Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2016 Brunei Super League, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Grand Sport. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Blocked as a sockpuppet

Request reason:

Hello, I was accused of being a sockpuppet with many supporting reasons by other fellow Wikipedians. However, I would like to explain why I am not. I am a Thai football fan who realized there are not as many pages on Thai footballers, Thai football, and there are many errors & wrong links in Thai football pages and would like to help contribute by creating and contributing to Thai footballers that are deemed notable (passes WP:GNG and WP:NFOOTBALL). Therefore, I made my new years resolution to start editing Thai football-related pages early this year to help achieve those goals. However, I did not know this was around the time a recent sock was blocked, being one of the reasons I was blocked. I am confused whether that would be the fate for other Wikipedians being blocked for Sockpuppetry for editing articles within a certain interest after a recent sock that they do not know of was blocked. Upon entering the Wikipedia community this year I have become aware of Sockpuppetry and how re-creating articles created by sockpuppets would lead to one being accused of being a sockpuppet. Thus, I have created Thai footballer pages that are deemed notable (passes WP:GNG and WP:NFOOTBALL), but changing the spelling to avoid accusations because I am here to genuinely grow Thai football on Wikipedia and to give notable players a place on this platform. I may be wrong in this part because it clearly did not help me not be accused as a sockpuppet and should have started a discussion or notified other Wikipedians that pages created are notable and deserve a page creation, but I genuinely believed the pages created were created for the right reasons - the footballers being "notable", deserving a page on Wikipedia. Nevertheless, I felt my contributions for creating new pages, as well as many edits on Wikipedia on pages related to Thai football, were helpful for this area of interest. I did not only create pages of Thai footballers that were notable but also made many fixes and created links between players and Thai football seasons. I think it is important for the future generation of Thai football fans to have a place to find the correct information and links about former Thai League 1 players and other Thai football personnel. As a result, I think I am useful to the community and my intentions are genuine. Ever since I started editing on Wikipedia this past year, I have never violated any policies on Wikipedia. Therefore, it was very surprising to find out I was accused of being a sockpuppet. I do believe my contributions are useful for this community, not only for Thai football, Wikipedia:WikiProject Football but also for Wikipedia:WikiProject Thailand. Blocking me indefinitely would only halt my edits and fixes on Thai football seasons which I am currently working on to fix corrections and make correct links to the right players on certain matches or current squads. In addition, halt the creation of other notable Thai footballers who deserve a place on this platform.

Decline reason:

This is a checkuser block, which means it is based on behind the scenes technical data that links this account to another. CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 07:57, 23 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Emperorxijin, your contributions are not up for question right now, no one is questioning your article creation. It is that a checkuser has found evidence that you are a sockpuppet of a blocked editor which has resulted in ban evasion. To be unblocked, you need to wait a decent amount of time and log into your original account and make an unblock request from there. An ordinary admin can not lift a checkuser block, that can only be removed by a checkuser who has found no further editing from you as an IP editor logged out or as a newly created account. So, please do not edit any further except to make a subsequent unblock request from your original account. I recommend you reading over guide to appealing blocks. Liz Read!
