truth but it is important to confirm something as The Truth, so we must use what reliable sources tell us. My trying to inform you of these policies does not (in my opinion) turn up as a violation of policy. Finally, I don't understand why you have an issue with my trying to mediate in a problem as an uninvolved user. I was simply trying to help you ward off the block you had coming by your uncivil behaviour and total ignorance of our messages. I hope nonetheless that you will read our policies, understand what went wrong and get unblocked so that you can contribute constructively to Wikipedia. Conflict of interest

edit

Hello, Fitjenlauren,

If CrossFit is a company you own, then you have a conflict-of-interest and you should not be editing this article. Please make any article suggestions you have on the article talk page. If you have questions that are not answered by the policy links in the messages above, I recommend visiting the Teahouse where experienced editors can address any questions you have. Liz Read! Talk! 04:16, 29 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Again, no. I know several people who have created their own Wikipedia pages and their own pages about their own businesses. So, don't try to make me think differently.

And I'm not fooled. Christian Grey.... RED. Fitjenlauren (talk) 04:24, 29 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Then they are also violating WP:COI. This it a Wikipedia policy which everyone has to follow. Also see WP:OSE. Firestar464 (talk) 04:27, 29 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
Other stuff exists and in any case we have a guideline against creating autobiographies. We nowadays are very careful about conflicts of interest. Please, I request you, please go through our policies on conflict of interest, verifiability and original research. If, on the other hand, you only intend to right great wrongs and ignore our requests to read the policies, well, there's little that anyone can do to prevent a block. Finally, please stop making attacks on people. JavaHurricane 04:32, 29 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

So I guess you need to tell me who is paying you to create this page's lies and information. Since I just read WP:COI.

That is a rule, after all. Fitjenlauren (talk) 04:38, 29 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

User:JavaHurricane is not paid and is an established contributor here, rather than a single-purpose editor. I would recommend you not attack anyone; lest you lose your talk page access. Firestar464 (talk) 04:40, 29 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
Fitjenlauren, I am not a paid editor. I am a volunteer on Wikipedia. Please try to understand that there is no cabal or conspiracy afoot to insert lies and false informations into pages, much less a paid conspiracy. JavaHurricane 04:50, 29 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Seems I struck a nerve?? And isn't he a single editor, also? I mean one name means....? Fitjenlauren (talk) 04:46, 29 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

So far as I am concerned, no nerves of mine have been struck. I'm still trying to help you out of the block, as I believe you can contribute to the encyclopedia effectively if you stop your combative behaviour. Please take a moment to go through our policies. If you feel the need to block me....well I guess I can laugh at the fact at your name.

Which tree? Wisdom tree or palm trees like in Song of Songs or apple tree in Genesis or like the supposed tree I "hit" or an oak tree that produces acorns or the Brazilian nut tree? That's a good one....👅 Fitjenlauren (talk) 04:43, 29 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please do not attack other editors; lest you get your talk page access removed. Firestar464 (talk) 04:46, 29 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
