Emmanuel Séjourné note on my Talk page
editHi Escrivendi and thanks for your note on my talk page. My primary concern was the absence of references and I think you should focus first on this. I understand your point that the statements made about the music were not subjective, however you don't provide evidence of this with a reputable source. If you were, for instance, to say, 'According to the music critic Joe Bloggs, Séjourné's music is: "rhythmic, romantic, and energetic", (supplying a reference for this that could then be verified) then I would be more comfortable that this was suitable for inclusion. Without knowing where that description had come from, I assumed it was a personal judgement. Remember that Wikipedia is not a publisher of original thought. Even if you know that something is true, it must be supported – ie, it must already have been published in a reliable source. With that in mind, you might also want to revisit other statements and check that you provide evidence – including the description of him under Education as: "a brilliant student" and under Career: "one of the world’s most famous mallet percussionists". I do hope that is clearer and helps with revisions. I note that two of the references that didn't seem to link out properly previously do work now. Many thanks.
