Contribtions header on your page
editI added a "contributions" section to the article about you, partly because I was surprised at the vehemence in the criticism section, and partly because I felt the article very unbalanced as it was. Since I'm not an expert on you :) I'd appreciate if you could look over this (admittably short) section for errors or omissions. Mikademus 11:28, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
Welcome
editHope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. Be bold in editing pages. Here are some links that you might find useful:
- Try the Tutorial. If you have less time, try Wikipedia:How to edit a page.
- To sign your posts (on talk pages, Articles for deletion page etc.) use ~~~~ (four tildes). This will insert your name and timestamp. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes).
- You can experiment in the test area.
- You can get help at the Help Desk
- Some other pages that will help you know more about Wikipedia: Manual of Style and Wikipedia:Five pillars, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, Wikipedia:Civility, Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not, Wikipedia:How to write a great article
Please use edit summaries and "Show Preview" button more often. btw, I am a great fan of "The Cathedral and the Bazaar." You also seem to be having another user account, User:Eric S. Raymond. If that account indeed belongs to you, you may want to mention that fact on your user page so that it does not confuse people. Welcome!! --Gurubrahma 11:21, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
Your AMA Request
editI am willing to assist you in your dispute with User:KennyLucius. I will spend the rest of today (except for a few hours while I'm away at a family gathering) looking in to the history of this and then get back to you.
There is one thing I need to know, though--do any of the changes you made to the articles in question reflect any ideas presented in your essays? If so, you may be in violation of WP:NOR, which makes presenting and defending your case a bit more difficult. It might also help if you could provide me with links to these essays so I can take a look at them and judge for myself. Thanks! Kurt Weber 17:08, 24 December 2005 (UTC)
Please let me know if you are still interested in pursuing the issue. I realize it may be rather stale by now, so I'm just checking. Kurt Weber 00:44, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Full breakfast, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. Mutt Lunker (talk) 19:23, 7 March 2020 (UTC)

Esr (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
Caught by a colocation web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. My IP address is 2001:470:E34C:2:4DAC:266:D0E1:DF4. It is a Verizon FIOS static address. Esr (talk) 03:05, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
Accept reason:
The information I have doesn't show a connection to Verizon, but to something called "HURRICANE-IPV6" which sounds like a VPN/proxy/webhost. If you can turn it off, you should, but in either case as a longtime user I will give you a short term IP block exemption so you can resume editing; if you need to ask for a longer term one(instead of turning the thing off) you may do so per the instructions at WP:IPECPROXY. 331dot (talk) 07:38, 15 June 2021 (UTC)
